Don't get me wrong, you can win a championship with Deng, but you can't win a championship with Deng as your second most high paid player unless you got huge value out of some rookie deal. Bulls don't have that and likely won't.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Crawford, just talking about the model and the thought process behind it. I hope like hell Crawford turns into Patrick Roy at this point since he's signed long term. You have to wonder if what we thought Bowman's guiding principles are were rather just him dealing with constraints. With those largely removed, we see that he does have a preference to reward players who performed with long-term deals. We'll see if it works with more titles, but it seems like it will hamstring hawks flexibility.

I knew Teague was playing horrendously, but this is one case where the eye test doesn't do it justice just how bad he is.

Well, steelers have been playing a lot better recently. That said, the eagles just seem like the WORST matchup for the bears.
