  1. Dang, wasn't he a 4-year starter at Kansas too? Feels like he should be 38 at least.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 4, 2015 -> 09:16 AM) I have seen some tweets and stories about it, it seems like there is an alpha dog problem. Wall says he is it, Beal thinks he is it, the locker room has divided over it TBH, I hate paul pierce, but I'm surprised a player like him on the team would let a locker room split like that. Unless I could also see him play favorites too.
  3. Main takeaway from that game - Niko and Gasol pulling out their big men to the perimeter destroyed that defense. ALSO - man, what happened to the Wiz?
  4. George Kottaras has such a great name, rooting for him
  5. This email thing is another reason why I wish someone beside Clinton could emerge. Considering the roll the US was on in the 90s, the lack of signature accomplishments by Clinton is embarrassing, especially environmentally.
  6. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 3, 2015 -> 07:31 AM) Sorry if this was mentioned already but I hate seeing the Minoso thread sinking down the page because most of us never saw the man play and don't realize how truly gifted he was as a player and even moreso as a person. SSS writes 3 articles and has a podcast about his passing and his career. It is some of his best work and every Sox fan should read it as well as the others. http://www.southsidesox.com/2015/3/2/81314...o-rest-in-peace . Agreed, some great stuff at SSS this week.
  7. Very cool. Good on sox to do whatever possible to promote that stadium after that crap team last year.
  8. Well, in Johnson's interview he said he fought shoulder inflammation all year, but they could not find a structural reason. Not that that's optimal to have a mystery shoulder, but if that is behind him he may find himself back to normal.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 2, 2015 -> 12:28 PM) So does Jeff or Jose start? With my luck it will be Scott Carroll.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 2, 2015 -> 08:58 AM) http://m.mlb.com/news/article/110819666/ph...hicago-treasure Very good Phil Rogers column on Minnie. Didn't realize his WAR and BB/K stats were so amazing... Here's one reason we'd love to have a Minoso on this team: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/...smi01-bat.shtml His XBT% was in the 60 percentiles for multiple years. Nice player to have on the basepaths ahead of you.
  11. Man this is the worst effort I've ever seen pau give on D this year. Really disappointing.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 1, 2015 -> 11:16 AM) I just read a good, but probably easy for a big White Sox fan, trivia question. There is still an active player who had a teammate who was a teammate of Minnie's. Took me a while but I figured it out. That's awesome
  13. Any chance there are streaming options for this?
  14. He was so much fun in 05 06. I think I've mentioned that I don't know s much about Sox history since my dad was an Is fan. Minoso was it. He was the first guy I knew and clung too and wish I could have seen.
  15. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 28, 2015 -> 05:42 PM) Kobe is out for the season Read it again.
  16. Don't see him on much anymore, but soxtalk's own reported on this : http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/p...ory.html#page=1
  17. Really hope he pitches for OD for my sake. But, not worried about this.
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 24, 2015 -> 06:13 PM) related: Bad lieutenant: American police brutality, exported from Chicago to Guantánamo Exclusive: At the notorious wartime prison, Richard Zuley oversaw a shocking military interrogation that has become a permanent stain on his country. Part one of a Guardian investigation reveals he used disturbingly similar tactics to extract confessions from minorities for years – as a police officer in urban America Some good follow-up by WBEZ on this: http://www.wbez.org/news/concerns-raised-o...n-square-111635 There was also another. Definitely seems like Ackerman may have been hyping up one location and I agree that may be misleading the cause. Also the whole quote about how chicago crime reporters are helping cover up things because they agree with it just opened him up for his loose reporting. I like Ackerman, but if you are going into a local zone and act like you know something others don't, you better have been tactful.
