  1. Was the service there extremely slow? That's the trademark of a Coldstone.
  2. I'm trying to find an email address to contact Buena Vista, but I can't find it anywhere. Apparently you have to be a member of the press to have anything to do with PR. So, does anyone know what it is/ where I can find it?
  3. Great Falls won 7-6. They gave up four in the top of the 8th, but then scored two in the bottom half.
  4. Since I know little about him: Would Stinnet have been a better option than Alomar?
  5. In case you haven't heard, Ken Jennings has bitten "the hand that fed him." Well, according to the NY Post (and various other outlets, such as the AP), he has. However, he wasn't doing anything of the sort. He was being completely facetious. If you read the actual blog post on Jennings' web site you'll see what I mean. It appears the initial hoopla was started by the NY Post article, and was then picked up by the other services. Since that was the case, Michael Starr (who wrote the Post article) obviously read the entire blog post. However, his readers didn't -- they just took the word of this so-called journalist and think that Jennings really is a spiteful former contestant. I guess really ticks me off is that a large group of people now are angry at Jennings- by all accounts a nice guy- because of some idiotic piece by a "journalist" who was just looking for some readers, not an actual story.
  6. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 07:54 PM) I don't have an XBox or PS2 , only MVP, NBA, Madden on the PC. And for journalism at Missouri, I need a Mac. I thought the rule was you just needed a laptop, be it PC or mac? Obviously going there you would know better, I'm just going off their website.... Anyway, if you get OOTP, try an online league. I know that a lot of people just play solo, some just play online (like me), and some do both. Personally, I think it's a great challenge competing against 31 (or whatever) other GMs in a realistic setting. But, to each his own.
  7. He was Yamamoto in Pearl Harbor. Rest in peace.
  8. A few years ago I heard the song "College Girls are Easy" by Eazy-E, and I'd like to find it again. However, I don't have any of those fancy shmancy downloading programs, or iTunes (long story), and most of my media players are out of date. So, here is what I'm asking: does anyone know of anywhere I can listen to it? If it's just hosted on some random website and I can listen to it, something like that (i.e. not an mp3 file or whatever) that'd be great. Thanks for the help.

    TV Plot Shift?

    Has anyone noticed that a lot of new shows that are debuting are undergoing a "plot shift?" What I mean is, it used to be that a show would be based around a family, an agency, a school, a person, you know something like that. Lately, however, it seems that a lot of shows are based around single events (when I first see commercials for them, I usually think the material would be better suited for a movie). Recently, there have been ads for "Justice" centering around a group of lawyers defending someone in a case (note that it used to be a show would be about a group of lawyers handling different cases every show -- now, the entire series is about one case). Last year, Prison Break all centered around one event (wanna guess what it was?). Vanished is a show coming to Fox next fall about the missing wife of a senator. I realize that these shows go really in depth into the subject matter and all, but still, it revolves around a lone event. In short, is it just me, or are shows becoming centered around a single event, rather than a group of people and such?
  10. Ugh. Terrible, terrible. A random Martin Lawrence movie is funnier than half of those movies.

    Xbox 360

    Older sports games will net next to nothing, only a dollar, if not less.
  12. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 07:35 PM) generalizing about all cubs fans is almost as bad as generalizing about all sox fans... Agreed. I'd like to think that not all Cubs fan throw trash on the field, just like all Sox fans don't run onto the field.

  14. Nice pictures. I'm sure the guy in the bathroom was severely displeased.
  15. Wait. How can Futurama be back?pun> Alright, I'm done now.
  16. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 05:51 PM) The other is a biography on somebody. The biography though is still in the air somewhat though. Yeah, I know, I hate it when I'm writing a biography on someone and I don't know who it's about.
  17. More stuff by Ken Follett. I love pretty much anything he writes; if anyone hasn't read A Dangerous Fortune, I suggest you do so now.
  18. I haven't read the thread, but is Samardzija gone yet? What about the Sox taking a chance on him in the later rounds?
  19. Northwestern always farms out Carmel real well. Also, Heads, is it really the "West CENRAL Blue Devils?"
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 25, 2006 -> 10:18 AM) I like how you busted them out in public Where?
  21. I stopped reading soon after the whole "Let's say 'Allen Fieldhouse' three times in three lines" paragraph. Use synonyms like "Lawrence" or "at home," even, if you're really desperate. Repeated words in a work that is supposedly by a professional journalist make me cringe.
  22. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ May 18, 2006 -> 05:07 PM) learned how to R.L.F.! Rope Large Females?
