  1. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) You might want to check out Craig's list. Some of the asking prices are not as outrageous. By the way, most sellers will not split a pair of tickets. If anyone here is thinking about going through a broker and needs another buyer, PM me, http://chicago.craigslist.org/cgi-bin/sear...=min&maxAsk=max It's disgusting to see guys sell upper deck tickets(528) for $300 each. That's beyond scalping. It's also sad to see Cub fans getting their hands on tickets and literally saying, "I'm going to make you bend over backwards to get them."
  2. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) Original or replica? I remember the gold logo. I was never tempted to buy an authentic jersey because of the outrageous prices... I just have a Jordan replica. Road red Champion from '96 which will probably always be my favorite pro basketball uniform. Authentic baby. I got it for my 12th birthday and I appreciated it very much. I want to get a Scottie Pippen one as well, but I can't find any authentics of that.
  3. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) I still don'tknow what to think of LaMar. That he was a f***ing horrible GM who tried to swindle everyone.
  4. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) I've never really understood the McCarver bashing. He says some really obvious things, but not everyone who watches the playoffs is a die-hard baseball fan. So, it's kind of nice to have the announcer explain things. Boone added nothing to the booth. Bret, when all else fails, cry. I agree. McCarver catches alot of s*** around here for doing his job properly which is basically play simpleton for the casual fans out there.
  5. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:19 AM) Do the Sox know something we don't? lol Well it's pretty obvious that whoever runs whitesox.com is Nastradamous.
  6. QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) how the f*** did you do that?? i went best available at NOON and ended up w/ sec 524 row 20 i mean yeah i'm hellaz happy i got tickets but HOW THE HECK??? you're magical. I'm wondering the same thing as well.
  7. Hey, we don't only have C-List celebrities as fans. I'm most definately a class D.
  8. QUOTE(Balance @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:14 AM) I got shut out for game 1. I asked for 4 tickets. Maybe that was a mistake. I don't see myself getting more luck with any subsequent attempts. I asked for 4 for Game 1 and got them. Not the greatest seats, but shiiiit. It's good enough for my buddies.
  9. I got 538/48? right away. If it wasn't for me, my buddies would've been waiting 15 minutes. Instead the saviour came through and got in while only waiting 3 minutes.
  10. Well I have to say I'm the quickest mouseclicker this side of the Mississippi. I was one of the first to get in. The longest wait time given for me was 3 minutes and it bounced between that and "less than 1 minute". Best I was able to do was section 548.
  11. George Lopez. Adewale Ogunleye said he's a White Sox fan on Bears Blitz.
  12. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) BTW, Mick Foley (Mankind) is from Long Island. He's a Yankees fan. Just because he's from New York doesn't mean he's a NY fan. I've heard from seveal places including that article that he's a White Sox fan.
  13. I don't know, but I don't like how everyone thinks this game is a lock for Freddy and the Sox. I have more confidence in Freddy, but the most dangerous opponent is one that is down and seems to be out.
  14. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 08:40 AM) Why would this bother you? He may have interned in chicago, but he is from New York. If you moved to New York for an internship, would you expect to change allegiances? Yeah, I kind of figured he was from New York because he never wants to give Chicago teams their dap. Like when he said he would drop the 96 Bulls down to the 3rd or 4th best team ever behind the 83 Sixers(which I agree was a good team, but they didn't win enough).
  15. Vince Vaughn!!!!! At least he went to a game. I heard about Jessica Simpson too, but I'm not sure still. How did anyone forget Lisa Dergan?
  16. Hopefully his son grows up sane and rips on scientology. Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are 2 of the weirdest people ever.
  17. QUOTE(juddling @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) Checking out some of the Red Sox boards and chat as of late, they are mostly talking about a comback like last year vs. the Yank-me's. Dear Red Sox Nation....i give you four reasons why that will not happen: 1. No Pedro 2. No Lowe (single-handedly saved their asses last year) 3. No Foulke 4. Schilling isn't CLOSE to what he was last year Am i saying The Pale Hose are gonna sweep...no...baseball is a crazy game and yes...until they lose the third game..they have a chance..but the four big keys that got you the championship last year aren't around. GO WHITE SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree. It's not impossible(as they've proven before), but it's going to be tougher than any other time they did it because of those factors.
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:41 AM) So i guess you didn't like Pete Rose? You know there is a way to show your edge without showing up the other team....I just have never seen the intensity from FG and am anxiously awaiting to see it! Did you see Ozzie jump off the bench after gooch went yard? what should he have done? sat there and act stoic? this is a game of emotion and having fun. dont be a statue on the mound. roger clemens & nolan ryan both had that obvious edge that i am talking about. of course i will take a win anyway possible and respect your opinion alot.... ...and Roger Clemens has been just a tad bit better than average in the playoffs. He honestly doesn't do that good(as opposed to the regular season career wise) in the playoffs.
  19. QUOTE(SoxRock192 @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) What the heck the Rally Crede did It helped me get the bills payed.
  20. Maybe he was just experimenting during the regular season. I ripped him for managerial decisions alot during the season. It's nice to see he's making me eat crow and showing that he's not only a master motivator, but a competent manager.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:41 AM) Jerry Springer is a Yankee fan. In that case, screw that bum.
  22. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) Was MJ there rooting for our Sox? Francona was his AA manager... He sure was. In yesterday's paper he even said no doubt he's rooting for the White Sox. I think the piece also said that he has been a regular in Reinsdorf's suite. Pippen is also a White Sox fan as well as Mushin Muhammed. Eric Daze of the Blackhawks is a Sox fan too IIRC. How could anyone forget Jerry Springer??
  23. I probably turned over to my other pillow and continued to snore and drool.
