  1. How do we know Viciedo doesn't realize it?
  2. Speaking of conceding the outside shot. OHHHH MAN did I love how tight Jimmy would play lebron at the 3 point line. That is trusting your help D.
  3. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 7, 2013 -> 04:54 PM) Nate is faster than Rose, but I don't think he'd be able to finish at the rim since Lebron can block him from behind. Still, if we're talking about Lebron having to adjust to play D on Nate, i'm happy because that means it's a close game in the 4th. It really just depends who else is on the floor. Because the reality is if Ray Allen is out there whoever is guarded by him should take him. (This is possible for nate, deng, butler or bellinelli). If Ray Allen is off floor, I think you'll want to go for the height advantage you'd have of deng/butler vs. Chalmers.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 7, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) I'd keep Jimmy on LeBron til he proves he can't guard him. I love the idea of Luo and his length on Wade. That's obviously assuming Luo is able to come back soon. Yeah I'm kind of underestimating how much this illness would affect Deng.
  5. I think it's a waste to use Lebron on Nate, Lebron's asset would be to help d against our bigs. The heat just made a huge mistake leaving Ray Allen out there, bulls just kept picking until he'd guard nate and nate would take him.
  6. VladRad doesn't look awkward at all celebrating: http://i.minus.com/iTXghtKJo8Eyl.gif
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2013 -> 02:55 PM) If the Bulls can actually get Deng back in the next game, so that they can have an extra body to throw at Lebron, they can make this even tougher on him. Hinrich on Chalmers, Butler on Wade, Deng on James, Noah on Bosh, That is a great d lineup against the heat. Hinrich is a luxury at that point on chalmers (likely will get butler some rest since you can do hinrich on wade and keep nrob in game vs. Chalmers). Really hope Bosh can stay cold from 3. Heat become much easier to defend when that s*** isn't working.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 7, 2013 -> 02:44 PM) You know the Heat and LeBron's strategy was for him to get his teammate's involved, and then take over the 4th quarter while they dialed up their defense and shut us down. Thing is, while LeBron has shifted to Rose in the 4th quarters and shut him down, they had no real answer for Nate. I expect LeBron to be a bit more aggressive in the next game instead of waiting til the 4th quarter. He's our irrational confidence man we needed dearly in 11.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 7, 2013 -> 03:38 PM) I think their brand is irreparably damaged.. I just think it will take a lot of capital investment they don't have the market confidence to make. Their stores are too big to change, same for Sears. It's a lot easier for Gap/J Crew/etc to pivot and start this more fashion oriented trend. Hell, sears Lands End Canvas actually has really nice stuff, but you have to walk through 4 miles of generic brands to get there. It's hard to move toward these trends of retail as curators and clear style. Just too much space.
  10. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 7, 2013 -> 02:29 PM) http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-05-03/j...hnson-team.html Not sure that's a surprise, I'm guessing they gave Johnson a hell of a contract to lure over. He was such a hot get since people thought he'd save retail. Guess not. I like a lot of what JC Penny carries, but their stores are old and gross. I expected Johnson to make a flagship store showing what to expect, new layouts, brighter, cleaner, and I don't think that happened. So, the stores basically removed discounts and looked the same. Such poor execution.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 7, 2013 -> 02:18 PM) I'm truly starting to believe that Jimmy Butler is going to wind up being an All-Star. SG is so weak, if he can stick there in the east you might be right. Jimmy's FG% was only 38%, but 9/10 from FT. That's lower than I thought, but considering his minutes and his effort on D he had to exert, to me it's still incredible.
  12. QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 7, 2013 -> 12:39 AM) It's easiest to start with what you know, even if you don't know you know it. Think about a few things in your life you cannot live without, and look into the various companies that make those products. For a quick example, I'd guess that 40% if what's in your refrigerator is made by ConAgra. The answers for investing are all around us, and people simply don't notice it. Take iPhones and Androids, what compromises them? I invested a few hundred shares of Corning, who make gorilla glass. Why? Because I know phones, tablets, etc. All of them use gorilla glass. Corning was trading around 12 for the longest time and in the past few weeks has started to get noticed. It's at almost 15 now and pays a dividend. These are the types of stocks I look for. Who makes something everyone used but nobody seems to have noticed yet? From food to electronics, someone's makes every little detail that goes into it. I saw your tip in the tech thread on that, it's really good advice. Joel Greenblatt harps on that a lot in his douchey titled books. I just need to keep my eyes open like that and practice. I'm still going through basic stuff like Benjamin Graham's how to interpret financial statements. Any reading material you suggest that helped you?
  13. Woke up and the Bulls still won. I think what amazes me most about Jimmy's performance is during breaks you could see him looking a bit tired. What I'd expect them is him to start missing his FTs and jumpers. Nope. I feel like he was perfect FG% in the fourth, including that huge 3 (which by the way, are much less flat than they used to be). Lebron still took Jimmy easily on about 25% of his drives, but he strangely didn't try Bellinelli that much. I'd expect that to change. Belli did a great job defending Lebron and staying in good position, but Lebron can still beat him a good amount if he tried. (Of course, part of that is our help D being so good last night Lebron knew he'd get mugged if he beat our guards)
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 7, 2013 -> 03:50 AM) I did. He took a ridiculously stupid 3 when LeBron had Belinelli on him in the post. LOL was just about to type same thing.
  15. I hated the Nate Robinson signing so much, and now I just stand in awe that our demanding D first coach was the first one to let him truly shine.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2013 -> 02:13 AM) Don't get crazy and think they can do this four times. Honestly it wouldn't shock me if the Bulls lost the next four, unless they get really healthy, really quickly. Lets just enjoy this. It was so improbable. Also refs called a great game tonight. Seriously, three didnt favor heat at all.
  17. Game thread talk: f*** you refs for not giving bellinelli that foul
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 6, 2013 -> 11:59 PM) You dribble into a trap don't expect the refs to bail you out if there is a little contact. Teague and Cook have been garbage and the refs have had nothing to do with it. Yes. This is why game 1 will be difficult. Our 11 and 12 men playing good minutes
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:35 PM) Aggrey Sam ‏@CSNBullsInsider 2m Thibs: Kirk is out. damn. Sometimes you can steal a game 1 when one team is on a long rest and the other is still pumped up from a late win.
  20. QUOTE (Jake @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:44 PM) You can at least see Teague is getting better running and driving, which were what he was good at before. He had a nice finish or two plus a good dish in the fast break in the last game. Yeah, I mean you could see his struggles were experience in youth. When running the offense he was too often hanging around watching, and then he just had really poor decision making. I don't think either of those are "who he is" (though they may end up being so). He's got good athleticism and I drives to the hoop well. I think the future is bright for him.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 6, 2013 -> 08:46 PM) Could you imagine if he had a Butler type improvement? If he has a butler type improvement he'll still be pretty raw. I'm going to try and remain patient with him. He is so young, and PG is a hard position to play. But if those minutes are real indications of his ability to play within the flow of the game, I think we may have found a good 2nd PG with a long career.
  22. Also, I was impressed by the minutes Teague gave us past few games. He is such a raw product, but I think we'll see a big improvement with another offseason under Thibs.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 6, 2013 -> 06:33 PM) Joffrey isn't gay if that's what you had in mind. Joffrey just likes hurting/killing people more than sex with whores. Also, Margaery and her mother are fully aware of this, hence Margaery playing perfectly into Joffrey's desires, and you'll see in the future what the Tyrells think of Joffrey. He likes killing/torturing things that can't fight back.
  24. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 6, 2013 -> 08:06 PM) Tim Tebow got released by the Jets, DID YOU HEAR ABOUT IT? I actually had not. What a pleasure to be away from ESPN during that debacle. I have an irrational feeling that the bears will walk away with 3 starters by 2014 season from this draft. First time I've felt that way since like, the Tommy Harris draft. Not sure if that was even a good draft.
