It’s funny I think that’s his worst start so far. Not sure, repeating DSL not great.

I do wonder if you just didn’t swing the bat like that dodgers catcher in spring training how many walks you’d get in A ball

I'm not that perturbed at the whether they go over or not. The cost for HS talent may be increasing, not sure what the breakdown was this year. The depth of this class was college position players, and I don't think they chose Gonzalez from a budget perspective. There was a ton of top 100 high school talent that didn't sign, maybe they had their eye on one and it didn't work out. Nonetheless, we've seen that even going over can come with lots of budget cuts on individual picks. I like that this is a pretty well-rounded class.

Hackenbergs offense has survived Birmingham pleasantly.

Comas is up in Kanny now I hadn’t realized. No runs given up in 2.1 IP.

the biggest bummer to me in the ACL specifically has been Erick Hernandez continue to struggle.

Updated MLB Farm System Rankings After 2023 MLB Draft
bmags replied to The Kids Can Play's topic in Pale Hose Talk
And what we are saying is we care about baseball America putting the Sox 26th because they get live looks on players and get good information, and don’t care about bleacher report even if it ranked Sox #1 because it is written for people who google “updated farm system rankings” -

Updated MLB Farm System Rankings After 2023 MLB Draft

I think it depends if you are actually trying to understand whats going on with the farm or just enjoying some disaster porn. The sox farm will struggle with depth due to how they operate and their market restrictions, but there is also some high level players that are more interesting than are typically found in a sox farm. -
just did some digging. UDFA last year after transferring to Lynn college from UCF. Looks like he was an older freshman at UCF, got screwed with COVID, then got injured the next year. Didn't have much power at UCF, but he went from being listed at 5'7 at UCF to 5'10 at Lynn, but did not have much power or show much ability to walk in college. https://lynnfightingknights.com/news/2022/7/26/7_26_2022_47.aspx https://ucfknights.com/sports/baseball/roster/season/2021/player/matt-archer

Really happy with the innings starters are putting up in the DSL this year. 17 year olds are throwing a handful, but the 18 year olds are getting a full 5. Glad to see it.

Oh is this like that Birmingham camp they had last year? Guess they rotate

Gavin Sheets has the most runners advancing on him

Eloy at least has shown high end offensive production but sheets is a leury level platoon without avg defense. -

I don’t know if I’m reading too much into this but I feel like this indicates Gavin might not be a good defensive outfielder. Has Rick seen this? -
I think he needs to keep losing weight.

After not being thrilled with the top two picks, well-rounded is right for the rest of the class. Some big trait bets, some strong floor plays. Definitely seems like it's going to be harder to lure prep players away than it was before NIL.

Guardians have made a living mostly getting guys more power than expected by improving pitch recognition.

Even though I know better I’m still constantly amazed just how bad this team is.

Just 2-3 with a BB ho hum for Colson.

It's common courtesy to link rather than force people to look for origin, rather than the much smaller inconvenience of clicking on a site and realizing you do not subscribe to it. Also if people are wondering, the Futuresox forum holds a lot of the discussion around when new prospect rankings drop.

honestly I don't think they have done enough of these transactions given how bad their AAA rotation has been and bottom of 40 man pitching wise. Not gonna s%*# on this.
