100% agreed. That is where the Schoeinweis/Grilli talk is coming from. KW knows that he needs another starter, he has been this active so far, and with money to spend he gets it done before the season.

IIRC, Gload is just happy to be in the bigs after spending an awful long time in the minors. The Sox just need Ross to continue doing what he did last year.

I think KW is going to go after and get Shawn Chacon to fill the 5th spot, JMO.

I'm not too thrilled with Jose Contreras as the number #3. Hopefully KW gets a guy who can fit into the 3 spot and move Contreras and Judy down.

I don't know too much about him, but I think The Sox will be ok with Davis and Burke.

I think KW signs at least 1 of Jermaine Dye and Matt Clement this weekend. I don't know why, I just do. Although, I would prefer Renteria.

He mentions trying to keep Schoenweis, which as a 5th starter, I could live with Schoenweis. I was actually thinking along the lines as using Cotts at the 5 only if he is going to add Renteria and Dye, and putting Scho in the pen. I could live with that, but he needs to sign Renteria and Dye to make that acceptable, IMO.

At chicagosports.com under the "Sox hope right can solidify Bullpen" article, there are some interesting quotes from KW regarding the 5th starter spot. After reading this, I just get that sinking feeling that he will not be signing a starter.

Perosnally, I think they should give whatever it takes to land Renteria.
