Why is Tiger Stadium an option? The Tigers don't play there anymore, they play at Comerica, which is a very beautiful ball park.

Eddie Guererro Passes Away
smalls2598 replied to LowerCaseRepublican's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Back in 2000, i went to Raw with some friends at the Rosemont Horizon; afterwards we went to Bennigans on Cumberland. We were just about to leave, and in walked Guererro, Dean Milenko, Chris Beniot and the other guy (i don't recall his name). We asked for a group picture, but only Guerrero and Beniot agreed to take part. Anyways, I stopped watching the WWF when it became the WWE; and although I was never a big fan of Guerrero, I always appreciated the fact that he took the picture with us. RIP Eddie. -
I receieved this email yesterday: I clicked on the link at first, and right away it took me to a screen that said something like, "We are doing system maintinence, and need you to verify your credit card information." As soon as I saw that, I opened a new browser and went to the REAL Paypay site. Under the Contact Us link, I found that all emails believed to be fake should be forwarded to [email protected]. so i did that, and within an hour, I already had a response from Paypal verifying the email was bogus, and I should contact my bank, and change my Pay pal password and security questions. I guess this is pretty common for Paypay; a co-worker had the same thing happen a few months back.

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) how a guy who plays a little more than half a year wins a gold glove is really insane. The shocking thing is that the players and managers pick this. I could understand the fans, but managers should know better. per ESPN like someone else said, now that the entire nation got to watch the sox and have seen their defense in the playoffs this year, NEXT year Crede, Rowand, etc will have a better chance. they won't necessarily win, but they'll have more attention brought to them.

QUOTE(GasHeGone @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 12:22 PM) in the article he also mentions the yankees diamondbacks series of 2003...this kid sucks he also mentioned: which, of couse, didn't happen in 2005, but 2003. -
I had a deal with my boss...when the sox win the world series, i get the next day off work. So, i have today off. I then called her today and said i'm going to the rally tommorrow around lunch time. Her response, "go have fun! this only happens once in a lifetime!" Hell yea.

Congratulations White Sox. When the Sox clinched the WS last night, I walked up to the picture on top of the tv in our basement and kissed my dad. And I hushed all 12 in the room to take a moment of silence for him. To hear so many people tell me that they thought of my dad first when the Sox won really warmed me up. It made me smile bigger than i have in a long time. After waking up today, i drove to the cemetary and shared a Heiniken, one of his favorites, with him. Thanks for being a Sox fan, Dad. Thanks for making me a sox fan. to you. to the Sox We all miss you, and this White Sox World Championship was no doubt for you.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 08:35 AM) GREAT PURCHASE! I was at Duffy's on Madison Street last night and saw a guy wearing a black Jenks jersey. so i complimented him on it, and he said, "well, considering my last name really is jenks, i had to buy it." kickass. -

Too bad he never won a world series in his career; he was definetly one of the more likeable guys in baseball and had some pretty damn good years in Colorado. to you Larry

i was offered Trent Greene and DeShaun Foster for Jamal Lewis and aaron Brooks i have Bulger as my QB, but he's out the next two weeks, and i beleive Brooks has a bye next week. So Greene would cover me until bulger gets back, and maybe even longer. my other RBs are Corey Dillon, Thomas Jones and Willie parker. Lewis has played like crap this entire year, and who knows if he is gonna ever bust out of it. But then again, he is a former 2000 yard runner just a few years ago, so i'm not sure what to do. would you guys make the trade??
