For this past Sunday night game, I barbequed hamburgers and boneless porkchops. My brother took his porkchop, applied some bbq sauce and Muenster cheese, and put it on top of a bun (which i must say, turned out to be excellent). i asked him, "what do you call this creation?" He said, "the Geoff Blumwich".

I was at Great America/Hurricane Harbor about two weeks ago (tuesday the 5th, i believe). Huricane Harbor was over crowded, so after an hour, we went to the rides. To our suprise, we were able to get on Superman in less than 30 minutes, and Batman in about 10 minutes. And the line to the other rides were extremely short, too. By the way, i believe Hurricane harbor is only open to 7. So im sure the ride lines will get a lot longer at that point.

my buddy and his gf flew out Sunday night to go to colorado to get away for a few days. he figured he would check out Coors field to catch a baseball game. he is a casual fan, but he roots for the sox. he doesnt really look at the schedule or know in advance who the sox are playing in a given week. well, to his surprise, the rockies just so happened to play the Sox this week. so he was a happy camper.

i was offered this trade in one of my leagues: i'll get Hideki matsui and mark loretta for eric chavez and jimmy rollins if i accept the trade, my team would then look as follows: c-inge 1b- pauly 2b-loretta 3b-wright ss-uribe of-manny of-crawford of-matsui utl-overbay my concern is that ill be losing alot of steals. yes, i have crawford, but aside from him, my steals will be hard to get. and now that hes been batting 3rd, he my be inclined to run even less. but i do like that my OF will be improved (matsui will get the start over rowand and wilkerson). do you think i should accept the trade? other opinons?

me and my cronies plan on getting to miller park when the parking opens around 10 to tailgate also; we picked up $130 bucks of food and beer last night. and i just checked weather.com, the high tommorrow is 50, and should be in the lower to mid 40's during tailgating hours. hope to see a bunch of sox fans tommorrow!

hello all. last night i missed the show 24 on Fox. Does anyone know if they show re-runs of the episode before next weeks episode comes on? or does anyone know where i can download the episode online? or did anyone record it and would be willing to let me borrow it??

why didnt piatkowski or harrington play in the second half? we could have used piatkowski's shooting and harrington's scoring. i missed the entire first half, and i just glanced at review of the game and the box score; nothing was mentioned about either of them getting hurt and fouls werent an issue. i just think we could have done alot better with piatkoswki out there instead of shoot-first Pargo (i cant stand him). and having harrington on the floor with chandler would have made a worlds of differece compared to having griffin with chandler.

my brother and I were going through our old garage today (we are about to sell that house) and came across some really interesting sports items that my dad had packed away: 1. and autographed 8"x11" picture of OJ 2. old Sox scorecards from the 70's but even better 3. we found a box with some old baseball cards. i just went through them a few mintues ago. they are 1973 Topps. the 2nd card i looked at: some guy named Henry Louis Aaron. after going through the entrie stack of cards, we found: reggie jackson, a few frank robinson's, joe morgan, thurmon munson, rollie fingers, catfish hunter, don sutton, bob gibson, fergie jenkins, and harmon killebrew. but the most prized one, even if he isnt the one worth the most money: a Carlton Fisk rookie card. Fisk was my dad's favorite. if he was still alive and was able to see that card today, he would have the biggest smile for the next few weeks. i dont think he even knew he had these cards. actually, im sure he didnt, otherwise they wouldnt have been in the garage.
