Free Agent Tracker
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 9, 2010 -> 01:05 AM) This has been said more than once already, but to make it clear: It is almost absolutely certain that his demands were much higher until most or all of the suitors went in an alternative direction. THIS IS NOT WHAT THE PRICETAG WAS WHEN KENNY WAS NEGOTIATING WITH HIM Ok, sorry. and i find that irrelevant.

Cork and Kerry wants Jimbo's site
QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Jan 8, 2010 -> 05:54 PM) I very much support this opening, but I'm having a tough time figuring out how they are gonna get approved for an "incidental bar license" Are they really gonna try and pay off ...? yes

Cork and Kerry wants Jimbo's site
Not being aware of the actual bar, I thought Sammy Sosa and Kerry Wood were going to buy Jimbos

it was truly shocking how bad Betemit was on defense. Uggla's performance in the all-star game would've been a good day for him.

In New Jersey...
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 8, 2010 -> 02:56 PM) Off topic a bit, but Portugal is getting close to legalizing gay marriage. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/01/08/p...v_n_416005.html On weekdays I forget that Portugal is still a country... But congratulations to them, Go Portugal! I hear their portuguese is harder to understand than Brazil...on the other hand the No reservations episode at the Azors was the rams!

taking on the filibuster would have to be a deal where it gets phased out some time down the line when nobody knows who will be in power. Really, I think it probably should be taken out, we have so many checks, it's just not necessary, and it tends to lead to bills that are completely defined by senators from...well, states that aren't the most populated.

Failed terrorist attack in Detroit
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 03:37 PM) Quickly skimming while at work I thought you were making the case that eventually we'll be able to catch all terrorist attempts. ha, my quick skim created the same thought.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 28, 2009 -> 12:03 AM) The Argentine National Team is a mess, they have more holes in their defense than Swiss cheese... serves them right for idiotically putting Maradona as coach.

Viciedo at 1b?
that title made me laugh. I'd love to make the propogandist titles for Chicagowhitesox and Chicagobears.com. Anyway, that kind of sucks. There goes his plus value

Failed terrorist attack in Detroit
Blow up the red line and see the chaos and terror in the city. That's my point. There's pretty much no security on it. you'd essentially shut down the entire el. Flooding everyone on buses that are already overcrowded. An entire major city would be nearly immobilized.

They also take the trains like every day though. It's how they get to work/live. That's pretty killer to take away.

It's cold outside
long johns ftw. With those I can wear pretty much any outer wear jacket and stay warm, which is important, because I need to look good at all times - and DO. Fortunately, It's 30 degrees C here, so all I need is a T-shirt and jeans. Go Brazilian lax work dress code.

Failed terrorist attack in Detroit
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 02:33 AM) The problem is that barely anyone uses trains. They are pretty much confined to old cities in the US, and that is about it. Rurally, they train passengers are about as rare as Cubs WS's. I'm kind of at a loss here...more people live in cities than rural areas. And how often do people in rural areas fly?
