The Curious Case of Mark Buehrle
Eh I love Mark but putting him in the hall would kind of be a joke.

7/17 Games
I got a feeling Phegley is a AAAA player but ya, he should be getting a look the rest of this season.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 09:32 PM) You'd just have more ejections! That I believe ha.

The Curious Case of Mark Buehrle
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 06:02 PM) I just want him to retire here. But man he's something else. Also, we should just stop comparing any pitcher (Quintana) to Buehrle. We're more likely to see the next Sale than Buehrle. I'm fine with comparing someone to Buehrle if they're like Mark, Quintana is a completely different animal.

Official Squared Circle Thread
QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 04:31 PM) You mean like if I would put them in order like Renee, Nikki (Great Dr), Layla, Lana, and Emma in my top 5. Slim pickings. Bring up Alexis Bliss and she's my #1 Renee, AJ and Paige are my top 3 in some order. Yes I know you think Paige is a buttaface and you don't like AJ blah blah blah. I love Alexa Bliss too though.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 04:02 PM) May have to rethink my allegiance. http://www.wwe.com/inside/wwe-divas/nxt-su...ion-lana-photos I like Lana but I still have her 4th in my favorite current diva rankings. Because you know, everyone ranks their favorite divas...

White Sox expanding free T-shirt Mondays
QUOTE (lord chas @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 04:04 PM) What ever happened to half price Mondays? Drunk's killed it. I'm not sure if that's true but probably.

2nd half predictions thread
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 03:54 PM) White Sox sign Willie Bloomquist and they insert him at 2B and the leadoff position immediately. Willie Bloomquist puts up .478/.576/.878/1.454 line, wins the league MVP despite not being a qualified hitter for most major statistical categories, and the White Sox stun the Tigers, winning 55 of their remaining 66 games, and they end the year with a final record of 100-62. Not much of a prediction there.

2014-2015 NBA thread
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 03:32 PM) Deal should be done already if so. If I am Minnesota I would take Wiggins, Waiters, Bennett, Miami's #1 next year and another 1st rounder for Love in a heartbeat. If the Cavs are willing to include Wiggins it'll get done at some point, probably just some negotiating going on with what other players/picks will be going with him.

Keith Law's Midseason Top 50 Prospects
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 02:40 PM) This year, Sale is at 93.4, Kershaw is at 93. Not a huge, huge difference. Seems they both sit in the 92-95 range, with Sale reaching peak velocity a little more often. Had it in my mind that the difference was a bit more. Nevermind, nothing to see here.

Keith Law's Midseason Top 50 Prospects
Sale throws a bit harder than Clayton too, right? But ya, I'm not arguing against Kershaw.

I miss Rocco Baldelli now.

Favorite Dylan Axelrod moment
Mine is this thread. Seriously though, I have nothing against Dylan, he did the best he could and that's all Jesus could ask of him.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 02:00 PM) Who is driving Axe to the airport? I vote Tmar.

Chris Sale
QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 12:32 PM) Sale ranked #11 in FanGraph's trade value rankings, the highest rank pitcher in the majors: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2014-trade-value-20-11/ Love.

Keith Law's Midseason Top 50 Prospects
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 12:25 PM) Pure guess here... Either Beckham or Jon Rauch. Don't think Beckham got that close to the top 10. Rauch or Borchard are probably good guesses.

NCAA basketball 2014-15 thread
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 10:56 PM) No offense, but SIU was in such a shambles you have to wonder why Barry took that job. Is there any way in hell he can turn that program back around? You guys got any good players yet under Barry? It was the only head coaching job he'd get. And yes, he's doing a very good job so far turning around the program but the weak scheduling does no good for anybody. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 05:52 AM) He's already turning it around. Kyle, Rowand, and myself talk about it right here every year. In fact we are thinking about starting our own web based show or podcast with weekly staples such as "What else could Lowery screw up?" and "What job is Torres Roundtree holding this week?". Gonna be huge! A podcast of us 3 talking about SIU basketball and wrestling, imagine the ratings! QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 06:37 AM) You should look into his previous job at MSU. Barry took that job because he needed a job as much as the Salukis needed a coach I hate lowery so much Yup. Yup.

2014-2015 NBA thread
QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 04:06 PM) Absolutely...I think some people are still wrapped up in the loss of Melo and thinking the result of it is an underwhelming/undeserving Bulls team. Like others have said, this is a a Bulls squad that went 33-16 after trading Deng, now they're adding Rose, Pau, Mirotic, and McDermott to that team....They should be really really good....if healthy The thing is nobody gives a damn anymore what they accomplished in the regular season. They're definitely improved, no doubt but we'll have to see just how much.

2014-2015 NBA thread
If both teams are healthy the Bulls and Cavs are probably your two finalists in the East but when pg death happens who knows...

2014-2015 NBA thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 02:28 PM) If Hibbert and George play like all stars then that's a 2nd round capable team. Of course, I'm counting like 5-6 2nd round capable teams in the East and can't figure out who will get beyond that at this point. (Cavs, Bulls, Pacers, Wizards, maybe Bobcats, Heat, maybe a surprise or two somewhere). Toronto.

2014 Official Trade Deadline Thread
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 12:03 PM) Patton went to SIU-Edwardsville, in case anybody here may recognize the name. And Frasor went to the real SIU. How about that.
