Not sure where else to post this/wasn't sure if it was somewhere else yet. http://nymag.com/news/features/danny-chen-2012-1/

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jan 23, 2012 -> 10:18 PM) This, except replace Malnati's with Giordano's. No no no. Malnati's.

Loving Alcatraz so far. I never got into Lost, so I don't see/look for any of those parallels. I have this season's premiere of Justified waiting to be watched. Never really watched it before, but caught an episode once and really liked it.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 23, 2012 -> 08:42 PM) Honeybaked Ham caters but doubt they deliver. Isn't that what Peapod is? They're more groceries, not actual meals, I think.

Kudos to Kyle Williams both for actually making himself available to the media, and the way he conducted himself during the interview itself. -
Oh ok, must have heard it wrong. That makes more sense. Still surprising, though.

Wow, that was Scalabrine's first SHOT as a Bull. That's ridiculous.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 23, 2012 -> 05:16 PM) I may have misinterpreted it, but I don't think that scene was for comedy. Carl is getting thrown aside a lot so far. i.e. pushed out of his room. I'm about to watch last nights now. You're right that Carl is probably the member of the family that has the least importance to the storyline so far, but even if that's what they were going for in that scene (which it very well might have been)...it was still hilarious. I still need to watch last night's, though.

Jebus Boozer. Great offensive rebound, and then within 15 seconds you miss a layup and get two dumb fouls.

I'm a week behind in Shameless and just watched this season's second episode. Premiere was great, this one was fine, but not anything special. Except for the scene where Frank and Carl are walking down the sidewalk, and Frank told Carl he should be grateful that Frank didn't just splooge on his mother's neck, instead of guiding his sperm into her body. Priceless.

QUOTE (juddling @ Jan 22, 2012 -> 08:43 PM) I used to love Little Ceasars. Haven't had one in years. Their Crazy Bread was the best Truth. Their crazy bread was fantastic.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 22, 2012 -> 05:45 PM) I will say that from all accounts JoePa seemed like a great guy for 99.9% of his life. But that 0.1% may have ruined several kids' lives, so I don't think you can just ignore it. You're right, you can't just ignore it. However, my problem with the opinions many in this thread are expressing is that they are ignoring everything else. I'm not even saying you don't let the scandal tarnish a majority of his legacy; just that it shouldn't be his ENTIRE legacy.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 22, 2012 -> 06:26 PM) Leonard gets convinced that another year won't hurt his draft stock (i.e., Sullinger). This isn't just for Leonard, but for anyone this year -- they won't have the scepter of a lockout hanging over everything, which I think would lead more players to declare. -

What are your 3 fav sports teams?
farmteam replied to SOXOBAMA's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I'd say IU Basketball/Bears/White Sox are all about the same, followed closely by Blackhawks IU Football (to paraphrase what one of the Illini posters said, I must like pain) Bulls -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 22, 2012 -> 03:40 PM) Have a great one Balta! Happy Birthday! The Hoosiers won for you.

One of the BTN anchors put it well...a lot of people really aren't sure how to respond.

No need for that at the end of the game. No need for the way-too-hard foul by the Penn St player, and no need for Sheehey to be chirping. Just stay on the bench. Great job by the coaches, though. That said...woo, we finally won. -

Ugly game so far, but frankly at this point I don't care how it looks, I just want the W. -
Just watched I Know What You Did Last Summer. Sweet Leaping Banana, Jennifer Love Hewitt (especially circa 1997, but also today) is attractive.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 21, 2012 -> 11:46 AM) Oh man, it's not just that either...he also had 3 years of lost scholarships to contend with, a roster with no seniors for 3 years, and for his first 2 years, he was basically recruiting people with the understanding that they might get lucky enough to make the tourney once in the next 3 years. Crean was in an utterly untenable position when he came in. Anything he pulled off out of those 2 years that was useful is practically a miracle. While I agree with you and He Gawn that counting Crean's first two years against isn't really fair, it also isn't fair to say that means Crean is better because "Weber didn't have to deal with that" because we don't know for sure what Weber would have done in the same situation. If the question is, "Which coach (between Crean and Weber) has accomplished more?" then the answer is Weber, no doubt. As Soxbadger pointed out, it's not really close. Now if the question is, "Which coach would you rather have right now?" the answer (to me) is Crean. That's an entirely different question, and one that's much more arguable. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 20, 2012 -> 03:43 PM) Yes, I'm going to pirate a full article here, in order to avoid the deadweight loss of continuing this conversation. I am in full agreement with this.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 20, 2012 -> 04:59 PM) Karma was talking crap about not having any trouble with Illinois, then losing the next one. At least we haven't lost 3 in a row yet. Is it really that hard to admit that it is karma that you made fun of IU for losing to a team it shouldn't, and then Illinois does the same?
