QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) He is very respected among the parents. Trust me Josh, he isn't anymore.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 11:41 PM) he was suspended with pay. He'll be fired, he almost has to be. What parent in their right mind would want their kids having a teacher who possesses child porn?
-
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) Go to hell. I am not saying this is right however I hope that he can put this behind him. He made a mistake. What the hell is your problem anyways? Child porn for a middle school teacher is a little bit more then a mistake.

QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) how about John Garland & Brian Anderson for Dontrell Willis & Juan Pierre? Green? Also for the sole purpose of being a smart ass, it's jon.

QUOTE(spataro51 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) it should be about 24 hrs. I put a deposit down Friday night and havent got a call yet. I'm also impatient, hopefully nothing went wrong.

Good luck Frank. Happy he's not in our division but wish he didnt pick a team I hate so much.

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) Just a question. Who plays CF then? I can't see Pods in CF. He was awful when I have seen him out there before. I'm sure Crawford would. Crawford is one hell of a left fielder, I'm not sure how good of a cf he is but I'm sure he'd play center here cause Kenny has said that Pods is best left where he is right now.

QUOTE(dmbjeff @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) if we could trade fields and duque for crawford, i say lets do it Hehe, well....duh.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) Not a chance. if I had the chance to get a guy with that kind of arm, I would be all over him, especially if it didn't cost too much. A guy like that might just need a change of scenery and a new teacher ala Bobby Jenks. You just don't find arms like that everyday. His arm really isn't that amazing. He's a pitcher with a funky motion more then anything. I compared him to Borch cause both guys were first rounders with talent who so far have been awful in the major leagues.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) Yesterday, Kenny Williams said he is not interested in Juan Pierre. Which means absolutely nothing.
-
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) Maybe because that trade rumor was majorly bogus. Dewon Brazelton (even with his control issues) >>>>> Joe Borchard Brazelton is actually almost the equal of Borchard as a pitcher.
-
That would have been one hell of a move for Arizona.

A lot of money and 5 years is nuts for Burnett but Toronto has built themselves one solid pitching staff. Halladay/Burnett/Chacin/Lilly/Batista(if he's not traded) or Towers. With Ryan, Speir, and Frasor in the pen. Not bad.

QUOTE(daa84 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 01:25 AM) howrys K rate regressed drastically last year, Who gives a hoot about his k rate, he posted a 2.47 era, only 49 hits in 73 innings and only 16 walks as well. The guy was absolutely terrific.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) Boras will not get much for crede unless he produces... people need to start realizing this. It is fully possible after what we saw the last couple months that crede can out produce dye... ( think he can within a couple years) but it is also fully possible that he hits in the .240's again. I don't think that's the ultimate problem with Joe and Boras. First off, we're going to have to find out if Kenny will even deal with him. Second, if the Sox do want to bring Joe back and will deal with Boras, you know Boras is going to drag on the process and handcuff the Sox at 3rd base to the point where Kenny will just move on.

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) Is non-tendering Crede really a possibility? No.

Ok this from are good friend Dayn Perry, I just found this stuff funny as he's giving out report cards for the offseason so far: This about the Dodgers: Great move in signing Furcal to below-market contract. This little part about Paul:Overpaid for Konerko ------------------------------------------------------- Then he cries a little bit about pods as usual but still gives us a B+. I Just found the parts about Furcal and Paul quite funny.

QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) That must be it. Maybe I am biased, but I think this is a DUMB Move by the Tribe. Why give more money to Hoffman than a younger more effective Bob Howry? Why not let the Cabrera kid (your closer of the future) try to close games... and use 8 million a year on a decent 1b/dh. Well...that's definitely a lot of money but I think Cleveland thinks they're ready to compete for a championship this year(though I don't) and having a rookie closer step in at the beginning of the year isn't exactly the best way to go about things if you want to win this year. The Bobby situation last year was a bit different cause he came onto the roster as the last man and earned the closer spot or atleast proved he was capable. Very much agreed though that it was a bad move to let Howry go.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) Rosenthal has an article up that pretty much says Hoffman will be taking a physical on Tuesday/Wednesday. Three years, $21-24 -- does that sound right, JD? Wow, some nice money there for Trevor. Still a very solid pitcher, so a nice move for this year but it might bite them in the behind in a few years. So does Bradley play left next year for Oakland?
-
QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 11:10 PM) 1. Hoffman close to signing a 3 year deal with the Tribe. Some are saying a physical could be taken as soon as tomorrow. 2. Milton Bradley has been traded to the A's for Kirk Saarloos and Minor Leaguer Mario Ramos. 3. The Padres are the only teaming currently interested in Nomar as an infielder. My guess is thats where he will end up. 4. The Washington Nationals are now getting in on the AJ Burnett bidding. These are some of the important notes I noticed tonight... what caught your eye. Is the Bradley thing official, JD? I thought it was still just a rumor.

I really don't like this thing. Might be entertaining but it's really meaningless to me. That said, for players especially from different countries this is going to be huge, meaning they're going to put more strain on their arms by how competitive they're going to be and that's what scares me. Well...nothing I can do about it so I wish Freddy, Mark, and Tad the best of luck in this.

QUOTE(Felix @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) For some reason, I think this thread is meant to be green, but I'm not too sure I would hope so. Byrd is a solid pitcher but Millwood was flat out awesome for them. Howry and Wickman were also outstanding for the tribe last year, there is a good shot they will lose all three.
