  1. I'm behind Pop doing whatever the hell he wants anyways but SA's schedule this month is pretty absurd.
  2. I've been worried about defense as well but we're decently strong up the middle and even with Melky possibly being below average we got rid of an embarrassment of an outfielder. Defense certainly isn't our strength but it's improved.
  3. The ME was fine, the ending to it was the dumbest s*** ever.
  4. Thursday reminded me why I love wrestling and tonight made me realize why some people are embarrassed to watch this crap.
  5. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 08:36 PM) Overbooked POS match Complete terribleness.
  6. Fun stuff. All down hill from here.
  7. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 05:59 PM) I like a good deep dish on a rare occasion but as a ex-new yorker the pizza there is unreal. Literally not a bad slice in the city. One of things I miss the most out here in Seattle is good pizza. I'm not sure the name of the place but the only pizza I've ever actually disliked was from a place in NY.
  8. QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 05:21 PM) This my pie place is actually really good. Like it more than the Lou M's I tried back in 2011. Edit: there's no way I could eat deep dish more than once every couple or months. I feel like a gluttony fat man. Nothing in the world is better than Lou Malnati's. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but yours is wrong.
  9. There are people here who don't like Chicago style pizza? I hate you guys, like a lot.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 04:23 PM) Seattle needs the Cardinals to fall apart, otherwise Green Bay would be hosting Seattle wins out and they win the West but there's a lot of possible tie breaking scenarios between Seattle, GB, Philly and Dallas so not really sure how that's going to get sorted out yet.
  11. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 03:58 PM) Wasn't there smoke around Rowand roiding up? I thought about it but didn't want some of Soxtalk being mad at me.
  12. I was complaining about tendering Viciedo a contract a couple of days ago but with the ability to cut him and only take on 750k or whatever, there was really no point in not tendering him a contract.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 03:12 PM) If Hawk's this excited, it must mean Beckham's coming back. I hope it's Odell Beckham.
  14. Viciedo for Buster Posey it is.
  15. So I may have gotten screwed in my two keeper leagues this season but at least I have Odell Beckham for at least the next few years in both. That dude is ridiculous.
  16. QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 02:01 PM) Why would Lowrie sign for that? Because we're the White Sox and everyone wants to play here now. Or Something.
  17. And please don't lump Brett Myers in with the roiders, Myers was a f***in scumbag, that was one guy I truly never wanted on the Sox.
  18. I really hate Flowers, that guy took roids and tries to frame pitches, the ultimate cheater.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 11:33 AM) Aw, Rick Hahn already got me I wanted. Rob Brantly?
  20. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 10:53 AM) Or release him. If we pick up the money on his deal maybe we can at least get a useful bench player out of him instead of just releasing him. Hopefully.
  21. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 10:18 AM) For those of you saying a SEC football game, I would suggest going to Ole Miss if possible. I love tailgaiting for Tennessee games, and Alabama, Georgia, LSU (night game) are awesome too. But The Grove is so unique. It's hard to truly comprehend it until you go. And Oxford is a pretty charming town as well. The difficult thing about an Ole Miss game is that it's impossible to find a hotel b/c Oxford is so small. You'd have to rent out a house (or apartment) for the weekend, which is what I did last October for the UT-Ole Miss game. A couple of my friends went to Ole Miss for the Miss State game a few weeks back and said it was amazing. The one problem? $40-50 covers to get into bars afterwards. What the s***?
  22. QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 08:36 AM) Personally rather keep Tank, cheap contract, somewhat respectable numbers, nice bat off the bench and can be used at DH, 1B, 3B, LF, and RF I feel, our bench isn't too great (Nieto, Sanchez), please keep Tank, let's keep our bench and Cuban connection strong There's a reason he was moved from 3b and he's never played 1b and he's a horrible defensive of. Not exactly a guy to bring off the bench to play any of those positions.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 09:58 AM) I'm still all for adding him for piss cheap if we don't grab some significant bench players I'd rather give Saladino a shot than signing Gordon.
  24. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 09:57 AM) There has been very little talked about the catcher they picked up from Marlins. What happens to Nieto, after spending a full year with the major league team they send him down to minors? Does he have to clear waivers? He's got options so he'll be in the minors.
