  1. Who voted 00? Sirotka who was our ace at best would've made a decent 3/awesome 4.
  2. Anyone know where a Ricobene's is in downtown? Preferably close to the Rock Island Lasalle stop.
  3. Holmes from when I met her isn't a whack job. She's just a sad dope right now because of Tom Cruise. The guy has her talking retarded.
  4. A small pack of Combo's and Lemonade flavored Propel.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) f*** the Cubs. I wouldn't and haven't given them a dime. Same with me. I've been to two games there. It's nothing special at all unless you enjoy a ballpark with horrible odors and concrete falling. Just wear your Red Sox gear and you should be fine. Don't wear any White Sox stuff unless you want to start someone. I wouldn't doubt there being lots of Red Sox fans there so you shouldn't be afraid.
  6. ...for minor leaguers RHP Mike Bumstead and RHP R.D. Spiehs. Anyone got a scouting report for those guys?
  7. QUOTE(SHAFTR @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) I agree. Plus interleague is a terrible idea that has worn out it's novelty. I don't get this. What's wrong with Interleague that wore out the novelty??? People complain about it so much, but I honestly don't see the problem with Interleague. It's just the same as facing your league. You have some crappy teams, some really good teams and some decent teams that you enjoy watching the matchups. In fact it's even better because you see matchups that you probably won't see in the WS. Example being Rockies vs White Sox or Dodgers vs White Sox.
  8. Blahahahahahahahahaahhahaahahhah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. They've been playing the Brewers while we've played the Cubs. They need to stop complaining.
  10. Yeah, she lost her curves and the red hair which she had going for her. And the thing is, she said she still thinks she's overweight.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) The best part was Mariotti's reply...that JR will be hearing from his lawyer. Man...a guy really has to piss me off to leave me cheering for JR. Yeah, once JR takes him to court. He even said Mariotti probably doesn't like him because of when he first came to Chicago, he wrote some false columns and JR took him to the cleaners for that.
  12. Look sox-r-us, all of us would love to have A-Rod, but a trade for him is unrealistic unless we are giving up half our team. I don't know if JR would take on that much money. Our team would have to be sinking for the Sox to make a move like this.
  13. Willie Mo isn't on the trading block. I heard it from my buddy who lives in Cincy. They put Austin Kearns on the trading block. They like Willie too much and think he could be a franchise type player for them. Only reason Austin is getting some PT is because the Reds are trying to showcase him.
  14. Marte needs to stop being a puss. He's my favorite reliever on the staff because of his stuff and how beforehand he was willing to throw his best stuff to hitters and dare them to try to touch it. Now he doesn't follow through on pitches, misses the strike zone big time, walks guys in 4 pitches. He isn't dominating like he was. What the hell happened?
  15. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Skiles has had 1 good year lets see what he can do now. Yeah, let's see his skills long term.
  16. A mistake that thankfully didn't get taken over the wall. Just get through this inning or another El Duque. As long as I don't have to see Viz or Shingo.
  17. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 08:37 PM) Twins are leading the D-backs 2-0 top second And probably win while we lose this one. We never go for sweeps.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 12:41 PM) I think based on my readings this morning that he actually got a better deal from JR yesterday... From what I could tell, the Bulls were offering a 3 year contract with a team option on a 4th, and Skiles yesterday got the team to agree to make it a 4 year guaranteed deal. Either way...I'm glad we're keeping a coach now that we've found one who at least knew how to win a few games. Same deal. He gets 2.75 million next year when he wanted more than 4 million for 4 straight years starting next year. What the Bulls are doing is picking up his option and then giving him 13.25 for the 3 years following that with a 2 million buyout. I heard somewhere that if he gets fired early, he ends up making more dough(already had chem class, so I'm done with numbers for the day). He basically caved in after North made him feel like a jag which is what the whole organization and most Bulls fans were feeling. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 12:43 PM) Well, yeah winning in FG percentage is nice, but you also have to control rebounds and turnovers to keep the points lowest. I consider those topics linked. If you create a lot of turnovers, you give up less shots, and therefore give up less points. If you own the defensive boards (hi Tyson!), you give up less second shot opportunities, and therefore give up less points. If you don't do those 2 things, then even if you hold FG percentage in check, you still can give up enough points to hurt yourself. Problem is turnovers and the fact that Skiles won't run an offense suitable to his personel's skills. He shouldn't be running pick and rolls with guys(the pickers in this case) who can't hit the jumpshot. The triangle would actually be better suited for this team because it centers around Eddy Curry and opens up guys like Hinrich and Gordon and allows Deng to be the creator(1st option would be Curry, then Deng, which is better because he has a better overall game than Gordon, and then Gordon and Kirk follow that).
  19. Joe Crede...2nd Baseman of the future....or just a couple of days Wouldn't suprise me if Crede was put at 2nd, just cause.
  20. I say the Sox will call up Greg Norton and Herbert Perry for today's crappy lineup of the series. Sad thing is those two wouldn't be the worst players on the team.
  21. I'm listening to the interview and Skiles is backtracking alot in this interview. More than I initially thought. North just was doing his job by asking the tough questions.
  22. Damnit, I had a huge post about this but it didn't go through. If any thinks about getting SBC YAHOO DSL, don't do it because it's s***ty. Basically Skiles backtracked on that interview from what him and his agent were saying.
  23. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 07:21 PM) Really? Glass; "I am not talking anymore. Scott has a contract. If they pick up his option, he will honor that" (goes against what Kashul reported on CLTV). This is NOT just about the money." Yes, he said it today on the Score on Mike North's show and went on about how unfaitful and loyal the Bulls were and talked about how it was going on since February.
