    LOL
  2. I give Robin credit for taking Latos out when he did. 3rd time through lineup would not have gone well.
  3. At this pace we will win 121.5 games.
  4. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 05:40 PM) You love Putnam, I think he will be gone by June I will gladly take that bet.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 05:39 PM) Well I think you need a bit of both. A team full of Adam Dunn's is going to be pretty s***ty (and that team would have power and OBP). Bottom line, when power isn't there, you still have to be able to score and execute but you can't have 126 home run power either (unless you are elite everywhere else). It isn't as if the Royals / Giants in recent years were power laden teams so it isn't a pre-requisite. I have always said when it comes to offensive stats, I prefer average and OBP to almost everything else. I agree, but if you have a team like ours with low obp and low power, it was going to be difficult to make improvements in both especiallya fter we weren't going to sign the top tier players. In that case, I'd prioritize improving power before OBP, as it seems to naturally get better when there's a real threat of power anyway.
  6. I think the 9th showed some pretty clutch hits. BUt yes. This is why I wanted to prioritize power over OBP. We weren't going to be great at OBP anyway, may as well make it easier to score through more doubles/HRs. Because we had like 8 hits in the ninth to score 4 runs.
  7. That was fun. Put a nail in the coffin Toddy Todd Todderson.
  8. Oh my God guys chill out. Shuck was a perfect 4th OF last year that did well as a pinch hitter.
  9. All of Dick's contrarian posts, but really he is just concerned about our happiness.
  10. Lots of base runners. It'll come around soon. This is why power is great!
  11. Wasn't he at 93 mph in AZ?
  12. Had my first LOL of the year courtesy of DJ's pronounciation of la familia
  13. Sounds like wind may be blowing out. Would love to go yard with some of these guys on base instead of needing to string together 4 hits.
  14. did not realize game was on. Thanks all.
  15. I heard Sam Hinkie is available.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 12:57 PM) He makes several good points. But I can't get my head around pushing it is the cause of the problem. DRose sat and sat and sat and sat, still sits for general soreness, and still gets hurt. If Noah sat out another week, maybe his shoulder doesn't get injured again, but I'm thinking sitting another week would cause that not to happen to be not so likely. I do think using the Suns way may help a bit, but once guys start having a history of breaking down, I don't think there really is much that is going to stop it from continuing. If you want to play your best players 25 minutes a game and sit out anytime they are sore, is that going to be a solution? I find this unconvincing considering 1) The suns had a history of making "players that have a history breaking down" suddenly healhty 2) Reinsdorf's other organization has a fantastic reputation of keeping players healthy, especially pitchers. But also "sit out anytime they are sore"...come on. Nowhere was that an argument. You can't make up a silly argument just to shoot it down.
  17. Amen. Something I've been harping on for 3+ years since the Deng debacle.

I don't know. My wife really liked the trailer. How do you answer that "danman"
  19. That means it will be 2-1 again.
  20. As bad as this season has been, I'm truly amazed they didn't make the playoffs. But, this was basically the regression to the pre-thibs era. Hover around .500 only to make the playoffs the last week of the season. Except we didn't.
  21. I feel good about today. Anxious to see the lineup. It really sucks that cabrera is so awful because we really need a #2 hitter that he was sposeda be.
  22. With whose coming up that's game over.
  23. Just asking for a Frazier home run. No biggy
