  1. Just got here: Time to keep the good luck charm going.... Thunder, thunder, thunder, thunder I was caught In the middle of a railroad track I looked round And I knew there was no turning back My mind raced And I thought what could I do And I knew There was no help, no help from you Sound of the drums Beating in my heart The thunder of guns Tore me apart You've been Thunderstruck Rode down the highway Broke the limit, we hit the ton Went through to Texas, yeah Texas, and we had some fun We met some girls Some dancers who gave a good time Broke all the rules Played all the fools Yeah yeah they, they, they blew our minds And I was shaking at the knees Could I come again please Yeah them ladies were too kind You've been Thunderstruck I was shaking at the knees Could I come again please Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck It's alright, we're doin' fine It's alright, we're doin' fine, fine, fine Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck Thunderstruck, baby, baby Thunderstruck, you've been Thunderstruck Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck You've been Thunderstruck
  2. All non-weekend games are scheduled to start at 7 central. The weekend ones will be afternoon/night because they are CS doubleheaders
  3. Why would Fox step in? They want the game tomorrow more than anyone, except maybe Ozzie and Kenny
  4. Its not an out of the baseline call, its a fair territory call and it looked like West got it right
  5. I was quite surprised to hear shoulder. It really looked like his back. Would a cranky shoulder cause a guy to pitch straight up and down? With a bad back, elbow, and shoulder-Colon is currently a mess
  6. They say that everyone but Lackey is available but there has been no definitive statement about Washburn being ready. If he is, I think he'd either be in already or he will start the 3rd or 4th inning
  7. A Gutsy performance by Colon and it was a valiant effort but its clear that he just couldn't go. He made it through the first on adrenaline but it was odd to see him not bending down and pushing hard like he always did
  8. Yeah if you consider that ALCS tickets came out after Game 2, and they would have if we lost both home games, its time to get ready to buy those tickets just in case......
  9. I tend to think that potential acquisitions would come in the form of a trade
  10. THere are more seats at Busch but I think they have 4K per game available. Not sure how that compares to our pool at the moment. I guess I could try that, its only 2 hrs from here
  11. Ryan will cost but he is willing to not be a closer because he is dying to be on a contender. That's why you have heard Boston and NY. Not sure if he'd expand beyond that but maybe we can prove that we are a winner this month....
  12. I am sure it will be. At least we have four games to have chances with as opposed to the NL team. That said, if it is St. Louis they will be willing to travel so I anticipate the number of people wanting them doubles since they are so close. Perhaps even Houston too given the relative proximity and that they haven't been to a WS
  13. I see that the Cardinals are putting their tickets for the World Series up on Saturday morning at 9 am. Was there a limit to the number of tickets you could get for the ALCS? I'm looking to try to get 4-5 for the Big Series.....
  14. I like myers but Ryan is the guy to me. I would be ecsatic if we got Wagner but Ryan is great too because he can be either a set-up guy or a closer, he has a power arm, and he can pitch against good offenses in a tough league as he has proven. Hermanson, Jenks, Ryan the new Nasty Boys?
  15. The games will still be at 7 central so don't worry about 9 pm starts. Is it too late in the year for shadows at 5pm in California. Don't know
  16. I think you can probably expect a 7 pm central start time for every game short of the ones on Saturdays and Sundays. Just checked mlb.com this is so
  17. I won't get nervous, just excited. How can you be nervous after listening to Thudnerstruck? Can't happen
  18. Tony Konrheiser. I don't care if it goes Extra innings. The Yankee fans and the media have already built in an excuse for them so any victory will be lesser in their eyes due to the air travel situation. We are as confident of a team as you will find so I really don't care who we face.
  19. Also, how much is the price bump over the ALCS prices. Did the tickets for the first two rounds indicate that the cheaper seats go last or vice versa. I'm sure it's hard to tell since they all went so fast
  20. WIth the ALCS tickets on sale so early, is it safe to assume that World Series tickets would be on sale by the end of the week? Have they already been sold? I just go permission to try to buy some so I'm keeping on the lookout. Thanks
  21. Usually its easy as the secondary game will be on FX or FSN if that area gets it. however, we are in virtually the same market as the Cards. I'm guessing that the whole country will mainly get us while just Missouri and Southern Illinois along with Texas get the Astros/Cards. I guess I'll gear up for an FSN game that way
  22. Was anyone else calling for a 3-2 eephus pitch? I guess that's why I am a fan and not a catcher!
  23. I was in the car until the 6th inning and got to Firehaus in Champaign at the bottom of the 6th just in time for the greatest inning in White Sox history. I stayed out from 6 until 2 and had a great time. I thought about busting out Champagne but will wait until the end of the ALCS to hopefully do that
  24. Unlike a 5 game series, in a 7 game series you will need to use your entire 25-man roster. Marte will clearly be getting the ball in the ALCS at some point. As much as I want to face the Yankees as we go on our anti-espn world tour, I would rather have shaky Marte against Finley, Anderson and Erstad than Matsui, Giambi, and Posada
