  1. QUOTE(SEALgep @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) We can get picks if he leaves next year, right? Yes.
  2. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) ChiSox7546: this isnt gonna be very close Chisox3443: i betcha it will be Hmm. Whoever that guy was, he was wrong.
  3. QUOTE(FGarcia34 @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 05:50 PM) After hearing that Garland turned down a three year deal from the Sox on ESPN Radio last week, it got The Rock thinking. From the lists of players to be traded the main pitching name that sticks out is Barry Zito. Now with Garland likely to leave in 2007, why not deal him now while his stock is the highest its ever been. Adding another lefty to the staff would be a great addition and from what I can tell Billy Beane loves good looking white pitchers (Zito, Mulder, Harden, etc). So I suggest trading Garland for Zito and securing Zito to one of those patented 3 year 20-some million contract, what do you guys think? What makes you think Barry Zito is going to accept a 3 yr 20 million dollar a year deal? Garland isn't going anywhere anyways, moot point.
  4. Have a good one.
  5. Ozzie has said Thome is batting 3rd. It still wouldn't surprise me if Paul or Dye do, but it won't be Tad.
  6. Well that was one of the worse spots I've ever seen.

  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 04:27 PM) Reggie Bush>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>the god you worship Frank Thomas?
  9. QUOTE(trev76 @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) Does anyone know when the College football bowl games are announced im anxious to see if notre dame makes the fiesta bowl They did. Now you don't have to be anxious.
  10. Reggie Bush has 105 yards rushing with 3 minutes left in the first quarter.
  11. QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) i'm very very tempted to try and put somethign together to get down there. Does that involve picking me up here?
  12. I wanna go.
  13. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 01:36 PM) Prediction: Long of the Year...take the points and UCLA (21 point underdogs). Final Score: UCLA 49 USC 46 I expect a total shootout and a close game. I'm picking UCLA because I'm biased. UCLA has a dynomite offense, USC has no defense. UCLA has no defense and will not be able to stop USC's offense. Turnovers will be the difference and if UCLA wins it will be because USC lost the football (uncharacteristic of them). In all honesty I think USC will win (but I'll make my prediction of UCLA anyway) but its going to be close and it will be a fun game to watch (total shootout). Didn't you predict UCLA to finish outside the top 25 a few weeks ago?
  14. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) I must be totally missing the boat with Furcal. Before this season, I saw a guy that played defense very similar to Jose Valentin, with fielding percentage included. I also see a guy that happened to have his best year defensively in a contract year. I also see a guy thats already 28 and should have been in his prime for the past 2-3 years, yet none of the season's would put him anything more than slightly above average at the SS position. I see a guy that in his 4 full years in the majors is averaging 12 homers and 56 rbi's with over 600 at-bats each year in a potent Braves lineup. I must be missing something big here if teams are offering him anything over 6-7 million a year. Why are you looking at his power numbers? The guy is a good player but what the dodgers are offering for him is nuts, no doubt about that.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 01:20 PM) Did they get Benson? Not yet, but Benson for Julio has been rumored.
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 04:43 AM) Why is it that Baltimore can't seem to remember that pitching is a part of the game? This is the same franchise that had Palmer, McNally, Cuellar, etc. :headshake The Orioles are a mess. Abreu is obviously a great player but Erik Bedard is by far their best starting pitcher and they want to get rid of him? Right.
  17. Colorado starts off the game with a nice drive, they fumble on that drive and Texas strikes with the first score. 7-0 UT.
  18. QUOTE(Wealz @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 12:21 PM) Lot's of things have changed since last year. Like What?
  19. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) maybe it's just me but i say he goes back to the Braves and shows loyalty to the Braves. I really doubt it. I think Furcal is waiting for the biggest deal possible. While this deal is obviously way to much as far as money per year goes, I think Furcal holds out for a 4-5 year deal.
  20. QUOTE(Wealz @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) The Ozzie Plan offers so many different possible combination of games that it would be near impossible to process orders over the phone in a timely fashion UNLESS the customer has his act together. Internet only is definitely the way to go. I ordered my ozzie plan over the phone last year, worked fine.

    Why the heck would the Padres trade Mark Loretta for David Wells?
  22. QUOTE(timotime @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 10:42 AM) you are like the kid in high school who hates the assistant principle, the one that is the disciplinarian. if that guy is gone, another will fill his shoes and do the same thing. welcome to reality. its the same thing with boras- if all his clients were to fire him, there would be some other aggressive agent who would pick all those clients up. so no, i dont follow, because thats the way business works in a capitalist society, regardless of what industry you are in. (i did not see your edit until i posted this) The White Sox won't deal with Boras, so yes the Boras factor is huge no matter what the player is or what he's worth.
  23. QUOTE(UofIChiSox @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) I definitely understand where they are coming from. When I got the DVD, I was certainly surprised that there wasn't more coverage of the Astros. I obviously didn't complain about it, but I did notice it. Hell, they followed Sox players, I'd have liked it just as much to have some behind the scenes stuff of the Astros. Seen what their locker room was like after the games and what not. But it's all good, I love the DVD, and I'm going to go pop it in right now. Ok..lets think about this. We won the world series, who is going to buy this dvd more the Sox fans for 'Stros fans? To be honest it never even crossed my mind that the Astros would be on the dvd that much as far as behind the scenes crap goes. If they won it, I wouldn't have bought the dvd and wouldn't have expected extensive sox coverage.
