Hey guys, As many of you know, this is the first year Soxtalk has offered the War Room. To that end, we'd love to hear any suggestions you'd have for the Mock Draft Contest. Whether you have an idea on the scoring system, the tie-breakers, virtually anything, please feel free to post them here. The contest will be up either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Here's what I came up with: -First round mock only -Second and third round tie-breakers on your team of choice -One point for every correct pick -One bouns point for every five in a row correct ...and maybe some sort of self promotion like a Soxtalk award (just to remind us you pwn) Thanks and make sure to join in!

Excellent assessment Jas. Brandon is the type of guy our farm system has been lacking for years now. He has the makeup of an ace: both skill and composure. If they continue to compare McCarthy to Prior, I'm not going to complain.

For those of you worried about Jurassic this off-season, have you seen enough to put those worries aside? Coming into today, Everett led the league with 12 RBI, has worked deep in counts, and has looked ten times better physically. Personally, I think Carl can fill those DH shoes nicely until Frank comes back. Although it's a small sample size, I'm sold. Carl's back.

Does anyone else see a lot of old school in Dustin? He's broad shouldered, pretty quick worker, looks angry on the mound, and he has the BIG ol' wad of tobaccy. Nice inning.
