There he is.

I will say it was hard to watch that game without going full-on meathead, but the next day just calm down people.

Ryan Masset was a QB or something.

At this point I'd give bears 2.5 and that's it. They don't want to be in playoffs.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 05:18 PM) Speaking as a Packers fan, I fully expect the Bears to beat Green Bay on Sunday. As bad as they looked against Philadelphia, the Packers' "defense" is going to make them look like world-beaters. Throw in the coaching genius known as Mike McCarthy and the Bears can't lose. The Pack will need to score 40 points to outplay their horrible defense, and that ain't happening. All I can think is you packer fans have no idea how spoiled you are when Mike McCarthy is your idea of a whipping boy for coaches.

Not this year. Anyway good news for #teamtank. Toronto is looking competent. I think #teamtank needs the following three teams to make a hot run and push above bulls for playoffs: Raptors Pistons Bucks* Bucks are obviously the hardest to count on, but they have an org who WANTS to win which is hilarious and may help team tank.

QUOTE (Boogua @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 04:41 PM) I think Jay could have played the game of his life and they probably wouldn't have won. Giving up 300 yards on the ground and 47 points on defense doesn't usually result in wins. Jay didn't play well, but I think it's fair to say he didn't get enough help. McCown had a 115 passer rating against the Vikings and only scored 20. Something doesn't add up there. His two TDs were a 46 yard TD by Jeffry (ridiculous catch) and an 80 yard TD by Jeffry. He can move the sticks pretty well because he's patient and doesn't mind checking down. He won't lose you many games with bad throws, but he won't win you many with his throws either. With how bad the Bears defense is they need a guy that can win you a game with his arm. No, Jay couldn't have won the game. But the d score was worse by our 3 and outs. And really the issue and why I'm so annoyed by his play was this was a game we knew the offense could not get behind schedule. Yet they came out with three and outs and bad throws and drops. And worse is when Jay gets behind it brings out bad Jay so easily. He holds onto the ball longer, he starts firing ball to Marshall in double coverage, he gets sacked and fumbles from both of these. Basically if we fall behind by more than 10 he ditches the offense. But you are right, McCown uses our offense to work the ball up and down the field beautifully. But his lack of arm kills us in red zone.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 04:37 PM) Really? The first punt of the game went 25 yards. The first two ST plays effectively put 14 points on the board for the Eagles Decamillis sets a pretty low bar. And this time, while it "led" to TDs, ultimately the defense didn't have to give up 7 in both scenarios.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 04:33 PM) What about the Podlesh punt that gave the Eagles a short field to start the game? I think I black out every time podlesh comes on the field.

Even though the Danks trade worked out I still think it was a pretty bizarre and risky trade I wouldn't like to see again.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 03:28 PM) It is so aggravating to see how unprepared the team was in all three phases yesterday. Nobody came to play Barring the Hester fumble I thought our ST was finally decent!

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 03:11 PM) LOL at you guys who think the Bears can catch lighting in a bottle and do something in the playoffs. That defense is terrible and it's not going to suddenly stop being terrible. I just want to be in the playoffs. I want Brandon Marshall to get into the playoffs. Three years in a row of being 1 win away is just brutal.

Yeah yeah, James Starks is a fine backup and he'll easily put 200+ on this travesty of a run defense. edit: Prep yourself for laughter at watching Bostic jumping out of the running lane and behind the seal seemingly on purpose to open up a 20 yard gain to lead to Conte running benny hill style behind Starks. It's a hoot.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 04:42 AM) Jay was so hesitant in the pocket tonight. Any sort of pressure caused him to hesitate, which led a good amount of his sacks tonight. Welcome to his career. I didn't think tucker should be fired until today. Seeing bostics lack of progression makes me think he just can't hack it here. Bostic may be worse than conte and dumber than Hester.

Missouri lost that game because in a matchup of even teams a bunch of loose balls randomly went to the Illini more than mizzou. Not Haith. It was an even matchup decided by one point. -

I guess we ignore the beautiful play he drew up to get wide open three. Then gets his d lineup out there, they cause a loose ball, Illini travel, get second possession and foul called. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 12:39 AM) Frank Haith is just a pathetic coach. I am stunned he called a timeout after the go-ahead 3 pointer. You are an idiot. -

He's a freshman and point is difficult. He's gaining great experience. I can't wait to see him as a junior. -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 12:39 AM) Clarkson should be available in the late first if they get a pick for Deng or something. He'd be a good backup. Thibs could turn him into a defensive star. -

Mizzou has had sluggish first halves and corrected...hoping that will be the case. I love the potential of Wes Clark but he has been exposed vs good defenses so far.
