  1. Noes I last year, Danks this year. Oh well
  2. Counterpoint https://twitter.com/chicagotribune/status/708636780774494210
  3. You found it difficult to believe he'd be the nominee as well. He'd be the president. He'd hire the executive positions.
  4. Yeah I get it. Also, hell of an autocorrect there.
  5. I mean, not voting against Maldivian assuming he will win is exactly how he wins.
  6. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:29 AM) Your point? Thibs ran garbage out there and they were still competent and competitive for the most part. I want the Bulls to lose at this point but it's the manner they are losing that's alarming. Hoiberg has no control over s***. He should be gone when Gar is shown the door. Exactly. Is Moore so much worse than jl3 or mike Thomas or whoever?
  7. QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 06:55 AM) if i remember correctly, i like many others didn't like the move of how hoiberg became head coach of the bulls. but in his defense, thibs did not become the coach he became overnite. As a head coach, he kinda did.
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 09:10 AM) As a republican I can't disagree enough. Trump isn't a religious zealot who's threatened to eradicate major departments like Education. Now, I can agree with downsizing and shifting responsibility to state/local agencies, but still. Cruz is far scarier to me because he is probably more equipped to get things done. Trump would just be an embarassment. Embarassment doesn't change our day to day lives. Do you know what made Nixon a terrible president? Policy so obviously unworkable and bad is extraordinarily difficult to get done. Using your power to settle bets, create a cult of personality and eliminate opposition is so much worse than bad policy.
  9. I'm reassured that after Cruzs comments last night he is clearly more interested in governing this country than Trump. We can survive a Cruz presidency, it will be bad but we've had bad. This trump thing is just terrifying territory now.
  10. It's fun to see even in spring where you can just relax and enjoy it. It was absolutely insane last year how 8 of 9 offensive were into july before getting double digit home runs.
  11. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 03:30 PM) Didn't his "work" on it while in office consist of not really acknowledging the problem for years and having religious ideologues within the administration try to undermine C. Everrett Koop's legitimate efforts to educate the public? I mean, my God, look at the national panic at Ebola and it's 1 death in the US, and use that frame of mind to imagine the 80s. It is only understandable when you group in the homophobia at the time. They point to them giving money to it, but it was a plague at the time, and if it had happened to any other group the country would have thrown every resource possible at it.
  12. Absolutely idiotic remark by Clinton praising the Reagans for their work on AIDS. I get it's someones funeral, but their record on that was horrendous. It's pretty much saying "heckuva job, Brownie"
  13. My cynical side sees us at 81-81, in it in september before a horrible 2 week slide in the last two weeks. My optimistic side sees us winning a bad division(recordwise) with 88 wins.
  14. I wonder if Reds are just using White Sox to try and get more out of some other team. There seems to be no need on our end at all, but we keep being brought up. It's likely Cinci trying to do a "if you don't pony up he's going to the White Sox!" move.
  15. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 10:17 AM) I saw the Bears were showing some interest in Scott Tolzien. I think he would be a really good back up. Showed a lot of improvement the past two years. Packers would never let him go if they didn't have Brett Hundley. Cutler will not make 16 games and it's really annoying how bad some of our backups consistently are. I hope we sign Tolzein but also would enjoy drafting Dak Prescott.

  17. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 08:14 PM) Thank you sir That clip was brilliant.
  18. I was relieved Romney was the nominee, and do think his resume leading up to the campaign was moderate - a relief to me. But lets not forget, he did not run as a moderate. He was the nominee in the height of the GOP thinking the tea party movement was actually about drastically cutting down government, and not 100% just white tribalism.
  19. Gold ergs the Obama doctrine article was incredible to get during the presidency.
  20. Tracy porters deal is basically 1 year, 4.5 mill
  21. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 06:11 PM) Way too much for Porter and Massie. Love the Trevathan signing though I mean...when every contract that's being signed is way too much, that's kind of just the market then.
  22. Bears not out of woods yet with treviathan. Schefter tweeted Falcons in hunt too.
  23. Very happy about this. Mcphee/Treviathan...heck yeah.
