  1. I love it. I put a DVD in the mail on Monday, I get another one Wednesday or Thursday. Admittedly, there was a three week stretch where it took two or three weeks to get a new movie...but that was the only time, and other than that it takes 2 or 3 days. It's quick.
  2. QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 07:27 AM) Jan Vinzenz Krause from the Institute for Condom Consultancy Are you kidding me?
  3. They do get wax that's hard/impossible to get with a Q-Tip. And yeah, they sound really cool. I think they work, though. Not to mention, they are real cheap, so it's worth it.

    RIP Ed Bradley

I always liked him. He will be missed.
  5. I hope you try again. Move to my area and I'll vote for you.
  6. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 6, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) A move to Fremont would likely result in more money for the A's, as they'd probably have an easier time selling luxury boxes due to the promiximity to San Jose. Dumb question, as my knowledge of California geography isn't very good -- if that's the point, why don't they just move to San Jose then?
  7. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Nov 4, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) After Snakes on a Plane only got 15 mil its opening weekend, I think they were afraid the internet was an empty echo chamber. Also, IIRC, wasn't most of the hype for SOAP months before it was released? All the hype I have been hearing about Borat started a lot closer to its release.
  8. Ding ding ding, we have a winner.
  9. Nope, nothing to do with avalanches. Here's a big hint, though: QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 27, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) Most of these questions have answers which lie within the word usuage. Although, this lie is in the riddle, not the answer.
  10. No and no. Good guesses though.
  11. I have (a relatively easy) one for you guys: Two guys are found dead in a cabin on a mountain. There was no sign of foul play, but they didn't die of natural causes either (i.e. it was an untimely death). How'd the die? There's a very good chance I just screwed up the telling of that riddle.
  12. :QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 26, 2006 -> 09:45 AM) Well, an interracial couple in Australia, believed to be the first in the country
  13. Can someone give me a summary on Benn, Wilson, Austin, and Hughes? Like what posistions they play, talent level, etc. I never follow this stuff closely anymore.
  14. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Oct 16, 2006 -> 06:28 PM) so far they are only offering a 20% baseball scholarship for me... but with the way their basketball team is starting to shape up that might have an effect? haha If you don't mind me asking, who else is recruiting you?
  15. I swear I read about the same exact conversation, except the coach said something like "Don't tell me where you are going, just think about it some more."
  16. I just find it amusing because usually people who want to ban books have never read the material they want banned. A novel concept, I know.
  17. Just a quick comment on the site: This may be small, but perhaps you should make your name more pronounced on the homepage. I only see it there twice (once on the button for the biography section on the left and once at the bottom of the page) and I had to search for several seconds for both of those. Admittedly, people who view that page likely already know your name, but I still think you should make it more visible. After all, if they don't know who you are, they can't vote for you. Just my thoughts.
  18. QUOTE(Soxy @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 02:14 PM) Sorry, but I HAVE to ask. How did you find this page through St Olaf? I googled it, and it was the first result that had the actual article.
  19. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 06:20 PM) I just can't imagine any prissy, North Side school such as New Trier or Winnetka assembling a championship tradition. Does the NEW TRIER TREVIANS immediately invoke football pride? LOL, just found out in their schools 105 year history they have yet to win a championship. That's how sterotypes are formed, lol. They rarely compete for titles in two of the "big 3" sports (baseball being the exception). However, it's hard to argue with things like this: http://www.stolaf.edu/people/leibold/SI_Ex...May_11,2005.htm Look at #12.
  20. Well, according to the article, he does have a son.
  21. I want another Back to the Future.
