QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 4, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) Total mindblow. Almost as much of a mindblow as this was:

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 4, 2012 -> 08:25 AM) I'm experiencing a lot of interest right now because I seem to have a rare combination of skills/experience between this trading/legal background... I should really PM you more often, ha. Definitely sounds like an interesting line of work.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 2, 2012 -> 10:49 PM) agreed - it's too bad vaginas stretch and AIDS exists, right? Seriously the two worst things on Earth.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2012 -> 05:36 PM) Ok, rewording, that's fair. He resigned under outside pressure that only came about because of his sexual orientation, for no other reason other than that, and I don't know how you interpret that other than establishing a new standard that homosexuals cannot serve in a high level position in a Republican campaign without angering the base. Oh, I agree that it's terrible he felt he had to resign and that such pressure even existed in the first place. I guess it just slightly refocuses the attack from Romney's campaign specifically to a significant portion of the GOP in general.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2012 -> 04:30 PM) Mitt Rmoney hired a foreign policy adviser who worked under John Bolton at the U.N. Ideal fit for the campaign's foreign policy areas, where they've mostly brought back people from the Bush administration. This adviser also happened to be gay. Under Republican pressure, this spokesman has now been asked to resign...solely because he was gay. I'm not saying this is true, but the article you linked specifically states it was Grenell's choice, and even that "senior officials from the Romney campaign and respected Republicans not on the campaign contacted Ric Grenell over the weekend in an attempt to persuade him not to leave the campaign. Those were unsuccessful."

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 1, 2012 -> 12:15 PM) San Francisco is expensive. Isn't it routinely rated the most expensive place to live in the US, even more than Manhattan?

More on Austin Hatch, the Michigan commit who was in a plane crash last year. Very sad story. And I don't know why I'm surprised, but a lot of the comments are awful.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 09:15 AM) As far as The Killing, I was sort of half watching, half playing on my phone, but it looked to me like they were circling back to characters that were introduced in the beginning of season 1 - the indian chief that runs the casino, the Twilight-looking ex-boyfriend, etc. And who didn't see Mitch getting robbed coming from a mile away? Dumb. Her whole storyline this season makes zero sense. Did anyone catch the name of the father? Is that someone already in the show? They are. I don't think Jasper's dad was involved last year, though. And has the chief (the one who showed up at the Ames house) been on before? Also, I didn't recognize who was watching them through the window in the last scene, did you? The dad's name is "David Rainer" and I don't think we've seen that name before.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 07:01 PM) Those are so horrible. would just a little silver kill them? Are they rebranding themselves as boring? They will save a lot of money not using color prining. I actually like them.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 05:41 PM) Why would you want to bring heat on a guy with his employer? Bad Karma. Look at what happened to the Dixie Chicks with all those protestors. Was a shame. I really like that the Dixie Chicks somehow got brought into this. -
Wade was out of bounds when he caught that pass, right? And the official was staring right at it....

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 11:54 AM) My friends and I always talk about rooting for "The Meteor" when you hate both teams in a given game. Recent examples: the Giants/Pats Superbowl and the Kansas/Kentucky championship game Ha, I'll have to use that one.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 10:06 AM) It's more depression and sports angst than anything at this point. Rose needs a full knee reconstruction as he tore both ACL and MCL's. The vast upside of this kid has been cut incredibly short, and we just spent an entire season waiting for the first consequential games only to have the most important player on the roster ruin his knee and subsequently lose a year of development and quite possibly that extra step that made him special. I am not over it. And if this is what many fans are feeling, I don't even want to fathom what Rose himself if feeling.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 29, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) Oh man this will absolutely flop, which is probably why it will never happen. What why? Admittedly, I haven't been over there in awhile, but I thought that area in general was undergoing a general revitilization/gentrification. -
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 12:07 AM) Yeah, that's him. He will be a sophomore next season. Oh wow, I didn't realize he was that young. Since I follow IU recruiting, I inevitably hear about a bunch of Indiana players who sign other places; it's interesting to see how they do.

QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Apr 29, 2012 -> 10:22 PM) Who cares? Verdicts aren't based on a guy's courage. I'm guessing shack was getting at that Zimmerman might not have pursued Martin if Zimmerman didn't have a gun. And since even the claims that are most advantageous to Zimmerman concede that at some point he chose to follow Martin, then perhaps the situation would have been avoided if Zimmerman did not have a gun and would not have followed Martin for that reason. That would then tie into more of Balta's arguments on gun control, I think.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 29, 2012 -> 08:07 PM) I'd be rooting for the arena to explode That's what I want whenever Purdue-Illinois play basketball, or when Purdue-Notre Dame play in football. Somehow, it hasn't happened yet.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 10:19 AM) I can't tell you how much I love the Alshon Jeffery pick. Having watched him a lot since his freshman year, we got one hell of a WR. He was just dominant his freshman and sophomore years in the best conference in football. He was arguably the best WR in the SEC in 2010, and that included AJ Green and Julio Jones - and we all know how great they looked last year as rookies (especially Green, but Jones too when he was healthy). To me, he was more impressive and more difficult to contain than Green or Jones when I saw all 3 of them play against Tennessee. This guy is going to be very good. Well, hasn't everyone (the "experts" anyway) agreed the kid is as talented as anyone, but work ethic is his problem? He fixes that, we're talking Pro Bowler (ha!)

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 11:42 PM) This is just sick... Holy s***.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 10:22 PM) Obama can be a major douche. via In addition to what Jon Walker said, he CAN explicitly tell the Justice department to not enforce the law, since they're part of the Executive branch. Well, assuming their authority on that issue is purely executive; I don't think it would cross over into legislative powers in this context. Granted, this is off the top of my head and I'm tired, so it might be wrong.
