They also signed Yasmani Grandal and Moustakas this year. They find more value in the markets then the Sox. Short, long, trades, draft, Milwaukee does it better. It doesn’t matter what area the Sox have been in free agency, their signings have been atrocious.

Notice that Milwaukee has been able to find good value doing this. White Sox results make it even worse than it seems.

Absolutely, and it’s not a discussion that 1b in general cannot be valuable, it’s that being a 1b earlier in their career may indicate a lack of athleticism or whatever else, and their bats have often stagnated in the minors they basically are what they are and others catch up. But look at the record of college 1b last decade, it’s not good. I believe Paul himself was what, catcher when drafted?

But here we are with a hugely consequential pick. Gun to head Id still take Abrams if available over Vaughn, but I would have a hard time not being excited to take him.

Yes if we are going to retroactively apply trades the best would have been Sale to Nats for Lopez, Robles and Soto or Sale to Braves for Acuna, Riley, pitching prospects etc. But I still think in 5 years Moncada/Kopech will rival those hauls. Maybe not Acuna. I think Soto has an unbelievable debut but still find it hard to believe how good it was.

It’s really not comparable. They need to fill up a 20k stadium 40 times a year. The Sox do that double. The bulls have also had more consistent playoff success and it’s much easier to. Sox having a lost decade is really brutal and it kills the attendance, even aside from fact that it’s the south side of the city hollowing out.

Just the hate TA got from people for saying he was glad it was over, and some tweets on that reply undercutting Yolmer. Don’t have any problem people criticizing org on replies to white Sox tweets, but I mean it’s not Sox players jobs to try and suppress salaries for the front office sucking.
