4/5/23 Giants @ White Sox 1:10 Game Time
Unfortunately every pitcher 6'10 or over we must root for to help the success ratio for tall pitchers and thus guarantee Noah Schulz will succeed.

I don't make bold proclamations but pardner he has a chance to be one of the best pitchers we've ever seen.

4/2 - Games
I thought last year he would have been a much better option than bringing up sosa for his 8 ABs in july. I imagine Remillard may show up as a coach in the org. Always seems to play above his head, won a championship at east carolina

Move Moncada up in the order
I don't care that much about roster construction but I would just say we don't really know that much yet. Last year we were 3-1 and had one of our only big offensive explosions against detroit. Moncada has 2 home runs which is like last years total so I do think this is a good sign (as is YAZ!) but you know. Keep him at 5, move him up, whatever. not like he's batting 9th.

least shocking thing is Jirschele suddently getting the knights to look competent.

Sox win; split series @HOU
I think the core of that problem was largely our groundball rate and lack of power. Our groundball rate is still kinda high, and really there is no reason to believe it would improve that much aside from a relatively speedier team mitigating it and replacing Leury (hit a grounder) with Romy (strikeout a relative improvement). Before we'd put together bases loaded with some singles and grounders. Then you need to hit it in the air and nobody could do it. Now having moncada, grandal showing power, Luis showing power, that's what will cure this. We may still have quite a few left on base situations, but at least we should cash in more.

Sox win; split series @HOU
I think everyone’s priors are confirmed but for me that is that power is good and we win games with power as we have for 2 decades. moncada / Grandal power is extreeeeemely good

ST- 3/27 and 3/28- Sox at Cubs
The thing about hitting the ball hard on a power starved team is that it’s good.
