  1. Good. The longer they keep him out, the better. He was awful with the Dodgers last year.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 12:58 PM) I thought that they had determined it the greatest upset of all time based on the teams records. I could have sworn thats what i heard this morning Yep. Playoffs and Regular Season. Greatest upset, statistically in NBA History. And this game definitely meant something to both teams. Lakers are trying to have the worst record so they get to keep their pick.(It's only top 3 protected or it goes to Philly), and the Warriors are now only 3 games up on the Spurs and they have to play the Spurs 3 more times.
  3. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 06:52 PM) Well, we all know that Thibs would of gotten grilled on this. Now it's time to grill Hoiberg and the FO for letting this happen to Butler. Absolutely ridiculous. Dr Cole said there is no structural damage. Which means, bet the house that his season is over. This is the same team that diagnosed Luol Deng with a sore leg and basically said it was up to him to play, when he actually had a broken leg.
  4. It is the biggest upset in NBA history at least. Someone from Vegas posted that if you parlayed Tate, Diaz and the Lakers with $100, you would've won $32000
  5. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 10:14 AM) I used to be when 1) I lived in Chicago and could go to games and 2) The Fire were actually good, but neither of those things have been the case for quite a while now. Yep. I do watch the Galaxy and I do feel the overall league is in a better place, but Chicago has sucked hard for awhile now.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 02:56 PM) And Ronda didn't get a rematch right away. I bet Holly is the next challenger after Meisha-Ronda. I'm not even arguing that id rather see something else besides Tate-Rousey cause I would but she absolutely deserves the next title shot. Rhonda didn't get a shot right away because she declined it. Dana was trying to get her back for this PPV, but she flat out told him after she came back from Australia, it won't happen until October at the earliest. Now, she doesn't even have a schedule for her filming of either movie, so they're talking about her being at UFC 200 to fight Meisha.
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 01:20 PM) Source on the scores? Round 2 should have been 10-8 for for Tate. She could have been given 3 and would have definitely won 5. I would have had Tate winning had it gone to the judges. Draw at worst.. Edit: Just saw the official scores. All three had it a 10-8 in round 2. Would have been a draw had Tate not finished. Even with the 10-8 round 2(which Tate really didn't do anything after the takedown), all judges had Holm winning the other 3 rounds 10-9. Total score after 4 rounds was 38-37 and Holm was winning round 5 as Tate had 3 failed attempts at getting her down to the ground. Even Tate said she knew she was losing the fight and had to go after her aggressively.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 10:49 AM) She was also an undefeated champion before she lost, she absolutely deserves a title shot. So was Holm. And Holm dominated Rhonda. It wasn't a close fight. Holm also did a lot better against Tate than Rousey did against Holm. Flat out, if Holm isn't getting a rematch(again, she was winning that fight big), then it should be Holm vs Rousey to see who the #1 contender was.
  9. QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 09:24 AM) So Rousey gets destroyed and gets a title shot but Holm who on all accounts that I saw was winning the fight before getting caught can't get a rematch? Pretty much goes to show you how big of a joke women's MMA is. My point exactly. Holm was winning the fight 3-1 and was on her way to winning completely before Meisha was able to grapple her. I'd be more interested in Holm vs Tate II than Rousey vs Tate 24324
  10. Wow, Rhonda is as much as a coward and loser as I thought she was. Dana White just said it's going to be Tate vs Rousey for the title (said whoever won tonight's fight was going to fight Rhonda for the title. I don't know how he thinks that should be the case, but whatever) and he told Rhonda what happened since she didn't watch the fight (reports are that her managers also said she refuses to answer any questions about tonight's fight). Once she heard Miesha won, she said she better get back to work. This girl sees Miesha Tate as a meal ticket since she's beaten her twice before, but was scared s***less of Holm to the point to where she didn't want to fight until October at the earliest. So mentally fragile.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 5, 2016 -> 04:54 PM) Lovie the football coach would be a great hire. But how well could he recruit? That would be my concern, not that Illinois kills it on the recruiting trail now. I think he'd do good. Players loved playing for him. s***, bring Urlacher as Linebackers coach just to get a pipeline going. This would be a hell of a hire though and way out of left field.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 4, 2016 -> 01:36 PM) jon greenberg ‏@jon_greenberg 27m27 minutes ago Niko is running around, taking shots after practice. Gar Forman sitting next to Tim Hallam. "What's the press saying about me? Good stuff?" Gar is a fkn idiot. My gawd. I wish I could knock that smug son of a b out. Either which way, you guys haven't seen complaining to the refs until you watch the Clippers. Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and Doc Rivers are the biggest offenders of that.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 10:48 PM) Rockets You can throw the Bucks in there as well. Then the Bulls. Heavily heavily disagree.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 12:23 PM) Nick Friedell added, Again, Bulls front office believes this is a major reason why free agents will want to sign in Chicago. Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine The NBA's three longest active playoff streaks: San Antonio at 18 seasons in a row, Atlanta at eight in a row and Chicago at seven in a row And do they not realize Atlanta can't attract anyone, including Dwight?
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 28, 2016 -> 08:16 AM) I'd like to be in the picture, dammit! Photoshop bro.
  16. QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 24, 2016 -> 09:15 PM) I can only speak for myself, but I would have never expected that sort of response from him, or anyone else for that matter. However, he asked advice on the age gap, and if it's too weird for a 25 year old to see an 18 year old. With more details, many of us brought up concerns and what could go wrong. What else was supposed to be said? I agree with you, but I sympathize with him as I've been in that situation before. I was 21 dating a 17 year old. It's a world of difference, even without the issues. Add them in there, and the odds aren't with you. Like iamshack stated though - people usually ask for advice, but really just want someone to justify the option they want to pick and not the one they need to pick.
  17. I'd stay away from that girl to be honest. I had a lady I was interested at the time. She shared a similar story. Dad was abusive to mom. Mom actually cheated on husband eventually, and they got divorced. Dad was really tough on the lady. He also was a police officer. As much as she stated and as much as I wanted to believe she was mature, she really wasn't. I won't go into too much detail, but I'll just say this - it was a recipe for disaster. In the end, she admitted she wasn't mature enough for a relationship and her life wasn't as together as she thought it was. She suffered from many problems and took me along for the ride. Best of luck though. I like to see people win. Just know in this case, the chances aren't with you.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 20, 2016 -> 10:51 AM) They can't lose anymore than 1 more game the rest of their trip, imo, to have a shot. And it's going to be tough. They've got the Clippers, who have been killin' it without Blake, tonight. Then they've got the Hawks, Heat, Magic and Thunder. Those teams aren't that great IMO. It's the schedule that will kill them if anything, not necessarily the teams. The Thunder got beat by the Pacers i believe last night. Heat are hobbled at this point. Magic are a tough young team. Hawks are going through the motions it seems.
  19. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 10:32 PM) And you like the front office? Heck of a trade today huh? Had they made the Gasol deal, at least they would have made SAC better, therefore making it more likely they get Kings' first round pick. Honestly Ozz, I agree with you. I don't know if more people here simply are not concentrated on the Bulls and it's just a novelty like "Oh, the Bulls are good, let's check out a game. Ah, the Bulls are bad. Well who cares. BEARS!!" around here. Anyone who's paid attention knows GarPax needs to be fired. Even the local media has turned on them.
  20. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 10:26 PM) It's not like Groce was a good coach before. He needs to go. Simply delaying the inevitable. The Illinois Wayne hang out to coaches for far too long. I agree. You can't let him coach past this year.
  21. QUOTE (gatnom @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 01:55 PM) They haven't in awhile and probably never will. This has been obvious since Thomas was fired in November with no actual plan in place. And, truth be told, the signs have been there for a long time if you really wanted to see them. At some point they will hire a coach who wins a few games, though. This.
  22. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 12:07 AM) He's a FA also. Broncos already said they're going to franchise him.
  23. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 7, 2016 -> 11:12 PM) The gif of the night. Eli looks like a man who just lost a ton of cash on the game. And Carolina didn't respect Denver's D as much as they should've. They kept dropping Cam back after seeing him get killed over and over again. When a defense is that aggressive and is always in your backfield, then you need to run bunch formations, end arounds, play action and most importantly, option plays and misdirections. The Panthers did very little of that. When they did do it, they almost always hit the open gaps.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 7, 2016 -> 07:14 PM) Yet it is Jimmy Butler, Nikola Mirotic, and Dunleavy that are also out. MDJ has been a known injury prone player. Jimmy Butler isn't playing any less than he did last year. And I'm sure his usage is higher. Mirotic is such a non factor, I wouldn't care if he was playing.
  25. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 7, 2016 -> 02:54 PM) There is no point in watching the Bulls until you get some of their starters back in the line up. With all of the injuries, this team is devoid of talent at pretty much every spot on the floor. The thing is, this team has been an assembled squad of injury prone players. And we knew that before. Hell, I've gone on record as saying it for years when Derrick first got injured. Noah's been injury prone. Taj has been. Deng has been. Kirk definitely had been. They wanted to place the blame on Thibs for running guys into the ground, but the reality is, they assembled a team full of brittle players, didn't let Thibs hire his own health team when he became coach, and proceeded to watch guys get injured at key times and blamed it on him.
