  1. Mine has plaster walls with mesh netting, probably going to have to get two modem/routers.
  2. Teki Gill Caesar transferring. Just a disaster start for Kim Anderson. We knew transfers were coming, we assumed it would be the disgruntled 3 stars, instead it was the seemingly happy 4-5 stars.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 14, 2015 -> 09:21 PM) Jordan Hill and? IDK. Fact is the Warriors winning the way they did is going to change the game. We would've seen this evolution a lot sooner had one of the Nash/D'antoni (bad luck/injuries) teams won. Yeah, all it takes is another 08-11 lakers team to appear and everyone say "We need dynamic 7 footers to win!"
  4. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Jul 15, 2015 -> 06:36 AM) Better yet, ask Putin if he will snap back sanctions on IRAN......I think we know the answer......This was about Narcissus and nothing else....Ask the families of the Americans held in IRAN how they feel about this "deal". And don't tell me that had nothing to do with nuclear negotiations as this joke of an administration is want to do. The UN arms embargo had nothing to do with nuclear negotiations but yet we somehow caved on that too...I'm just glad we know who to blame for IRAN having nukes.... The sanctions snap back if just one of the five believe Iran has cheated the agreement. They may decide not to impose the sanctions, but they could do that now just the same. I agree though that we should probably have families of hostages to inform our foreign policy. Seems like a no brainer.
  5. I'm intrigued. What if you could only loan to the other league?
  6. Tough offseason.
  7. Right, but maybe he is. Real Estate transactions aren't exactly quick and easy, especially at those price points. I doubt he recieved word he's getting traded and was able to put his house on market before anyone else has gotten privvy to it.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 14, 2015 -> 08:21 AM) So Noah is selling his Lincoln Park mansion. The real estate agent said proximity to work is his priority. Considering the Bulls now practice next to the UC, this is a bit confusing since he bought the home a year ago. Maybe he is getting dealt. Maybe, but going from lincoln park southwest to United Center is no peach either even compared to Berto Center.
  9. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 13, 2015 -> 02:53 PM) Stuff-wise, multiple scouts I've seen quoted were not impressed. Good to know. Have not been excited by him since his ML stint, but he has been successful that's for sure. Sounds like he's not supplanting Carroll's role anytime soon.
  10. apparently a terrible game all around today.

You can imagine how highly I held up Jeremy Reed and his .400 average

Ah, good times (manually writing these up because I don't know how to format) Age 20 Winston Salem (.253/.318/.320), 88 SB/19 CS I looked at that line and was DROOOOLING
  13. Read on SCH that hopefully Daley can take over PP1 defenseman to get Keith more rest as he ages. Interesting thought, I used to love Campbell on the power play (and not much else). Lots of change next year. about 3 weeks later as it washes away I get home sick. Too much fun the past 6 years watching certain lines gel in the playoffs, the shaw/kane line in 2014, the TT/desjardin/Sharp line in 2015, every time in 2013 when Kane/Toews would pair together to save a series. Such a small amount of time you get to watch that stuff before this league breaks it up.

Reminds me of when I first started following the minors as a kid and thought Ruddy Yan was going to be the next Rickey Henderson.
  15. I saw that, I was just adding my .02 on that entry point. Seems like a good tip for the die-hards on this board.
  16. I have made a point to enter the park through Chisox bar and grill. 9/10 times the line is far far shorter than any other gate and they are much faster to get through with bags.
  17. I don't care that Sharp was traded, we have to deal with that, I was surprised we had to give Johns in the trade.
  18. So what to make of Drabek?

I have been reading/enjoying Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel. Show has been decent, but sometimes I get really confused by show and then book clarifies. They kind of introduced people/plots in show for no reason other than they happened in book, but if you weren't reading book they aren't explained enough to know what the hell is going on.
  20. Closed June 9th, have been painting seemingly every day for a month, and we finally have 2 coats on the master bedroom, hallway, entryway, living room, dining room, family room and sunroom. So we can move in. I also put fresh paint on the ceilings. Man, painting entire interior = so much harder than one bedroom You have no idea how much longer it is to paint trim/windows until you start on it. Such a treat when you can actually start rolling on the walls.
  21. I am cautiously pessimistic about Sharp trade (b/c of SJ), but will feel really terrible if we lose Oduya/Kruger after this move.
  22. Well, maybe things have changed. Adam Caplan on twitter yesterday said the sheriff told him it was assault on a neighbor's son.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 13, 2015 -> 09:50 AM) Probably have to wait until the full story comes out. We've heard everything from one person's side but it sounds bad. If he was socking a kid and knocked them to the ground unprovoked or just because they were using some public chairs, well then he gone. Nothing good happens at 3 AM. No idea why I've decided to give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe because it just sounds like way too stupid of a thing to do. Probably means he did it. Dumbass. I believe it mainly because it doesn't sound that outrageous. You never had a dad insert himself into a fight in middle school/high school? I think that happened 2-3 times when I was that age.
  24. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 13, 2015 -> 10:03 AM) I don't know what to make off Doug. None of us really know how his injury impacted him early in the season and we obviously know it would be pretty tough coming back into a rotation after missing the time he had missed (and also with the struggles he had prior to that because of the injury). Then to get up to game speed on a competitive roster. But last year he was awful (he was fine in summer league but awful as a whole). Hard to argue otherwise but I'm willing to write off that year due to injuries, etc. That said, hopefully it was a big learning year for Doug and that he can use it as a spring board to future success. The one thing I remember about Doug last year was that his shot was lousy and I hope that had to do with the knee or confidence because if he can't do that, he has no chance. That said, he had a pretty darn good history of being a good shooter. I'm glad he's getting the experience now and he is a very nifty finisher around the basket (you can tell he was well coached). Would be big to get development out of him and have him look like a good bench player. Not asking him to be a world beater, just turn into a good bench player who can help stretch the court. Last year he had no idea how to play within the offense. He would either stand in the corner and wait, or he would be a complete ballhog and try to show off going to the basket every time. He clearly can be a hot-hand scorer, but not clear at what cost.
