QUOTE(Shadows @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 10:49 PM) Hardy did like a 30 ft Swanton Bomb off some scaffolding onto Orton who was previously back dropped off the stage Did anyone else find it awkward that JR and the King weren't talking during the time Orton and Hardy were laying there? I'm sure the audio just went out, but in the back of my head, I was fearing that something really did go wrong, which is why they were not saying anything.

2007-2008 NHL Catch All Thread
Per ESPN - Toews injury not as serious as feared CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks rookie Jonathan Toews has a sprained right knee and won't need surgery, TSN of Canada reported on Thursday. Toews was injured Tuesday in a loss at Los Angeles. At the time, the Blackhawks feared he would need surgery. An MRI said otherwise. The team is calling the injury a sprain. After Tuesday's game, coach Denis Savard told The Chicago Tribune that he believed Toews suffered a second degree strain to his MCL and said he could be out "two to four weeks." Toews is the top rookie scorer in the NHL with 15 goals. He has 17 assists as well.

THIS DATE IN WHITE SOX HISTORY: OCTOBER 25TH/I LOVE GEOFF BLUM
I had a big group of people over that night, and of course, we went nuts after Blum's homer. The best part was that it was a work night, yet NOT ONE person left until the game was over. Once the game ended, i left my manager a voice mail..."um, yea, the Sox game JUST ended, i'm gonna be a bit late for work tomorrow"

Not sure if this had been posted before, but looks like Paulie will be in the next line of McFarlane figures, to be released in February. I know it's a smaller picture, but check out Paulie's face....it looks pretty bad. At least there will be another Sox player out there; of the 20 different series, i think there have only been 4 Sox players: Maggs, Thomas, Pods and Thome. spawn.com link

Recovering deleted files from a Memory Card
so, back in July, I accidentally deleted some files off my digital camera. I just talked to a buddy who said it may still be possible to retrieve the files. Of course, the chances are slim, especially because i took pictures right afterwards that most likely overwrote any chance i had. I tried www.cardrecovery.com, but it wasn't successful. Well, has anyone used any recovery software before (preferably the free kind)? I'm pretty sure i'm not going to get the files, but i thought i'd give it a try. thanks in advance.

QUOTE(earthshiner @ Jul 27, 2007 -> 03:13 AM) not sure where else to post this but I got a chuckle reading this on Jeff Bagwell's wikipedia. "The Boston Red Sox chose Mo Vaughn in the first round of the 1989 draft ahead of Bagwell. It is the only time in history that a team selected two future MVPs in the same draft." I am fairly certain that Mo wont get in and Bagwell could and most likely will fall short too. It says MVP, not Hall of Fame. Bagwell won the MVP in 93, while Mo won in 95

2007 Post ASB MLB Catch-All Thread
I found this funny: Carlos Lee, who came up through the White Sox organization as a third baseman, would be open to moving back to the position if the Astros asked him. "He's got great hands," manager Phil Garner said. "He's quick. He's very quick. He's extremely quick and good." Lee is currently listed behind Morgan Ensberg, Mark Loretta, Mike Lamb and even Brad Ausmus on the depth chart at third for Houston. -Per Rotoworld

Soxtalk.com Updated!!!!
Ahh, what a relief. As other's mentioned, the 'other' Sox boards are nothing like Soxtalk. Nice job guys. The new board is looking great. By the way, what happened to the "cheers" smiley? Or is that just one of the things to work on? (i didnt read this entire thread before posting, so DOH on me if it had been brought up already).

Miscellaneous "White Sox" Trade Notes
i saw this on another board.. According to a major-league source, White Sox GM Ken Williams received an inquiry from Colorado regarding Mark Buehrle shortly before re-signing him. The Rockies also inquired about pitcher Jon Garland before shifting to Jose Contreras, but the Rockies were unwilling to part with top prospects Franklin Morales or Ian Stewart. -- Chicago Tribune

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 11, 2007 -> 11:58 AM) Zelda is one of my favorite game ever. So is RE4 on GameCube. I rented Zelda and Tiger Woods PGA 07. Zelda is pretty kick ass. I don't really know why I never got into the Zelda series as a kid, but I'm enjoying this so far. RE4 is only $30 in the stores, so I think i'm gonna pick it up. Especially since a few people here said it was good, and I read a bunch of great reviews for it, too. thanks guys. i can't wait for Madden 08

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 09:51 AM) Not you, the site. If they don't know the difference between AL and NL rules, they have got some issues. LOL, i can't read. I thought you were saying "This site is a bunch of dope" (with THIS site meaning Soxtalk). But now I see what you were saying. Haha.

White Sox vs. Astros, 6/8/07 (L)
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 09:43 AM) The site is a bunch of dopes. There is no need for him to play first because we are at home, and we use the DH in AL parks. Hey thanks, Mike. I was just asking a question, no need for the 'dope' comment. As I mentioned, I read it on a fantasy baseball site. I know it was a rumor. But i thought maybe he may play a few games to get warmed up for next week when they play in Philly and Pitts. You know, since Paulie isn't hitting.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 23, 2007 -> 11:08 AM) Any word on Uribe and his mom? I heard on the Postgame show that Uribe was at the game and was available to play. I didn't, however, hear them mention anything about his mother's condition.
