  1. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 09:18 PM) What did Rabbit say on twitter about Frazier getting moved? I don't see anything. It was a reply to rosenthal so you may not have seen it. Said "are you gonna break Frazier to Boston?" Or something.
  2. Let's all read up on bostons top 30 so we can impress people
  3. Full disclosure I'm watching game of thrones and not the game.
  4. Seems like this is happening. If he's pinch hit it's done probably.
  5. Yeah in thread he said he heard it's done. Seems like he's unsure. Is Todd on field?
  6. I'm kinda lost actually. Was that real or a joke?
  7. QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 02:55 PM) So what's a potential Swarzak deal with someone? (WSH, NYY, BOS, etc.) Tampa? May need to discuss KC/MN too
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 12:13 PM) So I haven't been able to follow this but it seems worth bringing up - what was the deal with the MASN legal judgment that came down yesterday? Supposedly it was favorable to the Nats. Could that be a difference maker? Hmm, yeah. Looks like that was about $300 million in fees that stalled. Still looks like even though ruling favored nats they need to agree to amounts
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 11:54 AM) The Nationals dont strike me as a team that is hurting for money, i would think their ownership would be able to add some players like Robertson. I feel like this is Rizzo being unwilling to meet trade demands because he wants to keep his prospects. I can understand that to a point, but at the same time this team is so close to being World Series worthy. I mean, this is the same guy who sat Strasburg in the final stretch of a season where they were clearly a top team in the league, at Boras's request. According to Nightengales report, the first Robo deal was killed at ownership level, due to cash. They are at high end. They did have that big offer to Jansen but it definitely seems like there's an issue here.
  10. Yeah MRI was yesterday. I do not know what delays there are. I'm expecting worst, but who knows.
  11. I totally buy As going after Schwarber. THey have always taken the most bizarre packages. They have usually worked out more than I expected, but would totally not be surprised if Schwarber recovers and then in 1.5 years the As flip him for 4-5 other prospects.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 11:39 AM) He is pretty much blowing into his Nintendo cartridges right now. Rizzo is not an idiot, so to me this is screaming that they just don't have budget. This could be an attempt of saying "look seriously we have no options, we need to take on at least another 10 mill."
  13. I know it's believing a lot in a small sample but I'd really like that Kahnle trade. I would like to avoid dealing with AZ but I guess getting their one FV 50 guy is not bad. Never heard of either. Don't know much about the rest so I assume they are realistic. For Cardinals / Avi deal, that would be great. I just would love to know what discussions around Avi have actually been. I really like Magneurius Sierra as well from them.
  14. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 12:22 AM) I don't think it's any secret Theo is the one holding the keys up north. I still was kind of surprised he was leading the negotiation.
  15. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 05:42 PM) Just here to state f*** the Celtics. That team was/is loaded with players and picks and they can't pull any triggers. Jesus. I findit kinda humorous how teams would be so psyched to get one of the celts picks in a rebuild to build their franchise around but think those same picks are totally useless to the celtics.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 09:39 AM) It could most definitely be worse. I actually think this is the low point. The production may be worse initially from lopez/giolito/fulmer but i'd much prefer watching them.

I don't want to keep Kahnle. Between what happened with Jesse Crain and now Nate Jones, I'd rather just get it done. With Kahnle we have to worry about both regression and health.

QUOTE (FT35 @ Jul 14, 2017 -> 09:12 AM) Wait a sec...I thought you didn't like player comps!? ; ) Ha, as a BENCHMARK for Kahnle return. I don't like player comps anymore. Except for the Eloy as Jermaine Dye.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/brad-hand Hand is getting quite a bit of suitors for the Padres. What info, if any, would sox learn for any of our own relievers? Is he a comp for Kahnle? Padres are getting a lot of bites on their cheap starters like Cahill. So wish that Holland/MiGo could have sustained what they were doing.
  20. If we get less than we want for Robertson it's probably more due to money. Because Hahn has been aggressive in getting trades out early in the trading seasons, he's set market for everyone. Not just white Sox.
  21. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 08:44 PM) The Sox are very good at AAAA 1B, I imagine most teams are but I still believe in Rogo. I was looking up Jeff Liefers stats the other day to compare to Davidson. Dude had a GREAT year in 2002 I think.
