the internet is a public forum so it might be wise in some cases to choose your words more carefully. Not that you seem to care though

I like him and am glad we have him but I have to say that his power and his speed is less than advertised and his arm makes you wonder how much it declined after the injury that moved him to second. He does handle the bat well though and am glad to see him in the lineup daily

Yeah I guess you are right, they do draw road crowds pretty well

Official Game Thread 5-3-05
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Punch and Judy Garland's topic in 2005 Season in Review
Yeah I couildn't get the game logs onyahoo but two years ago he was great in two starts at Comiskey while last year we hammered him pretty good there. Should be an interesting lineup tomorrow wiht the lefty on the mound but after an off day today. Perhaps C-Widger 1B-Kong 2B-Tad SS-Lopez (depends on health of Uribe) 3B-Crede LF-Pods (hey start him ayways) CF-Row RF-Dye DH-Jurassic hitting righty -
Popping my game thread starting cherry and it looks like one we should win. Let's take care of business. Game is on the U. Kansas City 7-18 (Road: 5-6) 8:05 pm EDT Chi White Sox 18-7 (Home: 8-3) RTN, WCIU KC: B. Anderson (1-2, 7.54) CWS: M. Buehrle (3-1, 3.89) Let's go get 'em boys and don't forget to bring the bats!

I don't think there is a market for a trade right now and they don't have the pieces at the moment
-
it's been so long since he was healthy but a tryout or minor league job couldn't hurt. From what I gather, Cano isn't ready and I know Womack doesn't have the arm strenght to play left. I think Torre was strong-armed into this

it's a dick move because she's not a public figure. Say whatever you want about him but you should leave the daughter out of it.
-
don't talk about his family, that's not right.

could be a good call rangercal

Moronott is is one of the ass-tute observers. I actually saw the preview earlier and I agreed mostly with what he of Kotex had to say

Konerko contract year....want him back?
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Hideaway Lights's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Howard is supposed to be a subpar defender but not exactly a butcher though. I don't know what they will do with him. He just keeps getting a year older and they tried him in the outfield where he wasn't good (there is no room there either). THe easy spolution is to trade him at the deadline but if they aren't in contention, what would they do? Can't really move Thome -

yeah same with Brendan Donnelly I believe. THat's why they aren't in MVP baseball and other video games -
Konerko contract year....want him back?

Millar hasn't homered yet this year and he's not very good at first but he'd be a fun guy to have around here and could come up with some big hits -
Konerko contract year....want him back?
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Hideaway Lights's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Welcome to soxtalk, you came to the right place. I personally don't want to see Konerko brought back. I just don't think he's the type of consistent threat to build your offense around. I would be more in favor of a short term-one year solution at first. Konerko has a lot of fans around here so I think the majority of people want to see him back but people were hoping he was the one traded in November. Just too many bad at-bats with ducks on the pond for me -
Twins player suspended for Roids
Punch and Judy Garland replied to southsideirish71's topic in The Diamond Club
add cyclists to the track guys and you can clearly see that the stereotype of the muscle-bound juicer is a small fragment of the using population. Does anybody blood test? I haven't heard of businesses doing that too much -
Wll I am on record as saying Furcal is better defensively although I have seen much more of Rollins at the dish than in the field so I can't say with any certainty on him. I think there is a definite offensive upgrade with both
-
it's an overused term but I guess if you are going to use it the Cubs are one of the few it would apply to. PRetty much The Cardinals, Cubs, and BoSox would be the ones that would fit the bill
-
THe Grudz hit was huge because once Edmonds homers then there is nobody on base. I never bought into the idea of homers being rally killers but it is big to get another baserunner on. The game was made by the hustle of Albert Pujols who could have been in a DP to end the game

if we are still in first place at deadline
Punch and Judy Garland replied to soxfan420's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Alou-8 erros lst year in left-no thanks. As far as Schmidt goes-I think there is no chance that the giants would move him. None at all. -

Punch and Judy Garland replied to soxfan420's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It's really not worth talking about sinc eit's just a fatnasy trade for the sake of discussing but I really think that it wouldn't take more than Konerko to get Helton. You wouldn't have to trade Sweeney. Just because you'd take on an enormous amount of money. I think Helton stays put hti syear but could be a Met or Oriole heading into 06 -
Look, people are just talking about ways to get better in the infield. If you wnat to look at Juan's splits last year from month-month and still say that you'd rather have him than Furcal or Rollins then that is fine but I don't see it.

Wood out at least three weeks...
Punch and Judy Garland replied to CWSGuy406's topic in The Diamond Club
Clement sucks. Very overrated. Always pitched well enough to lose, was on the wrong side of thirty and was simply awful in the pennant push last year when he got benched -

Yeah I don't think he'll want to go anywhere but New York is the only place I think he'd accept to -
I've watched a lot of him and his arm is better than anyones. His range is very good too. Urbie is a fine shortstop but is not in Furcal's class
