Am I able to use my PS2 Memory cards on the 80GB PS3 that comes in the Metal Gear Solid 4 package? I still have some PS2 games that I'd like to play, but if i can't use my memory card, then that will suck. I'm getting conflicting answers on the web, and was hoping someone here may know (i trust you guys more).

QUOTE (Felix @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 09:06 AM) Greg Maddux is the best pitcher of this generation, no questions asked. No doubt. And to have a pitcher from our generation within grasps of winning the THIRD most games in the history of the game...that is simply amazing. Kudos, Mr. Maddux

QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 01:27 AM) How many wins would Greg Maddux need to move into 3rd place all time in career wins? Wow, 3rd all time? I know he's had a hell of a career and hardly missed any starts, but i never thought he'd have a chance with how many games the pitchers of the past used to pitch. However, since you made this question, i figured it had to be relatively close. My guess was 20. I looked it up. He can make 3rd all time....but getting up to 2nd place will be tough.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 10:05 PM) And he's 6th in AL OF voting. He needs to be in CF, Quentin in LF, and Maggs in RF. But no, everyone wants to see Vlad and Ichiro. Let me guess- Bonds is on the ballot?? Looks like the fans have noticed...

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 23, 2008 -> 02:31 PM) Any updates? According to Weather.com, there is a 10% chance of rain til 9pm, then a 20% chance from 9-11. You should be good to go.

I was over in the Diamond Club reading the thread on the Royals, and there was the trivia question about Floyd Bannister's birthplace. Curious, I looked it up on Wikipedia. Turns out Bannister is in the list of Top 100 Strikeouts of all time (#99). And who is #81???? Javier Vazquez (actually, the list is not updated...Javy is now #80) Javy has 23 K's this season. If he once again gets near 200 K's this season, he has a chance to move all the way up to around to 60th of all time. Of course, there are a few active guys ahead of him: Andy Pettite, Kenny Rogers, Tom Gordon, Hideo Nomo (wow). Anyway, that's my random stat of the day. Here is the current list. Baseball-Reference.com rocks.

What teams do you pledge allegiance to?
smalls2598 replied to shipps's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Sox are by far my number one team. From there, the Bears, Hawks, Bulls; which ever sport is in season. My college teams is Illinois The surprising team is the Steelers. I credit it back to Tecmo Super Bowl, which had Gregg Lloyd and Rod Woodson, who are two of my favorite football players. I still have a "Chaos and Mayhem" poster featuring those two hanging in my basement. -
QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 10:52 AM) If that's how much our beers are...Yankee Stadium must be $10. When I was in New York last summer, both Shea and Yankee Stadiums were charging $7.25 per beer.

Who else is taking off work/school next Monday to to go the Sox home opener? I haven't driven to an Opener since 2001, when I wasn't able to find parking in the lots and didn't get into the game until the 4th inning. However, i would like to drive this year to tailgate with the group I'm going with. How early would you suggest I should get to the park in order to get a spot in a tailgating lot? I'm thinking about playing it safe and trying to get there for 11am, because I'm not sure how many people plan on arriving early enough to take advantage of tailgating. With brings up the next question... Will the park be opening 3 hours prior to game time again this year like they did last year? I know that according to the Sox official site it says two hours ( tailgating link ), however, does anyone know if the extra hour will be added again? I'd like to take full advantage of the time allowed. Thanks in advance.

QUOTE(joeynach @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 01:50 PM) That would really suck if we had an odd# of teams and then we have bye weeks. I say if by Monday we still have 1 open spot we should all just scramble to find a friend who would want in. I think its better to have an outsider than to have bye weeks. I was in SoxTalk league 3 last year, and we were short one team. With the commish's approval, I was able to get a friend to join up. And i know he will definelty do it again this year if we need him, so, just keep me posted on it.

I already have another draft this Tuesday night, so i kindly ask that we don not move it to Tuesday. As for the openings...if they are not filled by draft time, then i believe the league will only have the teams that are signed up.

Does anyone else have problems with the USA-HD channel breaking up alot? I've only noticed this on USA-HD, never had a problem with any other HD channel. The screen breaks up and gets very slow every few minutes, but then it goes back to a good, clean feed. It gets so annoying that I'm forced to watch the non HD station, which sucks. -
"Ball Four" by Jim Bouton (Amazon Link) It was given to me as a Christmas gift, but I just started reading it last week. Pretty enjoyable so far.

1) Your relative level of experience - I've played since about '99 2) Your preference in scoring format (head to head or roto) head to head 3) Your previous league # and whether or not you want to play in that one again i think i was in #3, but i'll join any league 4) Whether or not you'd be willing to be a commisioner - no thank you, i commish a few other leagues already

I could tell you which movie is NOT one of my top sports movies: Mr. Baseball I only had it on last night to have background noise while playing MVP 05 (i have 2 tv's in the room). I thought it would be cool to listen/watch that movie since i was already playing a baseball game, and i never actually saw the movie before. Well, wow, did it suck. But it was cool to see Big Frank in the movie

QUOTE(Heartattack19 @ Jan 15, 2008 -> 04:13 PM) I always wanted more from Mike, i knew he was a decnt player, but in his time with the sox, i always wanted more, in my mind, what he did was never good enough. Well, since he was the one traded away to bring Paulie here, I would say he did enough.
