  1. Jeff's name was the only thing relevant to me today, well I guess Robertson's too.
  2. I honestly just respect the hell out of how Rick treats the media. He gives the most honest answers he possibly can in his position and doesn't try to side step any question. I really enjoy that.
  3. Brian is going to hate me for this but I love watching Ron Baker play. The Shocks obviously aren't as good as last year but man their back court is good.
  4. If he comes cheap then I'm all for it. Unfortunately that's not going to be the case so I'd rather use our resources elsewhere.
  5. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 07:46 PM) Sanchez isn't breaking the .700 mark in my mind. Ya I can't see that either.
  6. QUOTE (OsweGo-Go Sox @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 07:40 PM) Why do people get so worked up about #1/#2/#3? After the first week it doesn't matter. Also, I just love hearing Rick Hahn talk. Pretty serious mancrush. I honestly couldn't care less where they're slotted, it's just another discussion point.
  7. The only "hole" left is one of the outfield spots. While Gillaspie and Flowers aren't ideal, they aren't holes either. LF is definitely next.
  8. Hardly did any work today because of the Sox. Thanks Rick!
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 06:00 PM) This is very choppy and flawed logic. Many of those blown saves occurred in the 7th or 8th innings when Robertson would not have been in the game. Beyond that, you can't just take his statistics from the previous year, transmute them to the following season, and assuming everything is going to be the same. If he gives up 1 run in a 3 run game, it's still save even if it's ugly. If he gives up 1 run in a 1 run game, it's a blown save and everyone is angry. He is a good pitcher whose addition is welcome. He is not worth 18 games. I like his logic better though because we're in the playoffs then.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 06:08 PM) Baseball players are such hillbillies. Him and Laroche are gonna get along just fine Buehrle trade imminent.
  11. I really think Ohio State has a better chance than people are giving them.
  12. Evidently he's not done yet either.
  13. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 02:38 PM) 2 HR in 190 career PA. So he can platoon with Gillaspie then, perfect.
  14. QUOTE (scs787 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 02:22 PM) .934 ops vs lhp last year Not quite as good as Semien but nevertheless pretty damn good. Thank you sir. Ya that would work.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 02:13 PM) Way to go out on a limb there! Haha. Hey it made my point!
  16. How were Saladino's splits in the minors? And I'm not freaking out about this or anything, just a talking point as it is something that needs to be filled either internally or outside of the organization.
  17. Seriously though, it seems that everything has pointed at the Sox organization being in love with Micah for a while now, I think he's your starting 2b.
  18. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 01:09 PM) Johnson's the guy, and I'd bat him 8. 1. Spanky 2. Mysterion (Cargo if Danks/Tanks moved elsewhere?) 3. Everyday Damage 4. Massive Elk 5. No Neck 6. Smiley 7. Fats 8. Running as if trying to escape Indiana 9. Flower Power If Rodon's the horse I think he is, they'll have 4 guys we'll feel good about starting in October. Ohhh, yeahhh
  19. Pitching for the White Sox is a dream come true for Samardzija if you didn't hear.
  20. QUOTE (SnB @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 11:51 AM) Missed the playoffs due to the division format, would have been in otherwise. Saaaad. Sucks doesn't it? My team was on fire too because of Beckham and Evans, just sucks. I had such a weird season though, started 4-0 and then lost 5 straight and then won my last 5.
  21. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 11:45 AM) I realize all three are owed a lot of money. Which one would be be the best for the Sox, not factoring in money? Well Kemp is by far the best player but we obviously have to factor in money.
  22. Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 45s46 seconds ago david roberston has limited no trade provision w/ chisox. can pick 5 teams
  23. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 11:42 AM) Apparently we may have signed another reliever too He's got jokes since the Robertson thing isn't official yet.
  24. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 11:41 AM) Dan Hayes ‏@CSNHayes 31s32 seconds ago #WhiteSox 40-man roster is down to 38 with the move. Will be up to 39 shortly. Hearing they may have signed a reliever. What a funny guy.
