everyone on this board has a violent aversion to joe borchard. but we arent manufacturing runs anymore since podsednik is running like konerko and all of out wins are coming off big homers. borchard will at least give you some home runs....

AJ is always amped. Hes clapping, yelling, swearing. Hes the only guy that I havent thrown an irrational fit at for blowing it in a big time situation thus far. He is our sparkplug.

i feel like i have to be on crack to say this but i would use contreras and mccarthy 1-2 if we were to make the playoffs and there isnt some consistent improvement out of buerhle or garland. neither pitcher seems capable of handling juggernaut offenses like boston or NY...perhaps our chances would be better with relative unknowns (mccarthy) and our "best-stuff" guy (contreras). i canjava script:emoticon(':huh:') smiliet believe im saying this.

my dad flew down to texas to watch the doubleheader yesterday and sent me this email last night. i thought it was pretty cool. Having a drink at the hotel with ozzie, garcia, frank, uribe marte etc. Pretty cool. I talked to a couple of players wives. Actually quite nice and ready for a ring. Ozzie was quite talkative and so was jenks. Jenks is a big guy. Garcia is much bigger than I expected. It was nice frank was here and yakking it up with ozzie and rowand. I have to admit there was a player next to ozzie that I couldn't recognize at all. Blum was there but after 2 errors I passed on the autograph.

ok, this is for lowecaserepublican and has nothing to do with baseball. just saw the sig and thought i should announce my corresponding love of Hunter. I actually went to his house once a couple years back and hung out with his maid. MY dad and his girlfriend were good friends with him and are attending his big ceremony in aspen this weekend in which they will shoot his ashes out of a cannon shaped like the gonzo fist. id kill to get one of those tickets but there are only a couple hundred and im not anywhere close to being on the list. ill make my dad take some pictures though and try to post them somewhere.
