  1. since when is this site for young people and teenagers????????? WSI seems like it is alot younger people with terrible opinions to me
  2. He'll make the team., but only because they will look stupid if he doesnt, and it will boost his trade value if he is not in the minors when the season starts
  3. believe it or not, this is the first possibly feasible plan I have seen you post. I would kill for SPod and Lowe
  4. I know this has been said several times. But it looks like talks with the twins and Koskie are halting due to cash considerations. It looks like 2 years at 8 million is their last offer to Koskie. An extra year consideration is what could bring him to the sox. Anyone in favor of Corey Kosie at third base for the sox next year??????
  5. They were saying that his arm tendinitis was not repairable and would probably be chronic, this is what caused the rift, because KW basically knew that he was a waste.
  6. thats why he would of been a pinch runner, but maybe we could teach him to take some balls in the ribs
  7. its ok, you are only there once a year anyway. They would never bring him back to the sox anyway, not with the negative reaction that would come from actual sox fans. Plus he does not fit in with the direction the club is going, not to mention the payroll crippling
  8. that sucks, he could of been a base-stealing machine
  9. Im glad, because its a good thing that we have Freddy, and basically only gave up one player for something we needed very badly.
  10. He is like someone who is on EBAY, trying to always win with the first low-ball bid...
  11. First of all, I have never agreed with many of the players nor plans that alot of the frequent posters have written on this site, so you are wrong there. As for fresh ideas??? since when is trying to sign big names for big money, a fresh idea?? or looking back to last year and saying what if, a fresh idea???? Face it, your ideas are not fresh they are stupid. When you graduate 8th grade and finally learn some grammar, manners, and a little about baseball, come back..we will still be here
  12. I totally agree, thats a good point
  13. I thought they said the wind current increased when they took out the old roof and all of the top rows... I thought there was an article on this...I will look for it
  14. I'll tell you what..I liked that his philosophy changed to the point where he was leaving some pitchers in longer than others. I liked when he kept garland in to work his problems out. Jerry never let him do that, and I think it stalled his progress. It definately showed me that if we can eliminate his one bad inning, that he could be effective, and it also lets him develop in a much more mature way IMHO.
  15. All you ever talk about is what could of happened if we signed the top FA's in the offseason, and if we dont, our management is terrible. I would suggest that we take a simple approach here so you can understand. The sox dont have enough money to buy every player on the market, as much as you read ESPN.com and think you know what you talk about, its just not going to happen. And as much as you play MLB or MADDEN on your XBOX not every team is willing to approve your dream trade, in fact it rarely works out where everyone gets what they want. This includes your trades that you have posted on this site. Just calm down and wait a couple of years, or at least watch some more baseball before you make your opinion known. Alot of us have different views on everything..if you look at some of my posts, I have gotten into several dissagreements on this site with several different people (you know who you are), but you at least need to listen to what others have to say. Now take a deep breath, turn down the death metal and relax
  16. I love thinking about BEYHOND!!!!!!!!
  17. To expand on his "perfect plan" we should of then signed every single free agent on the market, and some just to put in the minors for playoff rosters later on. Then trade for every hot player after the all star break, just so we can have some momentum going into the playoffs, then win every game. Thats a WS title right there I agree with the way you think Anthrax!!!!!!
  18. I've honestly never seen such a terrible worthless poster in such a short time. You just have to face that sometimes on this board, other people are right in certain situations. Maybe the death metal has finally taken its toll man....
  19. uh ok, that didnt even make sense. He was a scrub for a reason.
  20. BTW-thats your new catch phrase- 2 out of the three players you named were in serious question last year of even keeping their spots in the lineup. Colon's poor performance in the first half of the year brought about second guesses about his fitness, dedication and worth. Olivo is simply not hacking it in Seattle which is why they are looking to replace him. Explain to me how you would prefer over paying for an overweight inconsistent pitcher, and a catcher who is about to lose his job. Colon's contract would have definatley hindered any dealings we would of had with any FA's including killing any felxibility to deal this season.
  21. awww someone has PMS His "1/2 ass" pitching pickups have been anything but half ass, when you consider the difference between the staff he has amassed vs the garage sale crew that won the AL central for us several years. I wouldnt not entirely blame it all on his FA's considering they have worked out for the better.
  22. doesnt matter, this is all part of the rennovation plan that was laid out when US cellular was brought in to buy the stadium rights. The outfield wall was changed to green, the upper level looks awesome now. The left field project is going to make a nice impression, and the blue seats are going to be gone. This is all made to reverse the terrible mess which was the flying saucer that was the new comiskey. The trend nowadays is to make the parks all look old school, and this is one of the steps
  23. I dont even really care that much about them getting "big name" FA's in the offseason, because even with that strategy it is not always a winning formula. If I was to pick a dream senario with the sox it would of been not letting go of minor league talent, and actually developing players from within instead of trying to buy "big name players" and satisfy the casual fan. I enjoy my season tickets alot more when I can actually see the players try and play well other than a talented vet who is getting by on his rep, other than his work ethic. You have to admire teams like that , such as the twins, who consistantly bring up players that have been moved up through their farm system. That would be my senario. Im not going to b**** over and over about how we dont get players, and how they dont buy me an outfielder whose jersey I can wear for the three years he plays for the sox. We arent a large market team and so we wont operate as such. If you want to b**** about the management pick something that can actually be fixed, such as our minor league system, our draft-day errors, and the poor moves which always deplete our young talent OUT
