  1. Dude this is a message board not a peer reviewed journal. And nobody is freaking out.
  2. Didn’t they pair it with saying the money went toward stadium improvements at same time though? Maybe it was after
  3. Who would be excited about Gio? Have to remember that while at end of career Lofton was a big name.
  4. I don’t know how to do defensive splits but I actually thought he progressed a lot.
  5. Maybe but Dye was like watching someone run in a pool in 2008.
  6. I've said this before but worth restating, the idea that lozano is irrational and overplayed his hand isn't right. He's calculated that he isn't going to lose his client money by waiting, and could possibly get more money by waiting than signing the top offer now. And maybe that's right, but I think realistically the market won't move at all, he'll eventually come down and a small gap will be bridged.
  7. I kinda wanna know if Roeper goes to soxfest. Lowkey storyline.
  8. Maybe they will do the physical at SoxFest?
  9. With hologram technology as advanced as it is they don't even need to fly him in!
  10. It's hard to figure though, sox appear to be very influenced by trackman data in their drafting.
  11. and wearing a phillies hat.
  12. It will not be a difficult contract to move though, which is attractive for dodgers.
  13. There are not multiple Pollack, Pollock or Pawlucks that were signed recently, I think we are okay everyone. We all know what you are saying.
  14. No, I'm saying pointing it out is stupid. Everyone knows who everyone is talking about, it is a pain to edit on the phone, and it quite literally changes it from what people originally typed.
  15. No I agree, a few pages back I said Friedman wasn't one to back himself into a corner.
  16. God this is so stupid. People type on their phones, or in a hurry, and autocorrect is everywhere.
  17. Well, would those players accept being signed in their 33-36 seasons at 12-15million per? I think teams would extend that.
  18. I think it is a head nod to the difficulty of the harpchado negotiations. Contracts have been turned on their heads the last two years as agents worked to squeeze more money out of players that performed while guaranteeing the highest possible floor on market. It's incredibly difficult to even say so and so is signed for 4 for 50, because it's like a choose your own adventure contract.
  19. FTR, my impression of friedman is he would not back himself into a corner like this. I wouldn't be surprised if they still keep pederson if they don't like deals and just somehow make 30 legit mlb players work like they do every year.
  20. The sox were lucky enough to quash reporting on a deal consummated at like midnight for about 10 hours (jimenez trade). The idea that they can quash a completed deal for days that would have approval through the commissioners office, two teams involved and agents is not believable.
  21. I'm gonna guess no other team offered pollock that 5th year.
