I'd be interested to see the vids from his first half last year in birmingham. There was a time when they were trying to smooth out his hitch and he ditched it because it was affecting his production/felt unnatural and he went back to his college swing and was raking for a bit. I wonder if this is back to that swing or a modified version of it he's bought into.

Yeah I think Walker is most likely to make majors for a decent career, Adolfo best to make it as a starter. Decent career means longevity not necessarily starter. Adolfo > Basabe > Walker > Gonzalez > Rutherford

so jenderrson caraballo, a 2016 signee that had a decent first year then disappeared, started today in DSL with a performance. He never k'd many, but didn't allow a lot of hits and had a good era. No idea if he had TJS or what. Probably not that interesting anymore

They weren't wrong on Aiken, they drafted him, and he had an incredibly poor medical. You can't really predict that.

Rodriguez definitely a streaky player but his bad streaks are never that terrible.

There was a big typo there where I meant to write 2015 dodgers, when Greinke was there. I do think Dodgers are likely closer now but still think their main advantage is being one of the best evaluators.

The 2019 astros are much more advanced than the 2019 dodgers and so were the 2015 Astros.

He can be intelligent but may not have the measurements and tools the astros have in PD.

Pitcher contracts for these established veterans are so tradeable. Even when they appeared fading, like Verlander, they got a decent set of pieces back. When they are great, like Greinke, they can still get a nice return. they got four years of good Greinke then traded the rest for prospects at a reasonable cost. Sox shouldn’t be so timid on pitching contracts.

And what kills me is if the sox were a top ten team in international from 2007-2013, this decade is completely different. But they were a bottom 2 team. The international classes of the last 4 years could be the fuel that keeps the rebuilded team going with trades and more. Instead they are fine riding a razor thin margin.
