QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 2, 2013 -> 09:40 PM) Does this mean my laptop has to be on though to make a connection? I guess if I have to, I will. I'll look in to it. I'd also love to have my PS3 in my room, and not downstairs where it has to be wired in to an ethernet. Yes it does. That alone is making me look for a desktop.

QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Sep 2, 2013 -> 09:11 PM) how did Goldberg finish? Unlikely to be a factor next season but I could see him in the pen in 2015 when the team will be better. I'm interested in whether the Sox want to have him try his hand at starting or keep riding him where he's been hot

Use something like Connectify to turn your laptop into a hotspot. Basic college student stuff, man

Yikes. Color me a bit nervous about the money getting slung around to guys that aren't in our first tier of players. With that said, Crow was as important as anybody in our playoff run. I hope he remains the elite goalie that he appeared to be throughout the SCP

Official 2013-2014 NCAA Football Thread
I can't even imagine what kind of bulls*** coach would be willing to coach the Illini now Hope Beckman magically does something to give us hope. I felt for him to some extent as the s***bags recruited by Zook were quite clearly not buying in -- I often felt that Scheelhaase was the only player who really wanted to win, and that doesn't get you far when you're not very good. There has been a lot of talk about how much the returning players didn't seem to give a s***. I just don't see any evidence that this guy knows how to coach, though. Hard to feel good about the future of Illini football at this point

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 31, 2013 -> 01:39 PM) No now what do congressional Democrats do? They'll be split, as will Republicans. The question is how the splits go. There is the possibility for a very, very productive debate and the issues are not so overtly partisan that we might get a good, honest answer

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 08:03 PM) I don't have a PS3 in every room yet, and being at school, I don't even have a REAL comcast box, which means not even on-demand shows or movies. I like being able to have Netflix in my bedroom AND my living room, and hopefully an xFinity app will come soon and then I can watch pretty much every TV show and a whole host of newer movies available too. I can't imagine this not being worth $35, especially once they add a whole host of more options. I'm willing to wait to make sure it happens

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 08:11 AM) Metabolite of Stanolozol is what the MiLB press release said. That's a true steroid, I find it hard to believe it can from anything on a shelf. If he popped for Winstrol, he's either an idiot, was tricked by somebody, or both. Winstrol cannot be covered up effectively and remains detectable for months at times. The only dumber thing to take would be nandrolone, which can be detectable for years (see Michael Morse, who kept popping for the same ingestion of nandrolone multiple times)

Syria
I see no good endings in any scenario. No intervention = ??? deaths, ??? in power We intervene = ??? deaths, extremist muslims in power From my understanding of this situation, we're not going to want either group in power, but Assad's regime may be better. Not to mention the long term effect is more money, more risk of getting sucked into another conflict, and more of a permanent hit on foreign relations in that region.

QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Aug 29, 2013 -> 06:47 PM) For those of you who don't use twitter... The Future Sox twitter tweeted that Nick Parent has failed a drug test for PED. I know everyone loves to talk to about him here so I thought I'd post. Imagine how he would have fared without PEDs. LOL My first guess is that he took jack3d - this seems to be the thing all the recent college guys pop for. It'll be off shelves somewhat soon

A cool AMA going on at reddit with a Syrian who cautiously backs Assad as it is still better alternative than extremist Muslim leadership; also thinks that chemical weapons use is "probaly an inside job funded by an outside source"

Hillary
QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 27, 2013 -> 03:00 PM) Too bad none of us have lived in Washington. Certainly there are TONS of people who know if she's a full-fledged b**** or not. None of us have sources. If I had to bet big bucks on it, my guess is she is the B word. Can't prove it obviously. I bet there are some people that perceive her as a b**** and some people do not. That's how life works. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 27, 2013 -> 03:43 PM) Greg, let's just skip to the important question. Would you hit that? That is, Hilary Clinton. It depends what your definition of "is" is QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 03:17 PM) Do you really think I would bone Hillary? Thanks for the uncompliment. Uncompliment? The President of the United States boned her! (probably)
