I sort of like him but he is a total blowbag too. He's kind of like an old Uncle where you like him but realize that you have to take everything with a grain of salt. I.E. Aaron Rowand the best center field arm of the last few decades, etc.
I love Bud. Yeah Carlos got a bit winded. Abreu still has a great shot because Pudge could hit 5 or fewer pretty realistically. Was hoping for an Abreu-Lee showdown given the four so I hope Bobby gets in again.
why do I hate David Ortiz so much? I really don't know but I don't like the guy. I gues I just refuse to believe he's a great player for some reason. Still, insulting they told Pujols they wanted Ortiz instead. Albert is a superior player
Tex busted my bracket. Oh well, he's still about to be baseball's next great player. Pudge surprised me. I really like and respect him, he won a team a world series and there aren't many guys who that can be said of.
I've got choi and Pudge in the bottom with Abreu and Bay failing to advance. I have Andruw and Tex beating Carlos and ORtiz to get to the finals. Much like Berkman and Pujols the last two years, Andruw punches himself out with a huge total in the semis leaving Teixera as the HR champ tonight.
Willis has been struggling lately and I think the chance of a blow up is higher with him against that big AL lineup with those great right-handed hitters. I think they should bring him in to face Ortiz in the 4th.
Carpenter's numbers are so good that he'd be the starter in the AL if he were there. He is a more than worthy starter for the NL. He just doesn't have that name recognition since he missed last postseason.
I agree that Pods is bad on jumps/reads, those who said as much when the trade went down weren't believed by me but they were right. Luckily his speed can cover those mistakes in left, but he just seems awkward in center.
for one game, dye looked competent at first. Maybe with an offseason of prerp he'd be ok there. However, his bat would profile fairly weakly for a first sacker
