  1. mainly sounds like they've just not officially made signings official while they work through it.
  2. I like them moving up the timeline both for acknowledging the supply capacity then but also that it is basically a free for all anyway now.

And looks like the tax deadline was pushed into May today (May 17 I think)
  4. Interesting, Illinois is now providing a weekly breakdown of their federal allocation. And this does not include " The City of Chicago receives its own allocation of vaccine and therefore is not included on the IDPH website. These data include vaccine allocated to the state and do not include vaccine that is part of the federal supply, which is directly distributed by the federal government. " http://dph.illinois.gov/covid19/vaccineallocations
  5. I honestly think Bears should just be in a holding pattern and still just keep eyes on one of these two franchise QBs being available. As we can see, there is no real moving the needle much this year with the salary cap the way it is. Maybe a surprise tackle becomes available and you give it a shot. Otherwise it's guys left on the merry-go-round and biding time and hoping that the QBs make it so painful their teams acquisce and the bears still can make it happen. That's the only franchise altering move out there. Maybe trading A-rob for a 1st/high second in hopes of packaging for a QB or just having an extra pick.
  6. Williams was more aggressive last night but really struggled finishing. I both hope it doesn't discourage him while also hoping it doesn't mean he will never be able to get to rim and get FTs.
  7. Imagine had the bulls pulled off that rumored deal that never sounded like it was real: Trade WCJ+4 for the 2nd pick (which was rumored wiseman) but if the bulls got Lamelo. Team outlook would be so different. Regardless of them not taking full advantage of what they could have gotten, still so annoying how terrible their luck was in draft position when they are tanking. If Bulls were as lucky as grizz and got JJJ and Ja instead of WCJ and Coby it's just a different franchise.
  8. George: "So what is the plan then, why should I keep you?" Pace/Nagy speaking at same time: "We are going to guarantee the salaries of our most expensive players and release our top cornerback so that we can sign ... Pro Bowler Andy Dalton!" George: "PACE YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN!"
  9. That's what I'm interested in. So he is pushing for a trade, the team seems like the price is relatively set, but Seattle says no, and then Russ is like "okay glad I tried "? Still an opportunity for the players to cause the rift here, but I still wouldn't have prioritized getting Dalton over just spreading out some LB/WR depth.
  10. Of course there is, I'm just skeptical of the polls and handwringing at this point. There is still a hell of a lot of people that want it and can't yet get it. When we are at the point where it is easy to get, then tell me 30% still don't want it. But again, I think some of it may just be the typical polling answers we get that are more of a "screw you"
  11. AJ Green isn't much better than any mid-level vet receiver you could name, unfortunately. A shell of himself.
  12. Also Dalton had fantastic offensive personnel for most of his career and he had one (1) 30+ TD season. And he's been much worse as the personnel declined. I believed the whole "the offense can't run with Mitch" more before we saw Nick Foles come in and run a worse offense than Mitch.
  13. Not really concerned about the polling. I'd bet there will be a divergence between what they say and what they do. And there is also just a supply issue still. Show me in July when you can walk into any walgreens or CVS and get one on demand the people that still haven't gotten it, until then it's just projection.
  14. The amazing thing to me is just the Wilson thing started what, 2 weeks ago? So they had that day-long heart to heart where Ryan and Matt sold their plan to George, and apparently that plan was Andy Dalton.
  15. The cowboys were in the NFC east.
  16. I believe @Dick Allen said in the offseason that if Rodon was coming from another team he'd have been the guy we'd all be focusing on. He was right, but no pitcher has disappointed me more than Rodon so I still didn't want him. But the guy is still one of the best reclamation projects in the league and he does look like he took this offseason as the kick in the butt it was.
  17. I'm going to defend Foles a bit. He plays up to the team he's on, and his stretch for the bears featured a) the best defenses they faced all year and b) the worst offensive line the bears had all year. Trubs had the opposite. Foles is not good, but playing with Coward I can't even remember some of the guards wasn't going to make any QB look good. Dalton has been in offenses that had a lot of talent with the exception of 2019 and certainly trended that way in 2018. But despite offensive line decline last year due to injuries, he won't have one of the best RBs in the game, and the type of WR core he had last year. I really just think they should have waited. He's not that much better than foles that you would be lost in a lurch. See who is available post draft. Maybe San Fran gets a QB and Jimmy G throws a fit. Maybe Darnold becomes available. This doesn't prevent them, no, but it may prevent some other FAs we could have gotten with 10 mill (not to mention we just lost a 5th round comp pick for Dalton lol)
  18. Except another team May own the pick
  19. I like these QBs (I mean I like the idea of Lance but he’s just a paragraph profile to me) but it is impossible now for me to be excited that the front office that has specifically chosen Trubisky, Glennon, Foles and Dalton is going to be able to get the great QB and not the inevitable bust. And to move up it’s likely needing to move a future first
  20. Man nba draftniks may be the worst of all sports. There was so much stuff predraft on bulls boards on people wanting to “go for high ceiling” and drafting poku at 4. This could bite me blah blah but he has been the worst basketball player I’ve seen this year every game I’ve watched him. Thad is just incredible this year.
  21. For the record; Biggs says Bears may not be done remaking their QB room. They may go after Alex Smith!
  22. I can’t believe the bears are able to get someone to write this without paying them. https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/bears/ct-chicago-bears-andy-dalton-20210316-iazjktu6rbcx3ckjwwp6bvyozu-story.html?outputType=amp&__twitter_impression=true
  23. It’s just funny these plan As and plan Bs. Like a friend telling you how they could hook up with the hottest girl in the bar and then going home with a st Paulie girl cardboard cutout
