  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 29, 2009 -> 12:52 PM) Thank you KW for giving us Colon, Contreras, Wise, Lillibridge, Pena, and Garcia this year. The easiest division to win in baseball and we're handcuffed with a pile of garbage players. can we add alexi to that?
  2. they dont have no F@#CKING BALLS if they dont drill that fat piece of S@HIT tommorow!!!!!!this is a joke why even start peavy!!!!!!
  3. your right about pods, but his D and base running sucks, contenders yankees, red sox, angels Ellsbury, jeter, figgins, so my #1 thing would be figgins in the off season.
  4. i said it before this team needs a spark, from Ozzie or for a pitcher to step up and drill somebody(youks).
  5. Kenny Williams is seeing that he cant compete with the big boys UNTIL we get a legit leadoff hitter, get rid of S#ITBRNK,and get Alexi outta of SS. Also i love JD but he needs to be outta of the line-up this is not the time to let him work outta his slump and keep hitting lazy pop ups to the infield!
  6. Pods LF Bacon SS Dye DH Rios CF Konerko 1B AJ C CQ RF Lexi 2B Nix 3RD why not , am done watching lexi at SS
  7. This team just needs a spark of some sort(bench clearing brawl, ozzie getting tossed,or AJ to stir something)it just seems like there flat and outta of it sometimes,or maybe stir something up by saying jenks you are now the set-up man for Thornton!!!!!! Or Peavy goes out and dominates the cubbies and we take off from there!!!!! BUT this team is WAY better than what it is showing and maybe we get hot at the right time like 05
  8. hey kenny maybe just maybe people are holding onto there money just in case they dont have a job next week not everybody lives in happyland like yourself hey better yet tell me why are 2 best prospects are up and playing out of postion that tells me you didnt do your job mr williams now just stop being a little b**** and go get roy
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 5, 2009 -> 09:14 AM) If AZ offered Haren for Poreda, Richard, Allen, Flowers, Hudson and Shelby, if I were KW I'd have a Haren jersey made before I hung up the phone. It would be more than that, if he truly was available. He may be "available" just like a lot of other things are "available", if you want to overpay by triple maybe the D-Backs say yes, but they certainly won't be moving Haren for prospects that aren't sure-things. How would people here feel if the White Sox continued to play like they played in May and were talking about trading Buerhle for a package of players who have barely played above AA, and some with little success at that level? Outrage I think it would be and rightly so. As bad as AZ has been, they still have a young core that should be expected to do well in coming seasons. With Webb heading into shoulder surgery, trading Haren would be poison. He's better and cheaper than Peavy. He would cost significantly more. Wow if we were to give that up what could the Angels even offer close to that?
  10. we have a dumb ass manager....maybe somebody should tell DJ he had 3 pitches to waste!!!!!
  11. can we go out and just kick the S*** out these bozos geez we should be 3-0 against them this year!!!!!!!! lets get it done mark

  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 10:38 AM) That's why I suggested (in another thread I think) we do Dotel+Anderson for Johnson+Prospect. I think the reality is, Johnson is a large upgrade over Anderson, we don't know what Quentin's health will be like, and the numbers Johnson puts up aren't far below higher paid guys like Fukudome. If we can get him and a prospect, for Dotel, if the prospect is the right one, I'd do it. But then, I also think that Dotel is likely to go downhill the rest of this year. how about dotel and anderson for johnson and harden?
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) Very dissapointing end. But, yes, this team does deserve our thanks. well said, THANKS
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 07:34 PM) Griffey won't be around. The bigger question is whether or not Brian Anderson and Fields will be, along with Swisher and Vazquez. i hope Anderson stays and starts in CF worst case 4th OF Also maybe Thome will Retire, but hey good year CQ,floyd,BIG GAME Danks,A-RAm what good young TALENT

  17. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 09:59 PM) Let's look at what's left of this team We have a incredibly fatigued pitching staff We have two youngsters in Danks and Floyd who have absolutely no experience pitching in pressure situations We have a veteran with "Great Stuff" that can't pitch on 3 days rest, nor can he pitch in big-games, and has been questioned by more than two (at least) members of the White Sox (AJ and Ozzie, probably more) We have a veteran with big-game experience and success, but is pitching on short rest We have an incredibly inconsistent offense that can only score runs via the homerun, period. These hitters will be shutdown in Tampa Bay. --- The Indians are playing with drive, determination, and focus that they will resemble this type of team in 2009. They also probably have a few players trying to play spoiler after what happened to them in 2005. Basically, the Tribe are playing with a purpose. Their team has come together, and has played incredible baseball after Sabathia was traded. As Stone said during the game, after he was dealt, "It's as if a huge weight had been lifted off the shoulders of Indians players". The White Sox, have no desire, no heart, no sense of urgency. Even if they had all of the previous things, their pitching staff is cooked. They are physically and mentally weak, and are not capable of winning big games outside of Mark Buerhle. Unfortunately, even with our most capable pitcher taking the mound tomorrow, his offense will get shutdown and will be unable to score any runs off Cy Young candidate Brian Bollington (sp?). Meanwhile, the bullpen will enter the game and give up a minimum of three runs, putting the game out of reach. The Twins will not lose their game tomorrow, and it will wrap up the season for the 2008 White Sox. My opinions on a few things: Our pitching staff is sautee'd, marinated, and burnt to a crisp. With an incapable offense starting off the season, followed by a ridiculously poor September, the pitching staff's arms are more than likely overused and incredibly fatigued, reducing their command as well as velocity. Follow the overuse up, with short rest and you have almost zero percent change of them being effective in a playoff series. It would be a 3 game, monster blowout by Tampa Bay. Our team has also seen untold amounts of injuries this year, which have lead to a lineup of pressing sluggers, trying to do way too much at the plate, resulting in weak pop-ups, strikeouts, and double-plays. Lack of any team speed (When Cabrerra, or Ramirez get on base they are as cemented to the bag as any of our lumberjacks would be), enforces our 1-dimensional approach, which ends up being an incredibly easy lineup to face, even for young inexperienced pitchers. What I feel needs to be changed for 2009: Insert some speed at the top of the order, along with some baseball IQ as well (Ramirez lacks this). Quentin will resume his spot at #3, which he's perfect for filling. Either Konerko, Dye, or Thome needs to somehow be convinced of a trade, as having almost 50% of our lineup consisting of DH-type players, reduces this teams chances of winning games due to their station-to-station approach. Our pitching staff is a toss-up for 2009. Will the overuse of 2008 reflect in their ability and performance next year? It's hard to say. It certainly has shown to affect other teams pitchers (As well as our own in 2006). Pitchers such as Verlander, Carmona, etc. have shown an inability to rebound after a year of post-season play. I, as well as many others here, do not like our chances of winning this division (However possible it still may be). With that said, our chances in the playoffs due to the overuse of our pitching staff as well as injuries (Contreras, Linebrink), and required use of pitchers such as Richard, Wasserman, Carrasco, etc. from the pen, would be slim at best. I've been incredibly frustrated as of late, and have said things from the heart and not from the mind which have been untrue. But having a clear head now, these are my true feelings on the future of this team there is no excuse for not winning a game in a WEEK with a 2 n half game lead, ozzie needs to be held responable for most of the blame, the call on comez and then the span foul ball he needed to go out there and get thrown out TRY to fire this team up,if not go off after the game and call them out but no just sit back ozzie, that what pisses me off and the fact iam going to lose 100.00,but i will agree this team need more SPEED and a #1 starter BAD!!!!
  18. I want vazquez, and OC gone TONIGHT,i want thome, griffey, uribe, macdougle,DJ carrasco, wasserman, and i think Kenny needs to go out and get a TRUE #1 starter like CC(but yankees wont let that happen) if we had a good #1 we wouldnt have slumps like this, just look what johan did for the mets(3 days rest and then a complete game) and MORE AND MORE SPEED!!!!!!
  19. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 01:56 PM) I got tickets for Saturday. I hope it dosen't suck. if we lose tonight there will be ALOT of tickets for sale!!!!
  20. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:35 AM) my guess is that Cleveland feels the same way about playing us. I'm sure that Cliff Lee does. our problem is we don't have the pitching to navigate the rest of the way. just think if we need the game vazquez has to pitch OH BOY
