QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 10:18 PM) My friends and I are going to St. Louis to see the Cardinals play and to drink the second weekend of July. We're staying at the Hilton right by the ballpark. If anyone had any tidbits or advice I would really appreciate it! Hate to break it to you, but the Cardinals are in Milwaukee that weekend.

what does "% of maximum" mean? -
RIP Tony. Pretty amazing stats. Also helped keep the Cubs out of the World Series in 1984.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 03:29 PM) Essentially. LOL, it was your argument, Snoopy.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 12:25 PM) And if you've come to that conclusion based on his age and minor league numbers, then fine, that's an actual argument to be made. Is that the guy you said never played in the majors? According to Baseball Reference, he has.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 12, 2014 -> 02:56 PM) Knew it was Welch, for whatever reason thought it was 88 or 89. The last one before him was Steve Stone in 1980.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 12, 2014 -> 02:47 PM) Exactly; Strong ERA, great K numbers, etc. Add in 25 wins, which we all know isn't fully controlled by a pitcher, but it still is a strong statement. Plus hasn't it been since the late 80's since someone won that many? 1990, Bob Welch.

A tent like this will come in really handy to keep you out of the sun and/or the rain at your campsite. Obviously stay hydrated and if you partake in substances, pace yourself, its a long weekend. Bring earplugs, toilet paper, and some kind of footwear that you will be ok with getting rid of afterward. If you are taking food, take a good cooler, although there is enough vending that you can get away with not bringing any food and you will be fine as long as you have cash.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 04:50 PM) And then he said the bat slipped after the game. Man up. Just say you were frustrated, and acted like an idiot. What happened? I saw the play at 3rd but nothing with a bat.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 05:15 PM) Any recommendations for a good, decently priced tent that will hold up well in thunderstorm conditions? 2- or 3-person tent. Preferable no more than $200-250. I'm not sure I'll find what I'm looking for at that price, but might as well ask some of you experienced folks. I'll be camping at Bonnaroo Music Festival from Thursday-Monday, and the chance of thunderstorms is fairly high. Like 50% on Sat/Sun. The tent that I have is great in good weather, but not so much in rain. Any suggestions are welcome. I've been to Bonnaroo 4 times and it rained every time. You could definitely go cheaper than this, but REI brand stuff is usually good quality for the price. http://www.rei.com/product/777757/?cm_mmc=...532232240"" target="_blank">REI Camp Dome 4 Tent

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 06:23 PM) Anyone use handle bars for push ups? My wrist has been aching, not because of THAT...mostly, and wondering if they help. If pushups hurt your wrists, they might help. I made some out of PVC pipe.

QUOTE (TRU @ May 27, 2014 -> 12:16 PM) Welp, another two games Sunday and another 4 total at bats. We lost the first game 10-0, got called after the 5th. Lost the second game 14-4 also called after the 5th. I was a very disappointing 1-4 with a flyout at the fence and then 2 ground outs. On a side note, do any of you guys wear pants? I for some reason made the dumb decision to slide into third on our concrete like dirt and have that nasty road rash looking wound on my leg now. Its going to be too hot here soon to wear pants, I was thinking of some under armour compression legging things. That should at least minimize the damage from sliding. A couple of years ago I played on a mens team that my coed team could have beaten. We would do the same thing, like score 3 runs in a doubleheader. It sucked. -
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 24, 2014 -> 02:01 PM) Anyone know if I can get a full replay of this game online? mlb.tv

QUOTE (raBBit @ May 23, 2014 -> 12:21 PM) I agree. I would love for Semien to get some reps in LF. As Sox fans, we have always chose to go for the high on his estimations as a prospect but there were a lot of publications and writers in the camp that Semien would be a very valuable super sub type. Hypothetically, if on opening day 2015 we have a 3B-2B-LF combination of Gillaspie-Johnson-Eaton, could anyone say there wouldn't be a spot for Semien to play at least 2-3 times a week? Looking forward in this season, if the team is completely out of it in August/September and the Sox want to get their young guys reps there isn't going to be a lot of flexibility in the infield. 2B is going to have a logjam of guys vying for a spot, 3B will have Gillaspie/Davidson and LF will be wide open with placeholders ADA/Sierra holding it down. The LF situation really sticks out to me. Last year the Sox traded Rios, in part, to give Garcia his chance and they benched a struggling Gillaspie to give Semien a look. This year we'll have Semien, Johnson and Davidson all looking to play and the only spot wide open is LF. Someone has to be given a shot there and I just think Semien makes a lot of sense. Who is in CF in this scenario?

QUOTE (bmags @ May 21, 2014 -> 03:34 PM) Did these sell out? I can't find these anywhere. I feel a lot less stupid that I didn't know about the Kzone until 2 weeks ago when someone said they were all over the site. Go to the Sox site, tickets, click on tomorrows game and use the map to select those sections. There's plenty of tickets. -
