I'd take Manny for 5.5 million and give him incentives. I think he would rebound very nicely next year.

I read about it. It says One GM thinks it would be that much for a starting point. He's probably going to get more. With that said, my favorite part was: From Kenny. This is the absolute right attitude. I don't think any sports team should settle for being middle of the pack. It's the worse thing to do.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 13, 2010 -> 05:24 PM) You think KW didn't try? This time around, I don't think he did. He easily could've topped that.

Who is going to be our best starter next season?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 11, 2010 -> 02:52 PM) Am I the only one that feels Danks has hit his ceiling? Not saying that's a bad thing. But it seems for the last couple years he was expected to have that 'dominant' season which vaults him into the elite. He's been roughly the same pitcher for the last three years. I feel the same with him and Gavin. I'm picking Edwin as the best starter this year. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 13, 2010 -> 04:39 PM) http://www.csnchicago.com/11/13/10/BBQ-Bec...amp;feedID=6662 I love this guy. Every article so far that I've read, has been excellent.

Maybin has been traded to the Padres I think KW should've tried. Either way, that deal was the best possible deal they could've got for Cabrera at the time. It didn't work out, but sometimes it happens.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 13, 2010 -> 02:32 PM) That's not quite accurate this week. We punted, and we held them, it worked, and it wouldn't have sealed the game with a 1st down anyway. We got the ball back anyway at basically the same spot and didn't do s*** with it. Defense blew. This. -
Works for me.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 09:31 AM) It takes time to run the ball effectively. Bears had some nice carries on the day and things worked out well, imo. Might not have been the best rushing attack ever, but you know what, It kept the opposition honest and Cutler was hit a hell of a lot less this week. If the Bears can consistently work on running the ball things should continue to get better, imo. Disagreed. There were tons of times where Cutler still had to throw off the back foot. Not, he did it because he wanted to, but literally had to throw off the back foot. 66 yards and I believe 31 carries is awful. It's not the RB's, it's the O-Line. -

I actually like it. -
Didn't know you could trade a player's rights within the 5 day window so his option could be declined.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 08:39 AM) Anyone else have NBA 2k11? I've only played a handful of games, but I still have ZERO feel for the controls. They're not very intuitive. I can't seem to do simple dribbling moves, like a crossover. Should I be using some combination with the stick and L2? Anyone have any tips? Yes, if you hit L2 twice, you're guy will do a stutter step and drive. If you hold L2 and move the left stick left and right they'll start crossing over. If you hold L2, move around the left stick, then hit your defender with Triangle, you'll almost always free up your guy for a good shot.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 08:39 AM) They literally cannot add much salary if any at all for next year. They already have 100+ million committed to their roster. They definitely won't get either one. At most they'll get back Kerry Wood. As I said before, Ricketts is not going to pour all his resources into the team. The days of spending are over for that ballclub. That's why they should fire Jim Hendry who has no idea on how to build with the draft or making deals.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 09:12 AM) I can tell you with 100% certainty that I have never, in the hundreds of games I have been to in my lifetime, bought a ticket because of who the manager was. Never. I'd love to hear from anyone else who has, but I have never heard anyone say that "Hey I want to get up and see the Twins and Sox so that I can see that Ron Gardenhire in action!" I would've bought a ticket if Joe Torre was our manager. -

I prefer Cyber Monday. Last year, I went Black Friday shopping and though I was able to get whatever I wanted, it still wasn't worth it. 4 hour line to pay. 1 hour line to get Starbucks.

Will Konerko be in a White Sox uniform come 2011?

Wish he wouldn't be, but he will. He'll be the cheapest big FA we could sign. -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 27, 2010 -> 08:18 AM) Exactly Balta. If you don't wanna like him because you don't think he deserves the praise, thats fine by me. But I don't know how you can call him a phony? It's pretty obvious he has a serious substance abuse problem, which is a 24-7 battle, where he can relapse at any time, no matter how clean he is now. Thats what happened in those pics, he admitted to it, and got back to trying to stay clean. Does he admit to it though if the pictures don't leak?

QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 02:34 AM) Undertakers too old anyways now for that.. Also, the best Undertaker look was mid to late 90's Undertaker when he still had the purple gloves and boots, was pale, and had his hair more wet and hung over his face.. No way. It was when he had the Ministry of Darkness. Second place is Undertaker when he first came out. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 12:03 AM) Horrible new for Illini fans, Nnanna Egwu is getting rid of the Horace Grant goggles and will be wearing contacts instead. Love that he goes to my alma mater, but he doesn't impress me all that much every single time I've seen him player. -
Yeah, Uribe was maddening with us. Like him, but he drove people nuts.
