I'm sorry Duke but you are WAY off on this one. It's not disrespectful to want your team to be more ready to win a championship and if you believe that then you are gullible. Kenny says things like that because its a way for him to be able to spin deadline inactivity down the line. Ask the Pat Gillick-era Mariners how standing pat works for you.

Who is the White Sox best offensive player?

I'll eat a little crow on Dye. THe RBI's are still a bit low and he has 11 solo homers but his average and homer totals are respectable now. -
Who is the White Sox best offensive player?

Frank and Pods. They are both table setters actually. Frank is always in 2-0, 3-1 counts and gets on base so much. He's been the man and Podz has clearly been better than advertised at the dish. -
Belle - Think he'll make it in..???

Which AL Pitcher Should Start The All-Star Game?
Punch and Judy Garland replied to AddisonStSox's topic in The Diamond Club
I voted Buerhle but probably with m heart more than my mind. Doc won a CY so this might be the time the world finally realizes how good Mark is which is why I picked him, -

I just ogt back and I'm a biut tipsy but what a great game by Buehrle. He makes me proud to be a sox fan even when some of the knuckleheads here don't -
Juan Pierre is on the trading block
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Southside hitmen's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) How on earth could anybody want a .250 hitting injury prone CF with no power and no arm, ESPECIALLY when we have a GREAT leadoff man and 4 very good outfielders already? Pierre is not injury prone and that's an asinine statement but what is not ist that you cna't have two of your outfielders combine for less than 5 homers. -

favorites or non-favorites, it doesn't matter. You can't give an informed opinion until you know who we are playing, or if, you know, we actually make it. -
want him or not he doesn't suck. THat's just a rash way of looking at things

Aren't we unfortunately due for a Timoniel Perez sighting? I know the lefty thing seems like a deterrent but with Uribe out we really need a right handed backup outfielder, or atl least it would be nice if we had one -
Corey doesn't walk at all. Can't imagine Oakland would be terribly interested in him. Only if they wanted to flip him in my opinion

I wnat to see Podz and Frank play but I fear with the day game afte the night game and the lefty (as you said, i didn't know) that the positions will be C-Widger 1b-Konerko 2b-Tadahito 3b-Crede ss-Pablo lf-Timo rf-Dye cf-Rowand dh-Jurassic My spider sense says Timo because I fear Frank will get the day off. I hope I'm wrong and that Widger is the only change from last night -
Brantley: Garland is the All-Star starter
Punch and Judy Garland replied to Jabroni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Especially in your own division. THat would be a good way to get Ortiz drilled in the chin. I think Doc goes two, and then they can have Buehrle or Garland go two more and have the other do one or jus thave the two do one. Very good chance that THe trio in the conversation knock out hte first four innings. Garland has a shot though as wins are usually what people go by. I fear Mark will get overshadowed but maybe Boomer Wells can lobby to Tito for him. -
My FIRST gmae in person this season (poor college student) and I am hoping that we get the sweep. I might leave the car running with Marky Mark pitching. Let's git-r-done! BTW, 1:05 start on Comcast and its Nancy Faust day. Lucky me. Wish it were Dolla dog day

I have Brian Giles as a part-time player platoonign with Larry Walker and thought I might make a run at Bonds. THis thread isn't so much about that trade but just trying to figure out who is equal value. I came up with some names: Derek Lowe, CC Sabathia, Jim Thome. With all the conflicting rumors out there, who are guys you have seen in Bonds deals or could see

The manager is in the AL East so I expect Halladay and he would be deserving. -

you can't stretch neal out in time for him to be effective this year and give his arm a shot to stay healthy. Not a good suggestion at all
-
I agree Kalapse. Outside chance for Podz but outfields usually get crowded fast. Is there an outside chance that we sneak everett in based on pedigree? I know that few of us would pick him ot go but maybe he gets in on rep the wasy Loaiza did last year. Just wondering. If we have the best record in baseball then they HAVE to give us 3 I think.

I don't like the 19 age limit. I'm waiting out a few girls' 18th birthdays. Wait, what are you guys talking about? -
GOod post, I think that even though Hernandez is on the 15 day DL he will only be back in that time if the B-Mac who got hammered in Texas shows up. Otherwise, I think they'll just target for after the AS break so that decision will be delayed along with the Ross GLoad one for a little bit

Hernandez was excellent before 2000 in the playoffs and since has been decent, a mixed bag of really good starts and not so good starts in the various postseason contests.
