I'd rather keep Pablo out there. He's become very comfortable at 3rd and he's been solid out there for a while now, plus having him in the 9 slot can really make things happen for the bottom of the order with his speed turning the lineup over to Pods.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 12:07 AM) LMFAO I shouldn't be laughing...cuz the Pats are probly gonna kill the Bills this season too...but oh man, that was just too awesome. I hate both of you.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) When you're running naked down a North Dakota street in late October, with it probably snowing, and you screaming your f***in lungs out, I don't think you're gonna care too much whether or not ESPN ignores you. Just write White Sox 05 Champs on your body and then you can maybe get on SC

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) Let's just say for a second that Chicago AL won the big series at the end of the season. Would media outlets like ESPN continue to ignore this franchise and act as though they do not exist? I could see the top story on Sportscenter being how disappointing it was that the Bo Sox couldn't get back to the WS rather than how the other Chicago team won it all. I do not know and I would not care, I'd be so f***in excited that nothing else would matter.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:46 PM) That is about exactly what I'm rooting for. That would be absolutely fine with me.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:40 PM) What do you have to worry about? I doubt the Pats challenge the Dolphins for the 4th place title this year. me you

QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) Watch out for WSI, that place will ban you for saying that el duque has aged and therefore might not be as good a postseason pitcher as he previously was. They do have a cult, it is a cult of optimism. Heretics are burned. You were absolutely ridiculous at wsi, I agree they've went to far but you deserved it imo.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) Idonno they didnt really impress me much... I just think Oakland is really bad coached team right now and their secondary is a joke... And they didnt use their WR's like they should of. Meh, first game of the season. They didn't play their best game but they didn't have to. They're going to be right back in the superbowl imo, I wish they'd just go away but they won't.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:01 PM) In the overall scheme of things, those count as fans, because they are going to the ballpark. Doesn't matter who's hardcore and who's not - we're only talking about attendance. Well you were talking about fans Attendance is a whole different story.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) Damn, you sound bitter. So young, yet so full of angst. LOL, I'm not bitter, I could care less about attendance like I've said numerous times here. Just speaking the truth though.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) This is a cubs town. Always has been, always will be. Anyone want to venture a guess on the percentage of cubs fans in this city? There just aren't enough 'sox fans' to go around and make it 35,000 every night. There are many other reasons, but that's the big one in my mind. The sox have as much if not more fans then the Cubs. Problem is the cubs get all the bandwagon, fair weather, tourist, etc, they get that whole group. Oh yeah that stupid park they play in helps them draw fans as well even when the cell is much nicer.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) Viz sucks. Viz had a 2.25 era in June, 1.20 in July, 3.48 in August, and so far he hasn't let up anything in september. Damaso has a 4.50 era in June, 2.57 in July, 4.32 in August, and 18 so far this month. Right now Viz is definitely better.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:58 PM) Pats are pulling away now. 30-14. These guys are so amazing. Yes they are. I'd prefer if they'd switch divisions though.
-
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) Our offense just got shut down by J.P. Howell. Don't get me wrong. I feel we're a better team than the Indians, but it's not by nearly as much as some are making it out to be. I don't think highly of the Indians and I think we're MUCH better then them. I think the tribe are the worst team out of the wildcard bunch but that's obviously jmo.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) I'm thinking Kotsay will come away with the GG. Unfortunately the gold glove basically became meaningless to me when Jeter won one last year. Rowand and Kotsay are the two best outfielders in the A.L. this year with Hunter on the dl for a lot of the season.

QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) We could easily get our asses kicked by Cleveland. We could easily kick their asses like we have all season.
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) While it obviously works both ways, depending on your glass half full/half empty take, would it be good or bad to meet the Indians in the playoffs? While we have seen there pitchers alot this season, they have seen ours just as often. Would you rather see someone that you have already seen 19 times, or only 6? I'd love to play the Indians just cause I think we'd walk all over them but that's jmo. Also if we play the Indians that means we're already in the alcs, so that would be nice.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) Ozzie's sure going with the starters day in, day out now. I'm surprised that Everett wasn't given a day off. I'm just happy to see Pods in there against a lefty. -

QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) continue the streak, magic number is at 16 right? 15. -
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) Oakland and Minnesota...both very well could miss the playoffs. That was a good bet we made, wasn't it?
-
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:36 AM) Didn't we win 10 in a row in 2003? Nah, I believe we got to 8 when Hawk said he'd shave his head if we won 10 straight but we never got there. That didn't stop Buehrle though from shaving Hawk's head.

Vizcaino without a doubt is more dependable right now. I don't cringe when he comes in like I did at the beginning of the season and like I currently do when Damaso comes in.

QUOTE(JimH @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) Of course, he lives in Arizona Talk about a tough commute! Tell him to get his ass to the park. Back on topic, like everyone said I could care less who the sox play or when it is, I'd love to go to every f'n game I could. Right now with school I can only get to a few games and because of this I'd rather go to playoffs games instead of games in September against the Royals. Trust me though, if I could I would go to every single game.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:18 AM) However, if you don't bring home a "W" tonight, you're going to have serious explaining to do. Look who's talking. :headshake Seriously though, have a good time, I wish I could be there but school sucks.
