  1. Would it be so hard to replace the seats throughout the season? Roadtrips seem like a perfect time to finish them up so it's all green for the 2006 World Series.
  2. "Keep him away from the tables"- I thought this article was going to have to do something with a nasty gambling habit.
  3. im in the process of collecting money from the group im bringing, might be another week.
  4. lopez is in the sox pen on mlb 06 the show. the video games are always right jk
  5. is there a limit on the number of tickets we can purchase?
  6. It mentions that once the lower reserve seats are sold out, they will sell you other seats. Any idea on how many seats were held in the lower level for core of the core?
  7. how much longer until the flyer is ready?
  8. this is like the girlfriend who u had dated for 3 yrs. when u first met her, she was hot, fun, a sexual predator, but after the 3 yrs,she lost it all. put on 50 pounds, was a downer and never did anything. so u dump her, cause u know/think u can do better. then a year later, u go out to a bar and u see your ex and she lost the 50 pounds, is out having a fun time, only this time, she is with another guy while your depressed and miserable.
  9. i didnt get an email either.....its bulls***
  10. they should bring back those old uni's one night for a turn back the clock day. it would funny as all hell.
  11. all anyone needs to do is look around. look how many more people wear sox hats, tshirts, jerseys, sweatshirts, bumper stickers etc than just a year ago. everywhere i go now i see sox gear, that tells u something. are there still a ton of cub fans? sure. there always will be. there little setup on the northside attracts fans, not the team on the field. wrigley is just one of the many bars on the northside, except its outside and there is some baseball being played. its part of a pub crawl in the summer time. with all that said, i will take comiskey/the cell anyday. i like to tailgate, i like a clean and large stadium, i like being with the average joe fan in the stands watching baseball and discussing baseball rather than hit on cute drunk chicks, i do that at other times. it's just real nice that we finally have a first class team on the field and that we get to support a world champion baseball team in our lifetimes.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 03:37 PM) Then he's not going to the mets because 2 of the 3 you just mentioned are untouchable (Wright is beyond untouchable) and Milledge will not be comming here for a 50 year old Contreras who's contract is up. I only mention those 3 names, becuase those are the only 3 that would be an upgrade to our ballclub. We don't have too many holes on our team. The left side of the infield, is the only area I would upgrade. Crede and Uribe are probably our two weakest position spots. Some may say Anderson may be weak as well since he is unproven at the MLB level but they dont have a ML ready CF except Beltran and that trade won't be happening. I say Milledge because he is one of their few remaining stud prospects remaining after Minaya traded everyone away for the Marlins 1B and C and he looks to be a stud come 2007.
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 01:08 AM) Lol go check the ESPN Mets board... all of them just about think giving up Floyd alone is overpaying for Contreras...... I know they got an up and close look at him while he was bad with the yanks, so maybe thats all they remember......maybe its like the Cubs trading kerry wood to seattle and he has one awesome second half and then we were in dire need of a pitcher and his name kept coming up, im sure most of us wouldnt want kerry wood either. but it still dosent change the fact that jose isnt going to be traded unless we get reyes, milledge or wright for him.
  14. this is a great quote from the Mets message board about Contreras and the staff as a whole: "Considering that he is part of the 'amazing' White Sox rotation, I wonder how many would be in favour of this trade. I'd rather he was a mid season possibility, still not convinced that he like others in that rotation wasn't performing above his head." its so laughable, those new yorkers really hate the second city.
  15. if we traded count to the mets id rather it be with uribe and get jose reyes plus some bullpen help.....ozzie really wanted a #2 hitter with speed and reyes would fit the bill....he rarely walks, but he is still very good
  16. I'm starting a keeper league this yr with friends and we were using cbs the previous yrs, but for a keeper league with the rules we are using, we needed a more flexible site as far as drafting, trading picks, etc. Searching through fantasybaseballcafe.com , i came across fanstar.com and it looked very good and wanted to know if others have used it and what you think about it. I searched the net and didnt find too many reviews of the site, so im hoping some fellow soxtalkers can help me out here. Thanks,Jeff
  17. typical ESPN doin what they do best....um the Yankees and Red Sox will still be good, everyone else who was good will be bad...... go figure
  18. i also believe that each hof voter gets up to 10 votes, most choose not to use them all though....nolan ryan got in on the first ballot but didnt recieve 100% of the vote, which is just assinine and shows u how far the hof voters have their head's up their asses... im a firm believer blyleven should be in......the guy has 3701(5th all time) strikeouts and he cant get in? r u serious? he also has 287(25th all time) wins....its just retarded...voters will point out that his career winning pct. isnt good or he only made 2 allstar teams but here are some more stats of his: 240 cg 60 shut outs 3.31 era 1.19 whip apparently he sucks with those numbers...the hof fame is full of BS, Brian Gorman style.
