So I was thinking about e-readers in the Book Thread and I got this recommendation from Steve: QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 16, 2012 -> 09:28 AM) Here's the deal. Nook Tablet HD gives you the ability to expand storage, Kindle Fire HD is out of the box easier to install any app. I've had my original Nook Tablet for 11 months now, and still use it every day. It's great. That being said, the competition in the "smaller tablet" has exploded. If I were shopping today, I'd be looking at the Nexus 7 or 10 (probably 10, I love to use my Nook at the gym and stream HBO Go, Amazon Prime Instant Video, or Netflix and just watch shows. Makes burning the calories no big deal. Then just download the kindle app or the nook app and read your books as if it were a Fire or Nook. No real reason to not get something that out of the box opens you up to the Google Play Market. I like the price of Nexus 7....but of course I love the look and feel of the 10. I can't tell if it's a waste to get something the size of the 7 when I already have an iPhone. Meh. Any suggestions? Are there other products I should consider?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 19, 2012 -> 02:08 PM) I just finished "Colonial Roosevelt" by Edmund Morris, which was a great book. I learned a ton about the guy. http://www.amazon.com/Colonel-Roosevelt-Ed...s/dp/0375757074 I read "Theodore Roosevelt and the Idea of Race" and I have to say it would be hard for me to see him in a completely positive light at this point. Beyond anything else, the guy was just crazy.
  3. The part that made the least sense was him running straight backwards as soon as he caught it like it was designed that way
  4. Let the comeback commence
  5. Chance for some redemption I guess
  6. anddddd there's that drive
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 19, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) haha Bears decided to look at 49ers game tape and run their offense now. I'm fine with it. We're under this illusion that the 49ers have a good line when they actually just have a great coach.
  8. Have to give Kaepernick some credit, the only inaccurate pass he's thrown turned into their longest play to Manningham
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 19, 2012 -> 09:21 PM) We have no idea how to scheme against this kind of play calling Worth mentioning the defense has been on the field the entire game
  10. We have no idea how to scheme against this kind of play calling
  11. Defense isn't blameless here at all
  12. Inexcusable playcalling
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 19, 2012 -> 08:55 PM) To be fair, the Bears have drafted 2 OL in the first round in the last 5 years. They just suck at drafting in the first round and Williams was a f***ing disaster and Carimi has followed suit so far. With that said, Carimi at LT sounds a lot better than Webb at this point
  14. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 19, 2012 -> 08:53 PM) When you have terrible play calling, everything looks bad. Even if your OL sucks, you dont just quit and run terrible plays. You come up with ways to get around that. Exactly
  15. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Nov 19, 2012 -> 08:50 PM) You mean snap the ball, every OL step to the left and allow the DL to crush the QB. Is that really a play call. You see what SF does? Fullbacks, tight ends ooo ahhh
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 19, 2012 -> 08:49 PM) These routes need to be much faster and shorter, Campbell has no time to throw. Don't tell Tice, he wants to score 20 points per play until it is 2nd/3rd and long and he wants to run the ball.
  17. Honestly -- can you discern a difference in play calling between Martz and Tice?
  18. Pretty soon the defense is going to be too gassed to do anything at all if we don't have some sort of sustained drive.
  19. Mike Tice just makes everything harder. Take a note from the way Harbaugh is calling plays tonight. You can actually pass out of a run formation and you can also run out of a run formation. We should never have only the 5 Olineman blocking.
  20. Terrible play calling
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 19, 2012 -> 08:39 PM) It's not like this offense can score 20 points...even with the 3rd string QB in there. The defense will score 14 and our McCown-led offense will lead us to victory
  22. I hope someone on the defense is willing to pay 30k to take Kaepernick out of the game
  23. How many slants and short routes on the hashes will they complete before we take the linebackers off the line of scrimmage?
