QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 20, 2012 -> 02:26 PM) I like how LeBron has white hands. It's from the powder he throws in the air.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 20, 2012 -> 09:24 AM) I'm no fan of Weber, but hearing a poster presumably being a Crean backer routinely critisize Weber is simply mind boggling. ...Then maybe you haven't watched IU this year? The past three games? Yeah, those sucked. But up until that point, Crean was routinely outcoaching the opponent, and doing so against good competition (ie, I'm not referring to the cupcakes, just the games where good coaching could actually make a difference, and was vital). As He Gawn said, if this team completely collapses, sure, I'll put a fair share of the blame on Crean. But I don't think it's fair to do so just yet. -
Over breaks, my sleep schedule gets really messed up. Thus, whenever school starts up again (as it did a few days ago), my sleep schedule is messed up for a week or two. Hooray for 4 hours of sleep a night! #FirstWorldProblems

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 18, 2012 -> 08:04 PM) I thought Hull's shot was in. That would have been awesome, and very Hulls-like. Missing the front-end of a 1 and 1 that likely would have won the game...not Hulls like. Figure it out and get some wins. If this is when we're gonna break down, fine, but fix it and start playing well come February/March. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 18, 2012 -> 07:58 PM) Illinois doesn't play Indiana for like a month so I doubt it. They are bad defensively and until that changes they aren't going to let teams hang around. Yes, very bad defensively. We deserved to lose that game for how badly we played the last 12 minutes or so. Basketball gods, why are you f***ing with me? If you had told me before the season started we'd be 3-4 in Big Ten play, I'd have been f***ing ecstatic. Now I'm mad. Asi es la vida. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 07:53 AM) No one is forced to run for this position. Anything the people might legitimately care about is pretty much fair game. Therein lies the rub. What people should actually care about, and even what the actually DO care about, is trumped by what the media thinks the public should know/will get the most viewers.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 16, 2012 -> 10:30 PM) Just realized that Talor Battle finally graduated. Thank the Lord, maybe the Illini have a chance in Happy Valley Thursday night after all. Tim Frazier is having quite a year, but they don't have anyone else. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 16, 2012 -> 06:34 PM) If they have one day turnaround, pay through bank. If not, go through direct website. If neither has the option, forget to mail check, get pissed. You should have made it multiple choice, in other words. This...except I'll give them a 2-day window (which right now covers all my bills).

QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 16, 2012 -> 03:59 PM) What do you think IU's conference record will be? No way they win 12 games and I'm leaning towards 10-8. They're not a top 20 team by a long shot. 10-8 (+/- 1) seems right. I'll take that, considering coming into the season I was hoping for 7-11. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 16, 2012 -> 10:03 AM) I have no idea what to expect in that game. On the one hand I could see Illinois getting blown out of the gym like they did at Purdue. I can also see them gutting out a tough win like they did against Northwestern. It does, seem, however that Indiana's shooting is coming back down to earth the last few weeks. So that'll help. My thoughts exactly. IU has the advantage, I think, because it's at home and because IU has just played better than Illinois this year, I think. At least that's the impression I get from reading this thread, I haven't really seen Illinois play much. IU's shooting is coming down to earth, but I think the past few games it's skewed the other way (i.e. they've shot poorly). I'd say they are a very good shooting team, and their average "level" would be not quite as absurd as it was for part of the year (better than 60% more than a few times), but better than it's been the past couple games. -

IU getting demolished. Coming back to earth the past three games, time to pick it back up. -
That Rose drive was ridiculous. He was facing the other basket.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:44 AM) My favorite was with less than a minute and a half to go, Indiana got 2 and-1 plays that were not even remotely close to being fouls. Think the Big Ten doesn't like drama? The one with Zeller was definitely a foul, and I can't remember the other one. I'm also amused that the first person to comment on the refs from that game was an Illinois fan. -

A loss like this can't be unexpected. You can't expect to win when you play like s*** pretty much the entire game. Jim Jackson said it best when it seemed like the entire team was just a step slow. There wasn't any of the energy that's been our trademark this year. Pick it up, move on, and go for the W in Columbus. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 10:09 PM) They're getting absolutely nothing from their freshman class, are they? Similar to Illinois it seems. Seems that way. Thompson could turn into a stud though, he's so damn athletic. Did you see that ridiculous dunk on the inbounds pass he had against IU? -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 10:07 PM) Ugh, except the 30 people, thank you Illini fans for knowing that you've been there before. This is what I had to deal with at IU when we beat Illinois and Minnesota back-to-back my junior or senior year. The idiots behind the basket would be the only ones to rush the court, and we got some negative press because of it. -

If Illinois hangs on, it's just proving the old adage of "Hold serve at home, take what you can on the road" is especially true this year. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 09:58 PM) Definitely fair officiating both ways tonight. Wish more games were officiated like this in the Big 10 actually. Makes for much more fluid games. I agree it's way better like this than the IU-Ohio St game, when Sullinger or Zeller breathed and they drew a foul. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) You should have watched first 5 minutes or so. I should modify what I said. The reffing hasn't been terrible, as Jenks said the refs are letting them play. It just seems like the refs think they are in the NBA and letting some obvious stuff go.
