  1. Seahawks lose at home.
  2. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 04:20 PM) Defensively biased team with no prayer of stopping Marshall/Jeffrey with an inconsistent offense that often beats itself? They're a dream matchup for the Bears. They're not a dream matchup for anyone. You can look at it however you want but they're also 5th in pass defense and 8th in rushing offense so that looks good from their point of view.
  3. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) The Bears would absolutely ruin Carolina. It would be a bloodbath, they are exactly the type of team we are built to annihilate. No.
  4. QUOTE (zenryan @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 04:05 PM) They're good at blowing out the bad teams like the Bucs twice, the Giants, the Vikings and the Falcons. Carolina is average 13.8 points per game against teams with a winning record. I wonder far they can go winning games by scoring 17 or less points, especially if Steve Smith is out for any length of time. Granted, that ppg is extremely low, I'll give you that but blowing out bad teams and squeaking by good teams seems pretty normal, I certainly wouldn't consider them extremely lucky. That Broncos team you're comparing them to was 8-8 with a -81 point differential, the two teams aren't close.
  5. The Panthers are 4th in the league in point differential, they're right where they should be.
  6. People are actually offended by that? Yeesh.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 21, 2013 -> 10:56 PM) Fallon and Timberlake on SNL has been awesome so far Ya it's been great.
  8. Don't f*** with the backcourt of DJ Augustin and Tony Snell.
  9. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 21, 2013 -> 02:17 PM) The same fan base that doesn't watch the team play in person? I wouldn't be making moves to appease the fan base because fans are generally stupid. I don't expect Dunn to be gone. Nobody is going to take Dunn's entire salary and it doesn't make sense to pay part of the contract to get a C rated prospect in return. In my opinion, the only option is to let Dunn play in the first half and hope that he hits enough homers to deal him at the deadline. It's not like he's blocking someone. This.
  10. They're out tanking us!
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 21, 2013 -> 12:43 AM) No way. Willie's birthday is December 23rd. He got a McCarthy jersey for his birthday. Ha, sadly enough I actually remember that conversation.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 10:23 PM) You don't say. Zero idea what ptatc is talking about. Liked him better when he was telling Undertaker stories.
  13. I like what we have in the pen. I'm good rolling with these guys, let Jones go into ST as the closer and if Webb steals it from him at some point that's cool too.
  14. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 07:53 PM) Edwin Jackson has started 235 games in MLB with 1444 total innings and his earnings to this point = $40.355M Dan Hudson has started 62 games in MLB with 381 innings and has earned $1.441M Holmberg has started 1 game in MLB with 3.2 total innings pitched and has earned what, a prorated league minimum for being on the roster? Yes, if the Sox could take any 1 of the 3 right now, given their situation as a rebuilding club wanting to dump salary, they'd take Holmberg. But Holmberg may not be worth anything at all a few months from now for all we know, and if there's any one of the three pitching for me in a game that actually matters and a game that I want to see my team win, then that's a slam dunk who I want pitching it and it's certainly not Holmberg. I meant between Holmberg, Jaye and Webb. As for the rest of this argument, I've said my piece, I'm done with it.
  15. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 04:47 PM) I don't get it. They should only be talking to 3 players. Whom they think will be #1, #2 and #3. It's impossible that one of those guys won't be available, and you know, best available and whatnot. To even consider 3 other guys is a huge mistake. Best available, yada yada yada. I know you're trying to make a point here but it makes no sense.
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 08:45 PM) Yep Thirded. And yes Bonds' numbers are just absurd to look at now.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 08:45 PM) True Dat. Unquestionably not your best work though.
  18. Just get in the lottery, 1.7 percent says that anything can happen.
  19. Granger's back, I'm interested to see how this works.
  20. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 07:26 PM) And Frasor was in the second Jackson deal. Separate deals. Either way, Holmberg is the most valuable of all those guys.
  21. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 07:05 PM) 1) This was in the NL 2) You are using hindsight There have been posters here making it out like Coop didn't like Hudson, which would make sense for the deal. If that's true then you trade your guy before he gets hurt. But back to the above 2 points, there's no guarantee he would have done that here and also, going back in time to when that deal was made, it would have been a leap at best to say that during the 1.5 seasons Jackson was contracted to the Sox that Hudson would have been the better bet for both making the postseason (high IP) and going deep into it. Kenny wanted Jackson for the same reason the Cards wanted him to complete the Rasmus deal. How is that hindsight? I hated the deal when it happened and Edwin was extremely mediocre through out his career when we got him. He was just as much of a wild card as Hudson with out the remaining years and once again we gave up an extra good arm.
  22. I know we were trying to win but you don't trade your best prospect and one who was ready to go for a guy who was already been proven to be mediocre and had a 5 era at the time. You can try to spin it any way you want but it was at the time and will always be a ridiculously stupid move to me.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 06:53 PM) Sometimes I have a few things to suggest to my parents when they ask, but other times my Mom will just come up with stuff. Ya this is me basically. Every now and than(like once every 3 years probably) I'll ask for a jersey but usually my mom will just buy me some random White Sox and Bulls stuff that she finds. My dad still just gives me money which is great.
  24. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 06:46 PM) Yet we somehow won that one as well. Remember, got Webb and Jaye in that. We got them in the Jason Frasor trade and gave up Holmberg along with Huddy. Even if you just look at the 1.5 years that Jackson was here, Huddy out produced him. Enter into the equation the amount of years Huddy was under contract(yes I know he's been hurt), the fact that Hudson had to have had a ton of value at that point and we gave up another good arm in the deal? Yuck.
  25. I probably hated the BMac-Danks trade more than anyone when it happened but that ended up being lopsided in our favor. The Huddy-Jackson trade to this day still makes 0 sense to me.
