Realignment
Good thing you're not GM. Commissioner rather. It's fine the way it is.

Buehrle gets tweaked by Cub `cheater'
As the saying goes, "If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying!" Anyway, it's all in good hearted nature. It's gamesmenship. I also think MB made the comment about Zambrano because he wanted to show that there are other guys who have experience besides Maddux. Eh well.

Vince Vaughn at yesterdays game
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) I really don't understand some Sox fans sometimes. They b**** that not enough people come to the park, then they b**** because certain types of people are at the park. They b**** that the people from neighborhood don't support the team, then they b**** about possible plans to change the make up of the neighborhood. I think some Sox fans would rarther live forever in 2nd or 3rd place as long as the 'right' 15,000 people are in the seats. Seriously. Stop being picky. They're helping filling up the ballpark. They're okay. Only one fan I can't stand and that's Cub fans who come to the game wearing Cubs gear and the Cubs aren't even playing them. Even them, I'll let in the park though if they're paying. What's different between the White Sox showing other fans on the scoreboard and celebrities? I don't see why the White Sox should try their hardest to keep them off the scoreboard. I actually think it's pretty nice to see a celeb at the game as it is to see them anywhere else.

Which Pitcher would you trade MB for
As a PR guy, I wouldn't trade Buehrle now. He's so damn good for the White Sox pissing off the Cubs. I f'n love it.

Jim Rome
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) Wait wait wait. Did Rome say that Buehrle was alluding to Maddux or just "someone" on the Cubs? Because if they jumped to the conclusion that it was Maddux, that makes me wonder if they already knew that he does that. Yeah, so far all media outlets just assume he's talking about Maddux. So I'm guessing they suspect the same thing.

Does Konerko not like Uribe or something?
Hopefully PK doesn't become a GM. He would absolutely ruin a team.

Which Pitcher would you trade MB for
I'd trade him for Johann, Peavy, Oswalt, Halladay currently. Prior when healthy. That's about it. BMac is a whole different story. Oh, I almost forgot Mike Maroth and Kerry Wood

Torii Hunter's father is a crackaddict
QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 06:42 AM) Wow, that was sad. Guess you never know a person until you've seen what they have had to go through. You can only hope that he can reconcile with his father, & that his father can get clean. My sentiments exactly. I only hate him because he's a Twin. I feel sorry for him and his dad.

Jim Rome
I caught it. He said, he's being hypocritical because there's probably someone on the White Sox starting to cheat. Some guy in the forum segment also said, this would be turning point and that the White Sox always self-implode and they are starting to do so now. oh yeah, looks like we'll lose 10 of our next 11 because Buehrle called someone out It's funny also because Rome asked Chad Cordero, is it safe to assume that every team has one guy that does it and Chad kept saying no and that there's probably only a few guys in the league who are doing it. He also said he knows of no one that's doing it. Rome is an f'n idiot. So are his panelists.

Does Konerko not like Uribe or something?
When things like this are said, it makes me glad that the real leaders are Mark Buehrle and Carl Everett

Here's What's Great About This Year
QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) That 2003 team, if it had won the AL Central, would have rolled over the Yankees and the Red Sox. It would have gone to the World Series, where it would lose embarassingly bad to Florida. Instead, they lost embarassingly bad to the AL equivalent of the Marlins. I agree. Even Cashman said that the only team he was scared of that year was the White Sox. It was an incredible team on paper and looked like it had no holes. I think if we had Ozzie that year, no doubt we make it. That's when we lost it all in 1 Twins series.

Best 2B in the league...
and tell me why. Lot's of people say Alfonso Soriano. I'll hold back my arguments, but back up yours with some meaningful stats(don't give me stuff like VORP or some weird ass stat that someone invested yesterday. Give me OBP, AVG, Defensive stats, etc.)

Giants @ Twinkies Game 3 Rubber Match
QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) I dont want to use injuries as an excuse, but man the Twins have been beat up this year. All of our middle infielders are hurt. The Twins put Abernathy on the DL and activated Luis Rivas, who was to be going on a rehab assingment after the game tonight. Castro goes down tonight. But its not the 4th of July yet. Still a lot of baseball to be played. Just as long as the Twins are 4-5 games back by the end of July, things will be good Normally I would agree with you, but last year the Sox were without Frank and Maggs for a huge part of the season, so no go.

technical geeks out there
Depends on where you are trying to download from. If it's like a music video not from Launch, I could get that. There's also programs to download streams.

Sharkport
If I could buy this at a regular store, I would.

Phil wants Scottie as an assistant
He'll do it. He's gone on record saying that he wants to be a head coach or an assistant for Phil if he becomes a coach at all. Here's his chance. Unless someone offers him a GM job, he's not turning it down.
-
Brown to return to Illini
Haha, that's funny. He needs to get better recruiters here though if he can't do it on his own.

Giants @ Twinkies Game 3 Rubber Match
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) Seriously Nathan, Crain, Rincon, and Romero are working 6 inning games over there. It's incredible annnoying listen to these announcers after playing MVP. The only thing I can think of is...GRAB SOME PINE...MEAT Hey, I just noticed your sig. Anyway you could get PK's OBP with RISP??

Vote smart - IT MATTERS THIS YEAR
That's actually a smart idea. I'll probably do that.

Trades That Never Happened
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) If this is true were stupid :banghead That's because he didn't know if he wanted to play baseball or hockey I think it was. So we drafted him and he didn't want to sign and he didn't play a year at all because he didn't know what he wanted to decide yet until the following year when he put his name back in the draft. It's not like the White Sox dropped the ball on him, he simply didn't have a clear cut decision of what he wanted to do when we drafted him.

Sorry fantasy GM's, Sox not ready to deal
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) I personally wouldn't and I know I'm going to get torn to shreads for that but I guess I just like the way this offense is built and I know their stats aren't good but they've come up with every big hit possible. The thing that says it for me is that the Twins have a better team era and there are a ton of people who absolutely love their offense yet the sox are 5 games up on them. Anyways, it's just a difference of opinion I could see how you would like this year's offense over last year. Perfect scenario would be a combo of the two. Well actually, I would probably keep Pods, Iguchi, AJ and maybe Dye.

Trades That Never Happened
Wasn't this for 2000, or 2001?(Gagne for Howry)

Mark Buehrle is an
Lock him up to a 15 year deal dangit.

Sorry fantasy GM's, Sox not ready to deal
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 03:57 PM) Haha, Willie Harris in right field now that would be something to see. Anyways while good on paper that offense would have done the same crap our offense in years past did imo. I don't know. I-Rod and Nomar are pretty good balanced hitters as in they hit both for average and power. Same with Frank(at least OBP wise) and Rowand. PK would've had his PK year. I truly don't know, but I would've watched, that's for sure.
