  1. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 7, 2009 -> 05:28 PM) Depends, how do you define "policy"? He talks about generic conservative principles ad nauseam but doesn't really get that specific except to say that liberals are stupid. You definitely won't get it from Hannity either, he is a tool. There are other conservative hosts that actually do though. how hard is it to say "get rid of it"

my first post: "personally, I was excited that Aaron Miles had a shot and I hope he gets called up soon. Just wondering what you all think. I don't think we needed 3 catchers at all." jesus, yeah 3 catchers and they all sucked.

  5. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jul 6, 2009 -> 06:08 PM) Federer is...hands down...the best overall tennis player ever. Amazing some of the shots he makes. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/08/20/sports/p...?pagewanted=all
  6. Johnny Damon freaking killed us in 2000
  7. I normally feel like we get an honest, or rather accurate, read from our organization regarding player injuries - but with Quentin I feel the opposite. I'm going to be very cautious with my expectations.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2009 -> 03:32 AM) Someone would have to rig the election to beat her? Isn't that why Michelle Bachman is illuminating ACORN?
  9. poor balta.
  10. I love watching Federer.
  11. A strong candidate for the GOP... like, she'd do well in GOP primaries? Pretty sure she'd lose as bad as Mousavi
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 05:09 PM) via TPM I liked the blog post about trying to explain Sarah Palin in 30 years to someone who wasn't there.
  13. I too hate when people say "wait for it" I want a talking heads song. I like them.
  14. QUOTE (jhonnydanks @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 02:37 PM) don't stop get it get it YES
  15. I mean, he's from Nevada, we should've seen this coming.
  16. QUOTE (Texsox @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 01:30 PM) Well Hillary Palin is the one that the Dems GOP wants to run. They have been salivating for four years to have her at the top of the ticket. I know I was so annoyed whenever people would make the comment about all Dems love Hillary, etc. Weren't you a hillary supporter?
  17. probably the most ineffectual leader in the history of this country that gets a load of s*** from the other side for taking the country in the wrong direction. Reid takes no one in any direction. He merely is.
  18. Put me down for one of the people who wouldn't want her being the R candidate in 2012. I don't care if she'd likely lose in a landslide, the fact that the is part of the 50/50 that COULD win scares the s*** out of me. I'd rather have someone I'd hate and live with, than someone I'd be scared for my life with.
  19. so I have to see her on tv for no reason now.
  20. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 11:10 PM) Spin making the rounds: She is resigning because: Basically, the line is that she's quitting because the AK Democrats and the media were too mean to her. does someone hear a violin?
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 11:02 PM) There are 2 ways it makes sense to me. She's facing some sort of investigation for something she actually did and she's ducking and covering first so that others take the blame, or she's going to declare for the Alaskan Senate Seat primary. Otherwise, this is very odd. For the latter, I SERIOUSLY don't see how resigning helps that AT ALL. The ® in the primary can just hold against her that she hadn't gone more than 2.5 years in to her run as governor, and likely won't last as Sen (2012).
  22. haha, i thought I did that.
  23. title change?
  24. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 10:18 PM) This is not overly complicated, it seems to me. Palin's popularity in Alaska has been plummeting. The last thing she wants is to lose an election, or look unpopular. Cutting her losses to protect her image. I suppose there is a chance there is something brewing we don't know of, but, I think the above is more obvious and simple. but even so, at it's face it looks like she's quitting because of investigations and media scrutiny. That effectively ends her chances of ever getting elected to a higher office than governor, though she may be able to go for mayor! This is just the end of a terrible farce we've dealt with for months. edit: seriously, look at her speech: millions of your dollars are being wasted, so I'm quitting, I can do more change from the outside. Bulls***.
  25. from palin's speech: "Political operatives descended on Alaska last August, digging for dirt. The ethics law I championed became their weapon of choice. Over the past nine months I've been accused of all sorts of frivolous ethics violations - such as holding a fish in a photograph, wearing a jacket with a logo on it, and answering reporters' questions." Yup, you nailed all the ethical scandals you were accused of in that paragraph!
